FOR THE LOVE OF GOD RESEARCH, BUY, and USE ONLY MINERAL BASED SUNSCREEN!!! ******* Now, the review you're looking for (4-hour, 2-stop snorkel of Lanai) Captain Chris and first mate Chloe showed us a hell of a day. Check-in is so easy (arrive early, though, so the boat can leave on-time). Free reef friendly sunscreen available at check-in. Boat is small and every seat is a front row seat. Due to the glorious, windless weather we lucked into, we were able to snorkel the west side of Lanai. The reef is gloriously alive and we saw two turtles. We got back in the boat to banana bread and fresh fruit. The second snorkel stop was around the south side of the island. Different reef structure, more variety of fish. Also saw turtles there. Came back in the boat and ate some Maui chips. Then we boated along the gorgeous coast looking for dolphins. We didn't see any, which was of course a bummer but honestly, not that much of one. This is my second time on Maui and I have been shore scuba diving and this by far the BEST experience I've had here. My husband even wants to come back for the 6-hour trip and he doesn't even love snorkeling!!!

We had the most amazing time on our Sunrise Whale-Watching tour! Our guides were so much fun and were able to find some great spots to pause and observe whales! This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I highly recommend this tour company and the sunrise time slot. I can't imagine a more wonderful way to start the day! I would do this again in a heartbeat!

We Booked two mornings before we arrived on Maui because of the multiple recommendations. While here, we booked another three!! Amazingly crazy good tours, informative and so respectful toward these majestic whales! Bravo!! Special shout out to Abby, who was such an amazingly gifted naturalist. We were Really impressed by the entire experience. If you have only one chance to experience a whale watch, make this your first choice!!

My friends and I did the watching & snorkelling package. Lily and Lacy were perfect hosts. They were very patient and attentive to everyone, learning our names and keeping an eye on how far from the boat we were. They provided delicious banana bread, fruits, cream cheese, cookies, and non-alcoholic beverages. They also provided all the necessary gear (fins, floaty noodles, floaty belts, snorkel, and mask). Wetsuits are also available for rent at $10 each. Even near the end of April we saw a few whales from a distance, lots of dolphins, and beautiful coral, fish, and turtles. Highly recommend

Great tour! Smaller boat and less people, making it more of a personal cozy experience. I’ve also done a tour with Pacific Whale. That was fun too but so much bigger and way more people. You had to fight to see stuff sometimes. But with this tour, everyone has a great seat and everyone can see perfectly! I loved it. Only 18 people on our boat. (Ask for the 18 seater boat instead of the 24 seater) We saw so many whales and baby whales breaching! What a fun time. I recommend booking the 4:30 pm time as the pics are gorgeous with the sunset in the background. Highly recommend this tour boat!!!

WOW! We went 2 days prior to the end of their whale watching season and still saw a multitude of whales including 2 different sets of mother whales and calves. Captain Amy had the magic touch! Both Captain Amy and Hannah were passionate and energetic, and shared their love of whales and sea life with everyone on board. We had one baby whale that surprised us and came up about 25 feet from the boat. Even snorkeled with sea turtles. What a thrill!

Emma and Hannah were fantastic. Super fun, high energy but still felt very professional and secure. The whole team is clearly in it for the love of marine life and love of pleasing people. They knew right where to go not only to see the most whales, but get the best views and great variety. Gave my kids the most exciting day of their lives. Would recommend to all and this tour alone makes me want to come back next year to do again.

Despite going in early April when most other whale watching groups stop booking tours we still managed to see a few with Ultimate Whale Watch. Our captain and naturalist were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about our tour with Ultimate Whale Watch! We went on 4/1 and I was worried we’d missed the busy whale season. But thankfully that wasn’t the case! We saw multiple mom & baby whales, some with males in pursuit! Our captains were so knowledgeable. You could tell they really love what they do when you saw their excitement in seeing the whales in action. It was a truly unforgettable experience. We enjoyed the smaller raft type boat and felt we always had a great view of the whales.

This is a MUST do in Maui! This was such an amazing opportunity and experience! We were able to see multiple different groups of whales including a group with up to 15 whales and a baby whale learning how to jump out of the water! The boat was very nice with cushioned seats and a shaded roof. The Captain of the boat was very nice and did an amazing job with getting us up close to where the whales were at. The captain’s assistant was very knowledgeable about the Whales and answering our questions about them. They made the adventure fun!

Fabulous trip!!! Emma and Sarah were professional, knowledgeable, fun and made the trip amazing! We went to 2 snorkel sites and saw parrot fish, turtles, reef sharks and even spotted some dolphins along the way. The banana bread snack was delicious! Recommend this 10/10!!

Phenomenal experience! Emma, our captain and guide, along with Chris were fantastic hosts. We were surrounded by a pod of 10 - 12 whales. 1 female & the rest were males vying for her attention. They seemed to be curious about our boat as several were very close & a few swam under our boat! Just a great time. Thank you!

Amazing ! Breath taking! A bucket list dream ! We went in early March, it was warm but when we were traveling to and from the destinations for viewing the, Great wonders of whales, that water splashing from the speed we were traveling was chilly ! Be sure to wear some type of pant and a lightweight jacket. We saw whales casually swimming with their calves , jumping out of the ocean, splashing their tales continuously a top of the water. We probably had 8 to 10 sightings while on the boat. A memory I hope to never forget !

The whale watching 2 hours tour with just 12 people is great! You have to choose this company. Not only our Guides, Abby and Lacey, were great but also the raft is low enough to bring the Gopro into the water and get under water shots from the whales. Today it was fantastic, we saw a group of about 8 whales and dolphines too. So much fun, just priceless.

Great guides and smooth ride! Knowledgeable, courteous, and personable service. We went on the VIP tour. I loved the low, speedy raft-style boat we were on. We went mid March and saw lots of humpback whale action. I highly recommend Ultimate Whale Watch for in season whales watching and year round water adventures! 🐳💙

Awesome experience! We saw 3 whales, an entire pod of spinner dolphins and lots of turtles, fish and coral. Amazing experience and the two-captain crew did a great job. We’ve been on bigger boat snorkel trips before but not been able to see all of that. Plus, with fewer people, you wait less to get on and off. Definitely the way to go. We went in late November 2022. Pictures are of this very trip!

Absolute best snorkel trip I’ve ever been on!! We saw hundreds of dolphins and fish, and the coral was so cool. We also swam with so many sea turtles! Emma and Shannon were AWESOME!! They were so kind and knowledgeable and made us feel so safe. They made the trip so much fun, and we’d go back tomorrow if we could! 15/10 recommend!! Also Emma plays some great music on the boat, you’ll definitely be jamming!

What a wonderful experience with Emma and Sarah! They made our snorkeling adventure extra fun! They took us to two wonderful spots where we were able to encounter over 150 dolphins and tons of beautiful sea turtles! Also, their knowledge on each animal and its habitat was impressive. My husband and I highly recommend this tour! Make sure to ask for Emma and Sarah! Thank you so much for the wonderful time and great memories.

Saw so many whales in early March. A couple of close encounters. Saw several whale breaches (but wasn't fast enough to get it on camera). During a quiet moment when we were near a pod and away from other boats they dropped microphones into the water and I was surprised to hear so much communication. Abby and Amy did an amazing job finding the whales and they were full of interesting facts, anecdotes, and jokes. Would highly recommend this tour.

Ultimate isn't an over statement! Did the Snorkel and Whale Watching tour and saw whales within minutes of departure. The Snorkel location was beautiful and Dave (Captain) and Hannah (Naturist) made it a great experience! I do recommend a wetsuit top as the water can be a bit cold.

This is the BEST whale watch experience! Pat and Amy were both amazing and allowed us to have great memories. They are family owned and the rubber boats offer a fantastic view from any of the seats! We were able to view multiple whales and cover a large area, these were just a couple of photos we were able to capture. THANK YOU!
