Wonderful experience! I'll be back. The other reviews are spot on. My aging body appreciated five nights of restorative sleep on my thick and wider than usual twin bunk bed. My friend and I cooked our own breakfast every day in the spotless, well stocked kitchen. The ambience was warm, inviting and very peaceful. Ryan's pooch Chloe was so sweet, well behaved and brought a joyful presence to our time spent at the hostel. It's obvious that Ryan loves welcoming his guests, all of whom were respectful. We went on a few hiking outings that were several miles away, so being just off I-26 was an added plus. My memory of our stay at The Lazy Tiger will live on as I listen to The Lazy Tiger Playlist on Spotify. Check it out! A big shout out to Ryan and fellow guests for making our visit to the majestic mountains of western NC one of simplicity, comfort and ease.

Everything about this hostel was great! It’s near downtown, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean! Ryan, the owner is a great host, made us feel very welcomed, and recommended a few places! Would definitely stay here again, when visiting Asheville.

This is not our first time staying in a hostile, but this was the best experience we've had so far. Ryan made everything from booking the reservation directly through his website, from getting confirmations prior to getting there, to making our stay even more comfortable. The rooms were roomy and cozy, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and well laid out. Out. The environment was inviting and we found ourselves sitting downstairs multiple times to visit with other guests. Ryan went above and beyond to make sure that we had great food recommendations and all of our hospitality needs were met. I would recommend to anybody staying in this area to give this place a try. We were two middle-aged women and felt very safe our entire stay.

Everything about this hostel is great and they have clearly thought of everything. It is clean, beautiful and has an amazing common space. There is a kitchen, coffee and breakfast for guests. There is a beautiful deck in the back as well. It is very safe with a keypad and keys to the rooms. The staff are very friendly, responsive and excited to engage with guests. You could not ask for higher quality hospitality. The location is close to downtown Asheville, making it easily accessible. I would highly recommend staying here and will be staying here every time I visit Asheville!

Stayed at the Lazy Tiger Hostel and was thoroughly impressed! The place is brand new and everything is very well done. Ryan is a great host and was eager to help us understand the area and find fun things to do. The back deck makes for an awesome spot to chill out, have a beer, and meet interesting people.

I had a pretty sweet experience hanging out on this part of town with porch hangs, great conversations with new friends and getting my work done in a nice environment ! Ryan has done a great job with The Lazy Tiger and as someone who’s nomadic and loves hostels, I felt the warm welcome and fell like I can all this space an Asheville home. I had a good nights rest here and was happy to learn the hostel is just 3 minutes away from the river arts district where I needed to be next day! Decent amounts of breweries and food near by. A park just down the street in walking distance if you need to get a run or workout in. Thanks for having me I look forward to connecting more in the future!

This was my very first experience in a hostel. I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but I was very impressed overall. I really liked the big back porch area, and everything was very clean. The beds were built into the walls and were really cozy. It kind of felt like making a fort as a kid, but a lot more solid. The owner, Ryan, was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend the Lazy Tiger for anyone traveling through Asheville.

Ryan was a great host, very knowledgeable about things to do in the area and very helpful. The space is extremely clean and beds were VERY comfortable. I met some very fun people in the communal area and had a blast! Way better than other hostels I've started at.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lazy Tiger Hostel and I would TOTES recommend as "the absolute best place to be/stay" to family, friends, and all visiting the Asheville area. The inclusive accommodations in addition to the immaculate environment created an overall exceptionally COZY experience. The staff members were also fabulous and accessible for the duration of my 5 day stay. The curated guides for local food, drink, hiking + brewery pairings, exploring etc. provided by Ryan were phenomenal! Chloe (the house dog) takes her role seriously too. She spent most of her free time peacefully snoozing below the local events and weather board located in the foyer. If you are looking for a place with exuberant vibes, affordable pricing, and genuine hospitality…. then book your reservation at The Lazy Tiger Hostel!

Location is perfect for easy access off the highway. A few nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Easy drive to downtown Asheville. The owner Ryan is a great host. He has put together a wonderful hostel with enough privacy if you want it. The common areas are clean and inviting.

I have stayed in many hostels all around the world and not only was this the best hostel I've ever stayed in, it's one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in. It is meticulously clean, spacious, homey, and gorgeous, making it feel more like an AirBnB than a hostel. Ryan's attention to detail, immense hospitality, and personal touch go above and beyond industry standard. The location is impossible to beat, being only a 10 minute drive to the arts district, numerous hiking trails, and the world famous Blue Ridge Parkway. This is the only accommodation I will consider on my future trips to Asheville.

I stayed at the Lazy Tiger Hostel for a couple of nights and have to say that this hostel is amazing !! It is very clean and fresh and everything about this place is well thought through! Ryan is a great host and Cloey the hostel mascot is so friendly. Ryan also has very good suggestions to explore hikes and venues around Asheville. The back deck was one of my favorite spot to chill out. The room and the bathroom was very clean and nice. The bed was also very comfortable. In a snapshot this is a very nice nice place, not very far from downtown. I would definitely recommend to stay at The Lazy Tiger Hostel to any one visiting Asheville or nearby areas !!
