Beautiful any time of the year but spectacular in autumn’s splendor of Aspen gold, this is a visual treat not to be missed. The chapel is small but mighty in spiritual history. Further back the road is a delightful coffee shop to add to your traveling experience.

A beautiful church along the rockies. The architecture is wonderful and the mountain view are spectacular. Definitely worth the stop.

A very peaceful oasis in the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park. 14 pews, a small balcony, and a Catholic altar. It’s rustic stone inside and out. There’s prayer service on Fridays. Bonus - The adjacent coffeehouse has the best Mocha I’ve ever had. Real dark chocolate melted into the latte. So good!

Beautiful rock-made chapel among the mountains, it adjuncts a statue of Jesus on the nearby rock overlooking the chapel. The story about the chapel is very interesting. A coffee and gift shop are nearby. A serene, tranquil and spiritual place to visit and say your prayers.

I have it a good score, but did not actually get to see the inside as they were roofing it the day that we stopped. They were dropping the old roofing to the ground around it, which rendered it inaccessible for safety reasons. Beautiful place. Will eventually get back to it and he's actually get inside in the future.

We didn't get to tour or anything because they didn't open until 10am and we had been up since 5 am and were getting hungry so all we got to do was snap a few road side photos and be on our way. It was still a fun little side trip maybe we can come back to revisit some day

A gracious host filled us in on details about the chapel when we had questions, and the silent beauty of the chapel inspired much gratitude. Drive in further to see the creek.

Drive through the peak to peak scenic byway and enjoy the Estes Park Riverwalk. When returning south (Boulder/Denver/Aurora), visit the Chapel on the Rocks also called Saint Catherine's Chapel. This 10 mile drive from Estes Park Riverwalk takes you through one of the most scenic routes. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of this place, grab a coffee, and continue on to your destination! Worth a short visit just for the route and amazing drive.

A MUST stop any time of year along the Peak to Peak Hwy. The coffee house and gift shop is a true "best kept secret" and worth setting aside at least 30min to an hour for in itself. The chapel and surrounding area is one of my favorite places to take photos during the fall colors but also in the winter. = )
