I have been teaching at The Dancing House for the past year and truly feel blessed to have found this studio! I love the atmosphere. I feel like I'm back to teaching about the love of dance through technique rather than teaching technique to achieve perfection in a performance piece. The owner, Melissa, is also great with setting expectations for instructors that are clear and attainable- I teach a few classes a week grouped together on one day, which makes it easy to fit into my schedule with my full-time job and my life at home as a parent. I hope to be an instructor here for many years to come! ❤️

The dancing house is an amazing studio! Melissa is so welcoming and her passion for dance is contagious! As an adult who danced through her childhood/college I had been looking to get back into it. Melissa provides amazing classes for experienced adult dancers which is hard to find.

Miss Melissa and TDH are incredible. She makes each child feel seen, heard, and special. She is teaching these young kiddos not only dance technique but valuable life lessons like how to be kind, how to listen, and how to be respectful. Dance on Demand with Melissa was well worth the purchase. There were many classes provided and Melissa was always there to assist. I tried it out because I have a young kiddo so leaving the house for a class in the evenings was not always possible. Her classes were such a great and comfortable first step to learning a new skill. I would recommend it!

We love The Dancing House!! Several years ago, my daughter and I were at the Hudson library and happened to stumble upon Miss Melissa’s music and movement class so we decided to give it a try. My daughter was two at the time and had a great experience! We immediately signed up for 2 Too Cute and never looked back. My daughter is now taking multiple classes per week during the school year plus the dance pass and camps in the summer and not to mention her go-to birthday party venue. Miss Melissa and all TDH instructors are amazing, patient and all around wonderful with the kids. All the instructors take the time to get to know the kids and my daughter has made some solid friendships along the way. We are so happy we found TDH.

We love The Dancing House, especially their common-sense COVID precautions. We've been so glad to have in-person classes, opportunities for parents to watch, Zoom options on days we can't attend in-person, etc. My 7-year-old is enrolled in the ballet/tap class and looks forward to her class every week. We have even had the chance to see a few "mini-recitals" to see progress and performance, which is so needed after last year's dance classes and recitals were all completely cancelled when she was enrolled at the Phipps. My 4-year-old attends the monthly Wiggles and Giggles with owner Melissa - what a blessing to have something for our little ones that is still in-person and normal during all the cancellations! We have also used the monthly drop-and-go date night. Our kids ages 3-9 had loads of fun with the sitters and kids, even though it was a late evening for them. They can't wait to go back!

We love the just-right small class sizes, the fun age-appropriate music, and the technical dance terms she is learning! It allows our daughter to feel comfortable, create a bond with her coach and we love watching her tell us & show us at home. She's having so much fun and gets so excited for Dancing House days with Miss Melissa! Melissa is engaging, kind and a fun teacher. We love The Dancing House!

My daughter had never taken a dance class before. When she was 14, she asked me if she could take ballet. She was starting from the beginning as a teenager, but Miss Melissa and The Dancing House didn't care about that. My daughter was fully welcomed and was met were she was. Even more than met -- she was loved for where she was. The Dancing House is a place where students are encouraged and treated positively. Miss Melissa helped my daughter build confidence and gain skills that transcend beyond dance. We love The Dancing House and Miss Melissa!

I have been working at The Dancing House as an assistant teacher for less than a year but I can already tell you how great of a place this is. The way they are structured sets them apart from all other dance studios because of how kind and welcoming they are. They aren't just concerned about how high your child can kick or if they're the best dancer but also how they are as a human. If they are kind compassionate empathetic and overall a great human. The Dancing House strives to have teachers that help the kids develop those skills and that creates such positive work environment. If you're considering signing your kid up for dance classes I would greatly recommend looking into The Dancing House!

We absolutely love Miss Melissa and The Dancing House!! Its definitely been a highlight of our week for over a year now. Love the day classes and flexibility. Karen the office help is amazing too, always responds in a timely manner if you have questions. My daughter is 4 and she is always beyond excited for dance every week.
