Everything we ordered was delicious! We had a 10 oz sirloin, a 12 oz ribeye, Parmesan tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and the sampler with fried pickles, steak avocado egg rolls, and cheese fries. The steaks were bomb! Super juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The appetizers were really good too! My least favorite thing was the fries- in all fairness, they are called “double-battered” fries, we just didn’t realize how “fried” they were 😅. The service was great and everyone was friendly. A great place to celebrate our anniversary! I definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you’ve never been here!

Good food at a pretty good price for a steakhouse. I was really impressed with the staff and ambience of the restaurant. Table bread and appetizers were the highlight of the meal. Definitely recommend getting the sampler, it’s enough food to feed two people in of itself. Their special sauce is absolutely delicious. Where the restaurant was lacking was the entrees. My girlfriends avocado burger was dry and cooked past well done and my steak was good but not great. I got the peppered garlic ribeye and it was way too peppery and not nearly salty or garlicky enough. It was cooked to perfection however. Definitely recommend the restaurant if you’re in the area.

Staff was fantastic, considering all that happened. Ordered a $35 steak here, and asked for it rare. My family's food all came out fantastic, but mine was well done and the cut was paper thin, even though the menu said it was a 16 oz cut. Everyone elses food was great, and I sent mine back, which was taken off the bill. Would definitely go back, but would never order that steak again. Positive experience overall, thanks to the wait staff, despite the kitchen staff.

What a great place to eat. Where do I start? First I guess the layout. Big booths, built for big guys, but also built for privacy. You don't feel like the people in the next booth are right on top of you, and that's really nice The service. Our server was a guy named Michael. Normally I don't like getting male servers, but this guy was really cool. He was cool to chat with, not too present but not too far, really a great service experience overall. And then the food. I got the porterhouse (it was my birthday) and my wife got the seafood linguine. We both loved it she also had the wedge salad, and I also had cheese fries. Everything was delicious. The waiter threw in a piece of chocolate cake as well, which we ate at home, again, delicious. Everything was priced very reasonably. In total we spent just over $100. Will definitely be back, and will definitely suggest to anyone. Really good food.

Talk about an AMAZING steakhouse. First of all, our server Sammy was the cutest thing ever! She took really good care of us and her recommendations for appetizers, wine, and our dinner was spot on! Our entire meal was cooked to perfection. You have to try the double fried baked potato. WOW!!!! THANKS FOR THE MOST ENJOYABLE EVENING 🤗

I really liked the garlic steak with the mushrooms and a salad with ranch dressing. Really good food. I went back a second night and they gave me a cold steak. Very disappointing.

I go here when I'm in reno for a conference at the pepper mill casino each year, the food is better here, I'm never disappointed, I do wish there was more side options. I got the amazing baby back ribs and jacked potato and sweet potato. Everything was great.

I got the avocado and steak egg rolls and they were amazing. The meat was very tender and had big chunks of avocado in it. It came with a cilantro dip that was a little too spicy for me, but our waitress, Devon (who was super attentive) was happy to bring me a side of ranch instead. My husband got the top serloin steak with the side salad. The salad was a good size with delicious ranch. It was pretty rare, but she took it back and when it came back out, was cooked just right. He felt like the steak was a little tough. They are very well staffed here. It has a really laid back vibe with lots of things to look at on the walls. The prices were reasonable, with one beer it was $50 total. We will definitely be back.

You may be able to find better steak out there at a high-end steakhouse, but you can't beat Ruby River for value and overall experience. $25 for most entrees and all entrees come with two good-sized sides. Friendly service as well.

We went here for my birthday. We both ordered prime rib with loaded baked potatoes. I also had the mushrooms while hubby ordered the parmesan tomatoes. We also shared an order of wings. It took a while for our server to finally come to our table, but she came prepared with a loaf of bread and waters. It was apparent that she was very busy, but she was still awesome! That bread though!!! 😋The wings were the best we've had in a while! The food was amazing with the exception of the prime rib. The steak wasn't bad, it just wasn't all that tender, and you expect prime rib to melt in your mouth. Next time we go, I'll order a ribeye. We were too full for dessert. My main complaint was when we walked in. There were two young ladies at the hostess stand when we got there. They were both talking to a young man (flirting?). They completely ignored us for about 2-3 minutes (didn't even look at us, let alone acknowledge our existence) until they finished their conversation then decided to seat us. The only reason we didn't turn around and walk out is because of how highly rated the restaurant is. Please instruct your hostesses to not ignore customers.

Staff is extremely friendly!! We were seated quickly and our server, Aubrey was fantastic! She brought our beverages quickly and explained specials. She also gave some popular suggestions from the menu. Our food was ready shortly and made to order. Very good food at reasonable prices.

Service excellent. Interior decorated in Western motif. Since this is the first time dining, I am giving Ruby River a break. The steaks were very flavorful but a lot on the tough side and the meat appeared to be a bit on the light side as far as weight. The sides were fantastic for the most part. The "jacketed baked potato" was something not expected, a deep fried baked potato. I would normally give a three star but the server shined to make it four stars. Good beef would have made it five Eight months later we returned. Beef was excellent. Ribs very good. Side salads excellent. Service excellent. I would like to up Ruby River to 5 stars. Returned again for anniversary. Pretty much the same. The proteins still are hit and miss. Tonight the steak was a little chewy and the chicken was like a hockey puck. However the ribs were fantastic.

Went here for my birthday over the weekend with 11 people after not eating all day. They were super accommodating for our parry and our server whose name escapes me right now was AMAZING. Truly appreciate her professionalism and courtesy. Highly recommend and will definitely going back when I go back to Reno.

Not too happy with the service we had. Just after 4pm with a party of 4. We asked for a table because the booths are small here. They said all tables are reserved ( even though there were only a few people In the restaurant throughout the whole time we were there). They sat us at a booth with a flip out extension, that made it uncomfortable sitting out in the isle. They then eventually found us a table to move to. The people next to us had a broken table that had to be exchanged. They forgot my sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes. They forgot the au jus for my friend's french dip sandwich. It was just all around bad for $50 per person dinner. Sorry Ruby River....this visit was a disappointment.

Amazing Rib Eye! I ordered the rib eye 12 oz and had to take it home. I ordered the garden salad and baked potato. Food was amazing. Fresh baked sour dough is served with butter to start your meal. Definitely will recommend it

An older, hole in the outdoor sign, kind of steakhouse, but worth the trip inside. Our waiter, Michael, ruled the roost that night, and even prepared separate checks for our group of 20! Thank-you! The sautéed mushrooms, and half rack of ribs, were delicious!!

Was recommended this place by a coworker. Got the Bone in New York with the Garlic Mash & broccoli. Everything was on point. Steak was glorious & cooked perfectly. The sides were quality and went well with the steak. Can't say enough about the staff, great interaction and recommendations. From out of town and I'll definitely be bringing back friends and making recommendations.

3rd visit here, everything was top notch but waiter forgot our desert request this time. Ordered the bacon burger, smothered chicken and steak, 9oz sirloin w mushrooms n caesar salad, New York strip steak w broccoli n mushrooms. Left full and everything tasted great.

The food and service was great! We've never had a bad experience here. Streaks are always cooked perfectly, sides are always hot and delicious. I tried the grilled shrimp for the first time on this visit and found my new favorite. Their ribs are the definition of "fall off the bone". If you're staying at the Peppermill, it's a short walk across the street for great food and great prices.

What a place! As a non-American, I loved the cowboy-like atmosphere! Together with nice service and enormous portions of food, it truly covered an average quality of steak. However the prices were not very high so maybe I should not expect more from the meat. Anyway, I recommend!

What a fun place for a date! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the western decor and atmosphere. The staff was wonderful and happy. The ONLY complaint was that the onion flower and the steak seemed very oily, though there was nothing wrong with the flavor. There is no smoking in this facility, which can be a problem in Nevada, and certainly in any casino restaurants. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Just be careful what to order, I ask medium done and get well done, my drink (Margarita ) was bad, is sad to expend money on quality that you do not expect. Texas Road House , way better and better price.

We had a great dinner here recently. Steaks were all cooked to perfection. The service was great as well! We were a party of 8 but all sat at the bar and everything was perfect! Highly recommended.

The food is amazing. I ordered the garlic peppered ribeye...ohhhh yumm. And the fried pickles, so good. Everyone in our group loved our food. Only complaint was our waiter. Not friendly, he had 1 word answers and looked like he didn't want 2 b there. It didn't take from our experience. Would go again

Porterhouse and Rib Eye steaks are fabulous! Cooked exactly how we requested. They offer raw horseradish here - yum! Recommend the Coconut shrimp with orange marmalade appetizers and drinks. We've always had a great experience when we've eaten at a Ruby River restaurant! Wedge salad, jacketed baked Potatoe or Yam (both are so good!

Got here late on a Sunday (flew in from east coast). Wanted the prime rib but they were out. Got a ribeye instead.

This place was AMAZING! Hands down best prime rib I’ve had in a while and the prices are reasonably cheap compared to other steakhouses in the area. Next time I’m in Reno I will definitely go back. Had a great experience and the server was great!

Friendly and fast service, our waiter was on top of everything. Our table appeared very clean along with the restaurant. The food itself was mediocre, I ordered the Avocado and Jalapeño burger (as pictured below), and it was pretty dry. My table also ordered a Ribeye steak, which was good, but very chewy and not seasoned as much as hoped.

First time there. Was helping a friend move, and another friend from California came to take us to dinner. The food was GREAT, as was the atmosphere and the staff. If I'm ever in the area again, I will DEFINITELY pay this place a visit! 🥰🥰🥰
