A hidden gem that I’m so glad I found! Amazing food service and a cute little place to go for a birthday! Wanted to try something new for my moms birthday and stumbled on this through an IG post. The images don’t do the food justice! They have a small menu that changes and then some other items in the board when getting there. We ordered the Caprese salad, house made focaccia and then the wedge salad. OMG the focaccia was so light and the roasted garlic in olive oil to dip we couldn’t get enough and it was just the bread! Then the wedge salad had pork belly on and and blue cheese and an egg with a super light dressing so we didn’t feel full but I want to leaned how to make that. To me it remainder me if breakfast with the pork belly and egg and now I can’t get enough. The caprese was light and always a great salad to get when I go out one of my favorites. The cocktails were spot on! My father got an espresso martini which I wanted to steal from him so light and tasted just like espresso woke him right up. I got an aperol spritz which I love! Super helpful with explaining cocktails and how the menus works because it all looked so good I was overwhelmed. The BEST STEAK OF MY LIFE! I didn’t know what I was missing out on I had the Australian ribeye which I was told was fatty juicey kind of steak. I love the fat on a steak but it tasted like butter cut so easily and the sauce they had with it I could have bathed in LOL. My mom got the prime rib which she loved with chanterelle mushrooms (which I kept taking hahaha) and duck fat potatoes which now I have to learn how to make those. The mushroom risotto is what my father got and I could have stolen that from him hahaha. Creamy luxurious but not heavy which I was surprised this whole meal was filling but not heavy. Loved Jilliand who came over and chatted and gave us the history of the place. So cool her and her fiancé work together and enjoy what they do so excited to see more from them. Her energy was amazing so kind and helpful. I want to go back right now! So grateful for the experience ❤️

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Greeted as if we were old friends, we were welcomed in and given the option to sit at the bar or table. We opted for bar, which is where we met Sam! She was brilliant with her suggestions and pours. I had an Aperol Spritz, but she said “I need to try her Old Fashioned next time”. Say less! We started with the focaccia bread which cannot be missed! And for our mains, we ordered the Pork and my husband got the lobster/scallop/shrimp dish. It was U N R E A L. The pork was perfectly done and flavor exceed expectations.

Best night out I’ve had in a long time! Everything we ate and drank was unique and delicious. The staff goes above and beyond - super friendly. Overall magical experience. The cheesecake was pure heaven. The baked oysters and pork chop were perfect. Don’t skip on bread service!

We have dined at Jillian’s (formerly Call for Catering) to celebrate a birthday, to be spoiled at their wine dinners, and for a week night date night. Each time the food was incredible! The menu is seasonal and rotates frequently. If you follow their Instagram they highlight what’s on the menu for the week and share stories about where they source their ingredients. Don’t miss the steak. If you’re a steak lover they have the highest quality beef and a large selection to pick from. Our last dinner was an Australian ribeye that, hands down, was one of the most tender and juicy that we’ve ever had. Even though I’ve only been three times, I already feel like family. Jillian is there with a warm greeting and friendly service. (Photos from the April ‘23 Wine Dinner)

My family and I have gone to Jillian’s countless times and the overall experience is immaculate. The employees always have a smile and give great service. The food is always high quality and cooked to perfection. The menu has something for everyone and the drinks are great as well. Jillian’s is by far the best restaurant in the New Kensington area and I would say it’s even the best in the Pittsburgh area as well!

The food here is probably the best restaurant I have eaten at locally in my adult life. Chef Phill's work transcends expectations. What ever you order it will be the best. Even the bread is to die for. The lemonade you ask? Freshly squeezed by hand made by the glass. Ever updating menu, seasonal local delicacies severed up as a bunny of delight. New Kensington is a much better place for having your quality of dining. Thank you.

My husband and I had a date night recently and went to Jillian’s. Our Old Fashion was the best we ever had. Along with the drinks, we had bread service, which was warm bread that came with garlic, oil dip. My husband is not a big bead person and he ate majority of it because of his amazing it was. He had a steak, which melted in his mouth and I had fish! Our overall experience was great! We went back for happy our the following week!

If you would like a major metropolitan dinning experience in a small town almost a half an hour away from anything metropolitan, Treat yourself to Jillian's. Without looking at the specials the menu jumps out at you. The locally sourced entrees are out of this world. The appetizers are a wonder to not be denied, cocktails by Christa and amazingly mastered and constructed. The staff is warm and delightful and take pride in their work. I drove 7 hours just to see a show in the area, searched google, and will never forget the experience.
