Interesting pub with lots of decor and interesting things around to see. Imported beer was good. Four of us had different meals. General consensus was the food was average and the fries were just not good. Limp and oily. Overall, Nothing we would have to go back for to have again. The server was nice but very slow and never checked in until we called out to take the check.

The hostess was very sweet and sat us promptly at 7pm on a Monday night. Our server, Nash, made our experience here 10 stars! We loved the atmosphere, the service, the food, and the drinks! I had the pear martini and it was the best I have had! My husband had the beef tips which he loved, and I had the chicken pot pie and it was so delicious and filling. Sorry, no photos of the food....we couldn't wait to dig in!! The kitchen looked very clean and I felt the entire restaurant was well cared for! Ample parking is available.

The inside atmosphere to me is that of a rustic cigar bar. The seating outdoors, on a nice day, is perfect and is private from traffic. I agree that it depends on what dish you choose if your palette may like it or not. If you love tender corned beef, I recommend you give the reuben spring rolls a try., these are my favorite! I could get these as my meal! I was disappointed to see these are not offered on the lunch menu, the kitchen did make them for us because it was just about time for the dinner menu to start! Charcuterie was a good option for our occasion. I have tried the fish n chips on another visit and sadly they were on the greasy side.

Went to the Sly Fox Pub to grab a cider with my girl. She got the Flat Rock BlackBerry and I tried the Noble lime and hibiscus cider. Both were amazing. Also tried the broccoli and cheddar soup. Which was amazing. The food came out fast and the service at the bar was amazing.

Very average. This restaurant had a lot of hype, and we were looking forward to trying it. I had the house salad and chicken pot pie. My wife had the mac n cheese with poblano and "bacon" and the salmon. The house salad came with a chilled hard boil egg. Wasn't a fan but tried it, it was okay. The ranch was different to say the least. The pot pie only had breading on the top and by the end felt like a soup rather than a creamy pie that it should be. The mac n cheese was very very greasy. And the bacon is nothing like American bacon so beware. My wife didn't like the salmon much at all, and hardly are half of the mac n cheese. For the price and hype, I'd say you might not be missing much if you skipped this restaurant. But again, it is a different option for an area with limited options.

A Great British Pub in Southern Pines - staff was a bit quirky , but very nice - good selection of British Draught beers - very nice to see an English Breakfast on the weekend brunch menu- very nice atmosphere, seating both inside and out - well worth a visit- yummy food , with Kids selections available for young children.

Pretty good. Apparently the “no name beef tips” are very popular but we found them to be tough and overcooked. Shepherds pie was good. Salmon salad was very good. Wish our server had told us about the specials. Sea Bass on cabbage.

Been going here for 8 years, never bad service and always great food. Unfortunately, last visit 23 September 2023, my wife and I were seated and after 10-15 minutes never greeted by waitstaff, and watched 2 tables receive service next to us with 1 table that was seated well after us. Asked waitress about our table and she replied very rudely "I'm not a hostess so I don't know who your server is, but I will ask". The waitress returned a few moments later and replied that the hostess never assigned waitstaff to our table and someone would be along shortly....so we left and went to another establishment, sadly that will be the last time we ever return, no appetite for rude behavior.

Staff: When we got there, the parking lot was packed. When we went in, we were seated right away by a self-admitted new waitress. She was polite. The first round of drinks came out and our food followed fast. But that’s when it went down hill. Our waitress had a big party and our table of 4 was an afterthought. I didn’t get a refill on my water until after my food was finished. The bartender made one drink wrong the first time then when a buddy ordered the second drink it came out different. Obviously he wanted the same as the first one. When she finally came by and we asked for a second round, it took forever to get. Then we wanted to order an appetizer that every other table was getting as a desert, but because it was taking so long, we just cashed out, not staying for the extra food and more rounds. Building:The seating layout works. Fits plenty of people, is is spacious and very well taken care of. The bathrooms are clean. Food: the food. 5 star. I had the Buttered chicken which was recommended. If you go there, try this! One of the other meals ordered was a Shepard’s pie, which was a well received. The other meal that was ordered was the chicken pot pie. Dude didn’t breath while eating it and was licking the bowl when it was finished. He highly recommends. Parking: plenty of parking, but on a Friday night, very few spots available. Star rating: 3 because of three reasons. One the bartender made the wrong drinks, though they corrected the bill, he really wanted a second jalapeño margarita. Second was our waitress was clearly over worked. We could see her hustling so I am not sure if it’s a management issue or a short staffing issue. But, what ultimately saved this rating was the food and the atmosphere. Both make it a place where I’d return. Note: though we had service issues, I wouldn’t use this as a reason to to go here again. The food was top notch and I think with some adjusting of staff, our experience could exceed 5 stars. I have no problem coming back here every chance I get. Plus the container they give you the check in is hilarious! Picture below. If this review helped, please hit the thumbs up and give me a follow.

The Pub has great decor. The server was polite and attentive! You have got to try the Devils on Horseback. It is a unique combination of sweet and savory. I tried the Braised Beef Cheek for the entree. The meat practically chewed itself. It was delicious. They had several drinks to choose from, but you can’t beat the classic, Guinness, poured with a perfect head. We finished off with a Bread Pudding. A fine treat to end the marvelous meal! Thank you for the great food and night out with friends!

Loved this spot! It truly feels just like an old English pub. The atmosphere is so quaint and charming. I was honestly expecting bar food but it was quite the opposite. The offerings they had were impressive and absolutely delicious. They were still steeped in British tradition but kicked up a notch. On top of the great food, their service was on point!
