Wow! Certainly an unexpected and wonderful experience in this lovely little Pennsylvania coal town! Our location was at the historic Tamaqua Railroad Station where we we enjoyed a truly exceptional luncheon. The service was friendly and prompt even though the staff were preparing for an evening dinner concert on the platform. The menu offered wonderful selections. We enjoyed the French onion soup, the crab stuffed mushrooms and the salmon dinner entrees…all of which were excellent, hot and perfectly prepared. The mango cosmo cocktails were so refreshing & presented beautifully. We tried the desserts and all were delicious…enough to take home later for an evening treat. The Rail Station is located off route 81 and a quick 6 mile trip into the town of Tamaqua. If at all possible, make it your mission to discover this “hidden treasure”!

We hosted a birthday party at the Tamaqua Station Restaurant and it exceeded expectations in every way. The owner was so accommodating and easy to work with from start to finish. The food was great and atmosphere was lively. Highly recommend!

I brought my parents here for dinner last night because my dad loves trains and I always loved how this place looked. If you want great atmosphere, delicious food, and staff that treats you like family...this is the place to go! This is the first time we have been here since the new owners took over. The restaurant was impeccably clean and the food was great. The dishes were large which made it a good deal for the money. What really made this experience amazing was the staff. The owners came out to talk to us to make sure everything was to our liking and they were so nice. They gave us big hugs when we left. My 16 year old daughter can't wait to go back! You get what you pay for, and this place is worth every cent! We will be back many times.

First time dining here. Overall, very good. The restaurant is beautiful. The owner, John, stopped by our table to chat, very friendly. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful, informative and very accomodating. The food was very tasty but I am sure it would have been even better had it been served HOT. Chicken Oscar at $28 served at room temperature as was the soup. How can you serve room temp soup? If I am ever in Tamaqua again, I will go back but I will also insist that my food be served hot.

Our 1st visit to Vonz Restaurant will not be our last. The BEST EVER mushroom soup we have ever had the pleasure of tasting - very addicting, great depth of flavors. Ashley, our waitress, was extremely helpful and encouraged us to try some of the unique menu items. We tried the peanut butter and jelly wings - YES ! Delicious - don't miss out on this tasty new flavor of wings. The fish was prepared in such a way that it was moist and delicious and the coating was not overbearing. We were welcomed by Rich and given a lovely tour. Great atmosphere to relax in and just enjoy, great southern influence in the food. Von, the chef, came out to see how we were enjoying our meal. Don't miss this new addition to the Tamaqua area!

This has to be one of the cleanest restaurant in all of Pennsylvania, the service is of higher standard and the staff is very attentive. The food was amazing i had the mushroom and Swiss burger which is 1/2lb of mouth watering beef and boy was it tasty! Fried pickles and coleslaw hit the spot as an appetizer. This place is a must eat spot when you're in the area you will not regret it!

With a party of ten, everything from greeting to food to service was exceptional. This place is like a precious gemstone in a barren wasteland of restaurants offering a true dining experience. Well done!
