I loved this place! It is very cozy and it almost feel you are at home. They have a great variety of pastries and desserts with delicious coffee and espresso based drinks. I tried only desserts and a latte, but they also offer food. I will come back for sure to try their food since I was very impressed with the desserts.

Looking for a bakery and cafe close to home. Found Josef's and gave it a try. Easy to find. Nice looking mini-mall. Sunday afternoon about 1:00 pm, the cafe was busy but had a couple open tables. Menu printing was a bit small and was difficult to read without my glasses. Asked if they made a mocha valencia (chocolate and orange), but they don't. Ordered a mocha. After reviewing the menu, the crepes seemed like the great option, but I went for an old standby, the waffle. After discussing with the very pleasant server, settled on a kid's waffle with mixed fruit and whipped cream.

This bakery and cafe was sooo nice! The atmosphere was lovely. The bakery counters are so visually appealing and set a nice tone for the restaurant. The decor was subtle and relaxing, with added seasonal themes. The food and drinks were delicious!! Pictured are the Caffe Mocha, fresh squeezed orange juice, French toast combo, and black stone eggs Benedict. The baguette french toast was so different from any French toast I've had, but so good. Deep fried outside, soft, melt-in-your-mouth inside. We will be coming soon for dessert, as we had too many errands this warm day. I can't wait to come back!

Last year we bought a cake for my Mother in-laws birthday. She enjoyed it so much we ordered the same cake again. Unfortunately we didn't have the same result. The cake was dry and the cream filling tasted rancid.

Absolutely the best croissants I've ever had, flaky on the outside and melt in your mouth inside! Ate half of a hearty ham and cheese filled, before I could not withstand the temptation to switch to dessert!

We love this place so much. Bakery is amazing. Their pastries and cakes are amazing quality and the breakfast is delicious too. Best French toast, the best I’ve ever had! They make their bread even. A really nice cappuccino and very lovely staff.

I had Weiner schnitzel with potatoes and vegetables while my husband got Weiner schnitzel with spaetzl, and they were both good. The bread crumbs they used were not too heavy, and it tastes really really really good. Both I and my husband enjoyed our brunch. The spaetzl were cooked al dente. Our bebe, on the other hand had mixed vegetables, which he also liked and ate everything. We will come back again to try different dish!

The good news is that the food was very good we tried a scramble and a benedict. They were home made, tasty, and very satisfying. Portion sizes are large. The small pastry that they come with is really a small scone; it had good flavor but was deadly dry. The bad news. The service was awful. Yes, service everywhere is slow these days but this was just terrible. We had to ask five times to get some water. The server didn’t bring my English muffin and when I reminded her she looked annoyed. It took forever to get refills on our drinks. When you go out to eat you are not just buying food but an experience. This was a bad experience.

Had a very delicious chicken salad sandwich with grapes. Potato salad was the best I've ever had. I bought some Halloween cookies but they were so hard we couldn't eat them. But my grandchildren love the decorations on the cookies. My granddaughter she's 37 this is her favorite place to eat

Adorable little bakery. The croissants are amazing, all of them. So many macarons to pick from. The cakes are super good. I've never tried the hot food. I go to this place often though, it's worth it. Expect a line out the door on the weekends.

We came here on request of my sister in laws who frequently comes here. We were immediately impressed with the atmosphere. The bakery looked delicious and had so many options of treats. We were seated quickly, despite a pack house. The breakfast we ordered was great. Every one loved their coffee choices. We will make this a new spot to enjoy our weekend breakfast.

Has a home vibe and was very fast! They have a very good system or something because we sat ourselves and not even 5 minutes later they came and asked for our drink order. The food was delicious and I even picked up some treats for my dog in their bakery! The only thing though is that it is very dim lighting. I would love if they didn’t have the stickers all over the windows to get a view of those gorgeous mountains.

Their soups and sandwiches are terrific! My favorite is the Chicken Salad, with grapes. The prices are fair without being exorbitant, and you get a cookie with your meal, as a bonus. There is also a large selection of bakery goods, beautifully displayed, to tempt your taste buds.

So this was my first visit here, heard all about it many times & I've lived here all my life so in the area today figured I'd give it a try. The cashier seemed a bit judgemental as I looked around at displays of bakery area. I mentioned to her twice it was my first time in never been before but heard good things, she just smiled. I thought at that point she'd suggest something but nope nothing. I then asked if I could place order to go, she pulled out a menu & the sandwiches just didn't jump out at me reading the descriptions of something I must try, so I asked if they had just a simple house salad she replied yes, it comes with dinner roll and cookie. I said great I'll have that. Oh n a slice of German chocolate cake & Lemon Raspberry Creme. She rang upy ticket & although her energy wasn't that pleasant towards me I still left a tip. So I got home the salad was actually better than I thought by looks of it. Nothing fancy but it had a chic pea salad inside as well, and dressing in little cup. I opened added dressing and was shocked how amazing the taste of the dressing was and the salad overall was awesome, dinner roll fresh n soft. So slices of cake was treat fory husband and I after dinner. I was definitely disappointed the German chocolate didn't have that sweet pecan coconut taste and chocolate cake was bland, so we tried the Lemon Raspberry it had a better taste light not too much of lemony taste but the raspberry and lemon filling very thin, it needs to have more filling to mix with the frosting and cake it was dry matter fact both pieces tasted dry not fresh at all. I might give this place a 2nd try but not anytime soon am I eager to return and try pastries again.

The food and service are always amazing, I love this restaurant! The tables are first come first served, the staff always keeps everything clean and the service is fast. I recommend the chai latte and the breakfast burrito. The pastries and cakes are very good, be sure to try them!

Little gem in an unexpected strip mall. You walk into a little bakery shop filled with color, smells and variety. A little tight walking in at first but once you take a few steps into the restaurant, the area opens up comfortably again. The wait staff was friendly and quick. Food portions were on the healthy side. I had the chicken schnitzel which was one of the best. It was perfectly brown and crispy. We also had the French toast made woth French baguette which was new and tasty soft interior and texture was a good change of taste. Ice tea was really good a berry flavor.

Great bakery! I went for breakfast, and had a pile of fruit and some poachef eggs with spinach, and onions, served with toast soldiers. It was so great to taste real food, not from a package. The server was very polite, the baked egg dish was ok but i didn't care for the totally liquid cream the eggs were baked in. I bought pastries for home, and they were wonderful. Fresh european style bread, and lots of great looking cakes and cookies. Everything seems good quality. However, not viennese! I couldn't idebtify anything that one would find in a bakery in Austria. Look at my reviews from Vienna to compare. Nevertheless, a great bakery with many European reminders and good quality american baked goods. Highly recommended if you are in Reno.

Escaped the Casino to enjoy some food at this local spot. Josef’s delivered. Bakery on one side, Café on the other. Generous portions and healthy items on the menu. Look forward to visiting on my next layover in Reno.
