Joey’s is a nice restaurant & bar with nice decor. The food and drinks were good. We tried the dumplings, hibachi wings, and the steak and sushi. Unfortunately, both the dumplings and the steak had to be sent back to the kitchen for reheating. I had a nice watermelon drink. I do wish our waitress would have been a bit more attentive. The manager came over to talk with us about our food temperature issue. I appreciated that concern.

The first time I went to Joey's with a friend I had a decent experience. So when my niece and her friend came to visit from NYC I wanted to show them a good time and I went to Joey's again. The experience was horrendous. Our waitress Desiree failed to take our drink order for the first 20-30 minutes that we were there. Then we ordered 2 steaks, and a poke bowl and truffle fries. The fries and the first steak that came out was cold and the asparagus tasted like cold frozen veggies. So we waited for about another hour for them to bring out lukewarm fries that I saw sitting in the kitchen for 15 minutes before they brought them out. The steak they brought out next was overcooked (I ordered medium well but it was well done), and the asparagus were still not hot. The manager Sheldon came out and offered us donuts. He said he took the fries off. The waitress Desiree said he took the fries and a steak off. Well to our surprise they ran the steak 3 full times and said we took the steak off so essentially we paid for the two steaks which was what we initially ordered in the first place and they acted as if they did us a favor. Also Sheldon only offered us donuts for this whole mishap rather than trying to comp anything we already purchased. My niece checked in with him to clarify what happened and he said well we sent 3 steaks to the kitchen so we did take one off. His logic was asinine, because he sent two fries to the kitchen but only put one on our bill and took one off our bill so it balanced out which is what we thought he would do with the steaks but he failed to do so. I think he underestimated that three black women could actually have brains. I will escalate this matter and see if there's any real attempt at a resolve.

Pretty busy for the most part with a great bar. Customer service/bartenders are great and the crowd is a little upscale. Their drinks are great & their “Old Fashion” is excellent. & my friend had their chicken sandwich. He said it was high quality. Looking forward to a meal in the future. I recommend the guacamole corn & chips and the Korean Fried Cauliflower is my new favorite. Update: I tried the Lobster ravioli with the garlic bread, 7 oz steak medium rare and it was the best dish I’ve had there so far. Update: their protein wrap burger is delicious, I added a salad instead of fries Update : Seared salmon sushi is phenomenal, just wish they had Sweet Eel sauce. Update : the Cobb salad is excellent and sushi wrap too! Highly recommend both.

We stopped in for lunch on Thursday and were seated right away. Happy hour starts at 3 so we happened to catch that. We ordered the two sushi rolls, Seared Salmon Sushi and Tuna Avocado Roll. I could have eaten the seared salmon twice it was delicious. It’s definitely a more expensive option downtown but our experience was good and it was only about $125 for 4 people (plus some beers). I’d go back!

Nice spot in DTLA perfect for brunch or lunch the atmosphere was relaxing but a little bit loud (downtown honks) the staff was very attentive and friendly. I only waited for about 5min during busy hours. The drinks and the food were amazing 5 stars worth it I tried the ceviche for my appetizer and it was fresh, sweet and with a touch of spicy for my entree I had the sushi and steak and for my drink water melon margarita perfect for the weather. I really recommend this place for a nice lunch with family and friends or just to enjoy DTLA for the day. Definitely going back again. Reservation are not required but are recommended is next to a mall so you can wait and shop or shop and eat.

Walked in on a whim and wasn't disappointed. Service was great and food was delicious. It was a big enough portion to fill me. The appetizers were delightfully shareable.

We had a great experience at Joey DTLA. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. They sat us as soon as we checked in. Our server Kenny was terrific! He was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were amazing!

Aloha! Wow what a place to eat and drink. I felt very safe to eat here during the pandemic. Everything we ate were delicious. The steaks were amazingly cooked the right way. Our raviolis were all done and prepared well. The deserts were tasty and sweet. The drinks were all great. Service was awesome. Bathrooms clean. It’s in downtown so there’s very loud noises around and some people creating distractions. Anyways, great spot to enjoy with family and friends. Plus they have a good selection for kids to eat, 🤙🏼

A lovely restaurant with a high class feel in downtown LA. We turned up without a reservation and they were able to seat us for a lunch time booking within 10 minutes. We were given a glass of sparkling wine when we were seated, and the service continued to be excellent throughout. Considering the price in restaurants we've experienced elsewhere in LA, the prices here, whilst a little pricey, were very much justified and we'd happily pay them again. I ordered a sirloin steak and it was superior to fillets I've had in other places. The accompanying take on mash potato (almost a spring roll with a mash filling) was also sublime. The only downside was there was cheese in both of our meals which was not listed on the menu. This was not an issue for me but my partner does not like cheese so did spoil the dish a bit but the rest was still lovely.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner in Los Angeles recently. The food was a 10/10. I love that they have chopstick at the table so of four we I had to order the Gyoza (Japanese dumplings) to start. For entrees I had the herb roasted salmon with truffle burre blanc, (chefs kiss) and he had the roasted chicken. Both dishes were amazing! The server made our dinner even more enjoyable! She was very nice and outgoing. I was unsure about a drink to order so she recommended and Side Car which was amazing! Will definitely be returning on our next trip out!

Loved this restaurant overall. I went for a lunch with a colleague. It’s downtown so pretty accessible from most buildings. I’m unsure about parking but with a reservation during lunch rush it was pretty quick to be seated. The food was solid but did take a while to get so be sure to come with time

Very nice setting, very good food, and prompt and courteous service. It is very clean, modern and well lit. Lots of windows throughout so that you could see the shopping center and the street. It may seem a little pricey but not for the area or the quality of food. I met several coworkers and a prospective client there for lunch on a Monday. I am told it can be hard to get a seat there and I did not make the reservation but when we arrived around 11:30am, it did not seem that crowded. However by the time we left all tables were taken. Right away we were able to order drinks and appetizers and our meal. The drinks and appetizers can almost immediately, and our main dishes came right afterwards. Everything that was ordered was excellent and cook per order. The staff was all very friendly and efficient, so we were able to finish within an hour but never felt rushed like they were trying to turn the table over. Even though this isn’t the greatest area of DTLA I felt perfectly safe going in and out of the restaurant. The best of what I ate was the Szechwan Chicken Wrap Starter, which was delicious!

I wasn't very hungry but needed to eat something. I passed by this restaurant on my way to Nordstrom Rack and it look like it had a great vibe. The service was nice and I loved they have small plates. The 5oz filet and lobster ravioli was the perfect portion for a late dinner. Would come back again if I am in LA.

Great place for a fine meal and drinks. The atmosphere is always upbeat with great music. There are always attractive people there enjoying themselves. This time I had the Mediterranean bowl and it was amazing. Fresh, healthy and really tasty.

I heard about this place before and reviews were pretty decent. We needed a place to go for drinks and eats that wasn't too far away from the Natural History Museum. Driving in LA can be challenging if you're not used to one way streets and parking structures. Luckily traffic was light and we found everything easily. We went up a spiral driveway - just like the parking game app on your phone - that went on seemingly forever. Then ride the elevator back down to the street level where the restaurant is located. We sat at the bar and had a great server. She was really friendly and gave us great drink 🍸 suggestions. We ordered a Mezcal Drink and a Mezcal Margarita 🍹 then we got the gyoza and spicy cauliflower appetizers. Yum! 😋 Really enjoyed everything! Later or server recommended a nice smooth Cab that I will now be looking for when I shop for wines! 🍷 We ended the meal with the Creme Brulee Cheesecake - another great suggestion from our server! If you're in Downtown LA, stop by Joey. They'll treat you right!

We had great experience there. The place is professional with great decorations and services. Our waitress was really friendly. We got the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps to share and it was delicious. For the main course we got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Hand-Pressed Burger those were amazing. Also we tried Fish Taco and that was great too.

The three of us went to lunch at 3pm, and sat down near the bar area today, which turned out to be one the hottest days this summer. The service was amazing. The server was very knowledgeable, the atmosphere was chill and very LA atmosphere. We loved the food. We ordered chicken salad, cheese burger, and chicken burger with drinks. We loved the meal and everything. I would certainly go back here.

A few weeks ago we booked a reservation for 6 and our night finally came. We were excited to check out the DTLA location and we weren't disappointed. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the ambiance. The crowd was vibrant and the music had everyone either singing along or bopping back and forth. We sat at a booth on the far end of the restaurant near the bar and immediately scanned the drink and appetizer menu. We settled on some mixed drinks including an old fashioned, and a few delicious appetizers like the Korean Cauliflower (2 orders because we had a good feeling), sushi hand rolls, and hummus plate. Our first wave of orders arrived piping hot within 10-15 minutes and did not disappoint. The cauliflower was crispy and fluffy, the flavor sweet yet spicy and savory. The hand rolls were fresh and full of texture and the hummus was a great addition to the table of 6. At this point we decided on our entrees and ordered away. From the Spaghetti Pomodoro to the Filet Mignon (not pictured) to the pressed burger with cheddar and bacon and Butter Chicken, we had a nice around the world of flavors that were absolutely delicious. The Mediterranean bowl was also a favorite amongst the table. At some point during our meal the server popped by less and less which would be our only complaint if we had one. Parking in the structure was a breeze. We returned the next day because we left our umbrella at the table and fortunately someone had placed it in the lost and found. All in all we look forward to our next visit!

I brought a client here lunch here earlier this week, it was as the perfect spot for a business meeting. It was busier than I expected. Thankfully the wait was only 5 minutes or so. The food was great - we had the Korean Cauliflower Wings as an appetizer. I wish I would’ve gotten a picture of it, but we devoured it. It was TOO good. For my meal, I had the salmon which was also good. I would return next time I’m in LA.

Came here for a birthday dinner with family and friends. I ordered steak frites and I chose the filet mignon medium well, it was way too salty; my fries got cold fast and the asparagus was too oily. The arugula salad, was paired with a delicious dressing. My boyfriend’s dish was steak with a lobster tail paired with mashed potatoes. You would think they would give him a bigger portion size of a lobster tail since the plate is already $89 dollars but no, it was a very small portion size lobster tail. (The mashed potatoes were excellent) The appetizers were actually better than the dishes I had. I ordered hibachi wings and gyozas. Our waitress was super sweet! It’s very difficult to find any parking so just park inside a paid parking garage. But make sure to park inside Joey dtla parking garage structure because they do not validate for the one right near the corner! Oh! the cocktail drinks were excellent!

My reservation was for 10:45pm and as I arrived it was surprisingly busy with many people waiting at the reception desk. The hostess quickly greeted me and immediately sat me. The place has a cool classy nightclub/restaurant vibe. The bar is separated from the restaurant area and was very lively. Jack, my server came over right away and took my order – a Kettle One martini with three blue cheese olives and San Pellegrino to start. Whenever a place has blue cheese olives, I always go with a martini to start! I ordered the Japanese Gyoza to start my meal. They were presented on a long plate drizzled with the most delicious Asian sauce – really tasty. For dinner I went with the herb crusted salmon in a truffle beurre Blanc sauce surrounded by asparagus and snap peas. It was a beautiful presentation, but the disk lacked a distinct truffle flavor that I was looking for and love. I wanted a sambuca liquor for dessert but was told they don’t stock it, which seemed surprising for the size of the bar. Although the main dish was slightly flat, overall, I would come back again and try some of their other amazing sounding choices. I’m going to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt and rate it 5 stars, since I would rate it at a 4.6 if I was allowed to be that granular.

My cajun blackened chicken was phenomenal. I loved it! It was juicy, hot, and flavorful. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the warm potato salad. The fried cauliflower was also delicious. I was extremely surprised at the lack of a "standard" salad. No Ceasar Salad or ordinary salad. The house salad was a little eccentric. It was good but would have preferred something basic. The butter cake was a show stopper. Hot with melting ice cream. We decided to share with the table and were fighting over the last bite! Our food came out quick and hot. There was a little bit of confusion with our servers. We were checked on frequently and then our server disappeared. And we had to ask a few times about the dessert not showing up. That was minor! Food and drinks totally made up for all that.

Wow..what a choice. We were a walk in, although they do recommend a reservation in advance but not mandatory to sit and eat. Might be a small wait period but not bad at all. The servers were great, complimentary champagne while you wait to be seated! Yay! I had a NY strip that was seasoned to perfection and tried the fried cauliflower! Definitely recommend it! We also had some appetizers that had no chance once it was served to our table! Great atmosphere, music playing while dining, the view from the table of the LA culture was a plus! We will be back for sure!

Parking - here can be a headache but Laz parking lot nearby it’s a cheap option Service - was decent when entering the Joeys you’re greeted with champagne 🍾 The part that was disturbing was the lack of attention throughout the night esp filling up our drinks and water. Food - was mediocre tried the katsu salad which was filled more with julienne vegetables than arugula. I expect to see more greens 🥬 on salad but unfortunately this wasn’t it. Baja fish tacos were also a flop and not enough meat + too much batter. Overall, a poor spend of a $50+ meal. Ambience - always solid since it faces 7th street and Hope street. The bathrooms might need work in terms of cleanliness. 🧽

Great vibe here with a good mix of people! The crew is very very nice from the hostess to our wonderful server! For drinks, the passion fruit margarita was the bomb! We ordered the hummus and pita as well as the chicken wings and they were really good and we had good portions! Then we had steak and crab cake and tacos. I had the steak and it was good. Good food good service and good vibe! It’s a great LA scene!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Joey DTLA. The food was exceptional, especially the generous portion of pasta with chicken. While I loved the atmosphere and excellent service at the bar, I suggest offering smaller portions of the pasta at a slightly reduced price for more flexibility. Looking forward to returning!

I have been to Joey’s twice and have had nothing but a great experience. The service is the best, the food is super tasty and you can’t go wrong with their Happy Hour menu. My new favorite is their shrimp lettuce wraps.

Visited with my sister and cousin, once we walked in they gave us complementary champagne loved it was a vibe. We sat at the tall table very busy place, our service kinda forgot about us for a moment and the tickets were mixed up but still not a big deal. I ordered the salmon with mashed potato and omg it was perfect I left with a happy face. My drink was amazing too. Hands down a very beautiful place try it out !!!

We walked in around 10p with no reservation, and only had to wait 5 mins for a table. The hostess and server were incredibly polite and made our dining experience awesome! The whole vibe of the restaurant, from decor to music choice was upbeat, classy, and fun. We were seated on the patio and enjoyed the walkers-by and view of all the gorgeous buildings around us. My FAVE thing about this restaurant is the menu. They cater to those who are vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, and traditional diets. We will absolutely be back!

Good service and nice bar if you want to catch sports. Happy hour menu is ok but deals aren't amazing. The passion fruit spicy margarita was good but on the sweet side. Old Fashioned was average. The gyoza and cauliflower are great appetizer options.

Joey’s DTLA is a beautiful, upscale restauarant with amazing ambience, vibe, energy, and aesthetic in downtown. Parking may take a while to find though, but on Sundays there is free parking around the blocks nearby on the street. The seating experience was definitely a five star experience, it’s a great place to hangout or go on a date or just celebrate an event. You definitely would need the time to sit down and lounge if you were to come here; it’s not a quick lunch grab n go situation. The service was a bit slow, it could be because they had a busy Sunday. The food was really good, I got the katsu chicken salad with the dressing on the side and and was impressed by how it turned out. It is definitely a pricey restauarant, so have a budget when you come. the salad was $28 in total plus tax and tip. the portion size wasn’t huge but it was the right amount to make you the perfect amount of fullness. My friends had burgers and they enjoyed it as well with the fries. Again with theirs, the portions weren’t huge. I’d say the slow service and slow check attributed to the four stars. Everything else was great and I’d be interested in coming back to check out the rest of the menu.

shout out lina my server for actually knowing the dishes. made some great discoveries here for my first time every thing we chose was fire 🔥. I chose wings to start, steak and ravioli, and a steak with crispy potatoes and salad. the apple pie for desert...amazing, flavorful. returning for more.

If I lived downtown I would always be there. The food, the vibe, the servers and service, it was so worth the wait (that ended up being shorter than anticipated) we sat by the bar in the big comfy booths while the game was on and the flavor and attention to detail with presentation was top tier. Even my mocktail was amazing. Love that they stay open late though I didn’t go late but in case I want to, I love that I have that option. 10/10 would recommend! For two people we spent around $130 before tip but honestly that felt inexpensive to me and certain things are definitely shareable depending on how much you eat. Really really good!

I am visiting Los Angels. The salmon was cooked perfectly! The mashed potatoes were a little too salty for my taste. Our entrees were served without utensils and had to wait for them. Tess set us right away and Marcus was the waiter. Marcus was attentive. I wasn’t impressed enough to return.

Joey DTLA is great. They have an extensive menu that spans different genres. If you want sushi, they have sushi. If you want Italian, they have that too...steak? Go for it. The downtown Los Angeles location has a great patio and excellent service. Their food is well made and their drinks are good. It’s a lively location that can get busy so make sure to make reservations. A few of my favorite dishes are the tempura cone, chicken Parmesan and their steak and sushi. For dessert, get their donuts. It’s excellent.

I've been wanting to come here for a while and I was not disappointed. The service was wonderful. Emily was a great waitress! The food was delicious and I love the ambiance of the place. Parking sucks. Valet would be so nice. Music could be slightly updated as well for the happy hour crowd at least. Otherwise, love love love! Will definitely be a summertime weekend happy hour spot!

We had tickets for the opening nite at the Opera. We found JOEY DTLA on Google Map. It has high ratings. So we gave it a try. We found the wait staff and food to be excellent! Our waitress was the nicest person.. JOEY DTLA know how to cook fish! And really. Everything we ordered was excellent. I would recommend JOEY DTLA for any event in Downtown Los Angeles.
