Nice clean place with lots of beautiful crystals, fossils, and some nice prehistoric animals in rock and insects, too. They have toys for kids 3 and up, science projects for kids 5-up. Even for big kids like me, they had everything. Hand-made jewelry, little samples of geo-rocks, etc.

Lots of cool stuff to wander around and look at. Kinda pricey, but they are very friendly and seem to welcome lookie loose 🤗👀👀.

Love all the little items to see and with all the different prices you can find some really unique gifts that you don't have to spend a tremendous amount on. Most items were about$5-10 with others in the hundreds and up.

We went to Prehistoric for the first time this weekend! We lived in Lincoln City for years and didn't spend a lot of time shopping, so this trip this the one store I couldn't wait to go to! I was NOT disappointed. The owners are so wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable! I'm obsessed with Dinosaurs and bones and was able to find this gorgeous Dino Bone carved Skull!! It is now my most favorite thing ever!!! We also did the sand buckets and had so much fun!!! Hands down, my favorite store on the Coast and we will be going back!!!

Great little local store. The staff we met while shooting were just the nicest people. It became a life moment my kids will remember forever when they were able to break open their own geodes. So much fun.

Place had a lot of cool historical items, also quite a bit at a decent price of you want to own a dinosaur fossil

There are some fascinating pieces in this store, ranging from fairly standard to rare and obscure. Prices range from reasonable to quite spendy for some of the more rare fossil pieces. My son wanted to try the "Crack Your Own Geode" offering, where one selects a small, egg-sized geode and observes as staff place it in a mechanism to break it up. His first geode cracked oddly into several pieces, so the owner graciously allowed him to choose a second one at no additional cost, which cracked perfectly in two. He got to keep both. Very clean store and friendly staff.

Really cool stuff to look at! They're very knowledgeable about their rocks, gems and much more. Great for kids with little bins of rocks too.

Fun place! They have an option for sifting for gold and opening a geode.

I would like to give this place more of a 3 and a half star but I can't. Very nice shop, clean, well put together. The displays were nice and mostly well labeled. Pricing was reasonable on most things and I did purchase a small fossil but the service was not great. They were nice but the seemingly 4 employees were too busy socializing to pay much attention. Had to get their attention and interrupt them twice to ask for assistance. Like I said, nice people but I shouldn't have to feel like I'm interrupting their social time to make a purchase. If it weren't for that I would give 4 stars.
