All I can say is WOW! The staff and authentic feel were absolutely amazing! It was a phenomenal experience. The authentic German beer, potato soup, schnitzel and the apple strudel were delicious. A must visit if you visit Basalt! Definitely coming back!

Pleasant low key vibe. Excellent service both friendly and professional. I had the Monte Cristo which was excellent but could have been hotter. I enjoyed the Smashed Potatoes. Wife had the Chicken Schnitzel sandwich which was huge. She enjoyed a quarter of it and took three quarters home for the next three lunches. Field Greens side was also good. Would definitely return.

This past Wednesday a group of us visited Wienerstube Restaurant in Willits Town Center in Basalt, Colorado. Parking is plentiful and free along the street. On Wednesday nights, Wienerstube offers 50% off schnitzel and beer, and that was the reason for our visit. The outdoor patio was full already by 6.30pm, so we decided to take a table inside by the window. There were only two waiters working, so service was a bit slow since the restaurant was pretty busy. The 50% special applies to both the wiener schnitzel (which can be selected as pork, veal or chicken) or the jaeger schnitzel. We tried a 1L beer at 50% off, and the glass was shaped like a boot! We even saw someone get the largest 2L size, which was INSANE. My chicken schnitzel was moist and delicious, and I thought it was our favorite amongst the entrees. The pork wiener schnitzel my mom had was a little bit tough and definitely did not heat as well when we had half of it for lunch the next day. The Jaeger schnitzel came with a mushroom sauce and macaroni salad, but I thought the chicken was more outstanding. For dessert, which was my favorite part of the meal, we had the tiramisu and the apple strudel. The tiramisu was world class - however, the apple strudel's crust was soggy, which is not how true appel strudel should be. Either way, the meal was about $30 per person including tax given the 50% off special, so I highly recommend you check out dining with them on their special evenings, which also includes 50% off steak and wine on Thursdays.

It's probably the best restaurant in Basalt, CO. The first time I was here, we were treated like kings. They have many beers on tap, and they are not shy about offering you tastings to ensure you pick one you like. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is outstanding. Dark wood handcrafted custom bar, handmade hardwood tables, inset lighting, and great music loud enough to enjoy, but quiet enough to have a conversation. Has that perfect balance of romantic lighting and "bright enough to read the menu without using your cell phone". The Salmon Tartare is spectacular, be sure to try it! The chicken schnitzel is thin, well-seasoned, and tender. The carmelization of the onions on the beef sliders (with a hint of Blue Cheese in the meat?) is very nice.

Update: You cannot just round the charge up! My bill was for $38.22 and I gave you $7.60 tip which makes $45.82 and not $46.- which you charged me. It’s not about the 18¢ but the principal! Looking at other reviews you seem to have a problem with being accurate! We finally made it back here. 😁 We had Wiener Schnitzel and the Veal Jäger Goulash. Very good! The Kölsch is for you if you like a lighter beer, the Weltenburger Dunkel is from a Monastery on the Danube river in Germany. Prost ! Thank you. PS.: in 🇩🇪 the “ie” is pronounced like the “ei” in 🇺🇸.

From the time we walked in to the time we left, we were well taken care of. Food suggestions from our Server were nice. They accommodated our requests when we asked for something just a little different than what was offered on the menu. Everything we ordered was prepared nicely, and tasted wonderful. The timing by the server to replenish drinks and inquire about food was excellent. The four of us had a really nice overall experience!! Well done Wienerstube! Thank you..

I used to go here when it was good. But the food is now awful. I ordered the chicken which seemed precooked and heated up. The charcuterie board is much smaller than last time I went - very disappointing. Last thing, the owner is so unkind and rude that I know many people in the valley who have walked out of this place because if his behavior. The beer is good, that’s about it…

Excellent food. We arrived for the last part of happy hour and had the pate platter which was great. Then we had dinner of Jaeger Schnitzel and Goulash. Would recommend both. Jay, our server, took very good care of us and made great recommendations on our food and wine choices. Potions were generous and we took left overs back to our room at the Element hotel where we luckily have a refrigerator.

We went for the first time for Sunday Brunch today. So excited as we love German food! The food, AMAZING! The beer/wine/drink selections, AMAZING! The service, worst we have ever had! The 2 servers were horrific at best. No personality, no attention to detail and if it wasn't for the bartender coming out from behind the bar to assist with cleaning up (we had to ask him if we could order through him - he was extremely nice and helpful!) It took over 15 minutes just to get water - took over 30 minutes to get our beer/cocktail - took over 30 minutes to get our 2 apps - took over an hour to get our food. Server never asked if we needed anything - ran out of water, my cocktail, had to ask another busser I think for plates and silverware, it was terrible service. The place was only half full. Definitely will go back for the food and beer! Just don't expect much for the service. Loved the atmosphere! We were just a party of two friends celebrating our birthdays.

After a scorching day of golf, we opted for brunch at this spot. The cold beer hit the spot, and the meal was truly outstanding, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Incredible German food. We tried 4 appetizers ( even the fresh baked pretzels were HUGE and delicious. ) All 4 of us raved about the food. Yes, pricey- but it’s a vacation town. Service was also great.

*Honest Review * I have high standards when it comes to European restaurants. This is not only an amazing restaurant but one of the the best in Basalt, not only does it have a warm atmosphere but the service is top teir . You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the beer/wine list has some amazing selections. It may seem expensive, but you get large portions ,the food is made fresh to order , and is also very filling. This is one of my favorites, you can't go wrong .

I had breakfast on there on Christmas Eve and they ran the wrong check on my card for $150 and some change. Instead of reversing the charge, they gave $150.00 in cash, and then ran my card for my bill. I thought that was weird, but whatever. Then, of course, when the charge hit, they put a 20% tip on the wrongly charged bill, making the total $180.15. Thus, they screwed me out of $30.15. Mistakes happen and I get that. HOWEVER, after repeated attempts to get them to resolve this issue via email and phone calls, I’ve heard nothing. Enjoy your $30.15, you scumbags. I’m local and my job puts me in front of tourists and locals alike all day, everyday. All it takes is me convincing a couple of them to avoid your place and you’ll lose far more than that. Unbelievable.
