I travel as a hobby—I've stayed in nearly 30 different hotels, B&Bs, and rental rooms in the last year alone, both on road trips in the States and on vacations abroad—and Velvet Sheep Farms is one of the best experiences I have had. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the amenities one could ask for. The bathroom especially was wonderful; many places tend to skimp when it comes to baths or showers, but the one in the Olive Suite that I stayed in was phenomenal. Meanwhile, the property itself is a working farm with sheep and goats on the premises. While the sheep were typical, surly farm animals that I found were best enjoyed from afar, the goats were very social and immediately tried to run up to me when I approached their pen. Adding to it, a young kid had just been born a few days before my arrival, and it was a cute addition to the herd. But it was my hosts who really took the experience above and beyond. They were friendly, casual, and full of information both about local history and what to do in the area. My dinner was a wonderful experience thanks to their advice on places to eat in nearby Sheboygan, while the breakfast they served was expansive AND delicious. On top of all of that, my host also asked if I wanted some pictures with the aforementioned baby goat and retrieved it for me, letting me take a few photos cradling it as a memento. All in all, I cannot recommend staying here enough! It was an amazing experience helped along by amazing people. They also sell yarn and a few other items made from the wool of their own sheep, which is perfect as either a memento of your trip or as a souvenir to bring home for friends and family.

The Velvet Sheep Farm is amazing place to stay! My Wife and I spent 2 nights. The house was incredibly inviting, and homey. With plenty of entertaining things for you to do! Books, vinyl records, board games, and only 15 minute drive away from downtown Sheboygan. Every morning we woke to a delicious vegetarian friendly breakfast! Every night Josh Set up a bonfire for all the guests. The goats and sheep were so charming and friendly as well! Josh and Kelli were always ready to help and were always very nice to chat with! If you looking for a quite place to stay with a calm atmosphere for animal lovers you simply cant go wrong with Josh and Kelli at the Velvet sheep Farms!

Josh and Kelli are awesome! First B & B stay for my 7 year old son and I as well. He was a bit anxious about staying in someone's home and is totally sold on it now (me too:). The room we were in was very nice and the bathroom was first class. Kelli made a great breakfast, we were both stuffed. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Thank you for having us!

We stayed in the Jewel room as a weekend getaway to Sheboygan. Josh and Kelli could not be more welcoming and were great hosts. Breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, and we had a wonderful experience exploring the farm and seeing the animals. Highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning!

We had a wonderful time at Velvet Sheep Farms. We stayed for two nights in the Olive Room. Kelli and Josh were incredible hosts - easy to communicate with and very hospitable. One of our favorite parts of course were the sheep/goats. We couldn't resist coming home with some of their yarn, especially since Josh could tell us exactly which sheep it came from. Highly recommend!

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast and future ones now have a lot to live up to! The owners are very interesting and I had numerous informative conversations with them. Yet, I also had plenty of time and freedom to relax and just hang out with the animals. The goats, ewes, and rams are clearly well taken cared for and loved. They were so much fun to watch, especially during mating season. The farm location is fantastic. I felt safe and cozy the entire time I was there. It’s less then 10 minutes to a variety of food options and entertainment, including a 5 star spa. The home, room, and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I also had a delicious breakfast each morning that kept me full well beyond lunchtime as well as plenty of coffee. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a serene getaway. I already can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful time at Velvet Sheep Farms! The room we stayed in was cozy, the breakfast was awesome, and Kelli & Josh were so sweet and accommodating! They took us on a tour of their beautiful farm to meet all the animals and they even put out toys for our son who had an absolute blast the whole time. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in Sheboygan!

My daughter and I stayed at Velvet Sheep Farms in August. Kelli and Josh are wonderful hosts and are eager to make your stay as perfect as possible. The Bed and Breakfast is a lovely old house on a sheep/goat farm. Our room was clean, neat, modern, and smaller in size, but adequate for us. The bathroom was lovely, modern, and clean. The breakfasts were prepared in a more healthy style and there was always more than enough food! The food tasted great and we always ate our fill at each breakfast. We did many things in the Sheboygan/Kohler area and we could drive to all of them in 15 minutes or less. The farm is in the country, but close to the freeway for easy travel. We had fun feeding the goats and watching the sheep everyday. It is a quiet location and very special. I hope we get to stay there again soon!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Velvet Sheep B&B. Warm welcome from Josh and Kelli; nice rooms in a refurbished farm house; delicious breakfast; convenient location with easy access to Sheboygan and surrounding area. Enjoyed walking the grounds and visiting with the sheep and goats.
