I’ve been going here since I was a kid in the 80’s and I’ve continued the tradition with my kids and now with my grandkids. This year we went as usual and it took an hour to get in and over an hour to get through because it’s a cluster fluck of cars all crammed together stopping and going the whole time because they have 2 lanes of cars trying to go through at once instead of single file like it’s always been and you just sit there stuck in a traffic jam and can’t get anywhere or enjoy the lights because of it and the kids were crying they wanted to go home after about 30 minutes of mostly sitting there and barely moving but we couldn’t leave because we were trapped in there forever and I’m never going back until I see on the reviews that it’s back to a single line of traffic. I would rather pay $30 to go to the race track lights or Santa’s magical kingdom. Never ever again will I go back. 🤬😡

What an incredible place. Like all the sacred places I visit, I didn't even know about it, was driving through and saw signs for it on road. What a blessed place. The architecture is fantastic. The place is beautiful and Mother Mary Energy was sooooo pure and Strong, she feels so powerful here. I loved it. My name is Maria so I took the angel picture for me. Lovely place. Day way rainy, but it didn't matter. Will be happy to return and take more pictures🕊️

One of my favorite places to visit is the National Shrine of Our Lady of Snows in Belleville IL. While the Shrine is always a place of peace and serenity, their Christmas Way of Lights is a yearly event that I truly enjoy and always look forward to. The Visitor Center and Gift Shop were beautiful, and there were many nice quality gifts and souvenirs. Lighting a candle at the Grotto is always something I enjoy doing when I am there. The Shrine is always a pleasant experience, and I will definitely visit again soon.

This is a deceptively big place. We ended up spending 3 hours here. We first visited the visitor center; watched the movie on the background and got a map of where to go. I recommend doing this first. We drove to the stations of the cross and got out and walked.. I recommend walking it; all stations have audio. Was very peaceful; and got me feeling more serene. We did go then to the main shrine; at the bottom of the hill with many seats. We visited the chapel around the back; which is very well maintained. Directly across from the Main Shrine is The Millennium Spire - which was built to commemorate the Third Millennium. It stands at 85' tall and is made of stainless steel. Then we went to an area with bells and a pond. Finally, we got back in the car and went to The Lourdes Grotto. The Grotto is actually very near the entrance, but we saved it for the end of the visit. Things were extremely quiet and peaceful on the day we visited.

We went to see the Christmas lights display they had. Wow!!! It was absolutely amazing. I guess they do it every year. I would definitely go again and I highly recommend it. It's free but they do ask for donations. Load up your vehicle and go see it. One of the best Christmas lights displays I've ever seen.

On a beautiful late August afternoon we headed out to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Snows. As we walked around the grounds in such peace and beauty you couldn’t help feeling lighter. The Shrine is beautiful and the grounds are filled with art and prayerful places for contemplation. A lovely afternoon spent in the beauty of creation.

This is one of my best lights I have seen so far in different festivals. The wide area exhibiting lights on different themes. It is enjoyable through walk as well as drive in. Along with the displays camel ride and carriage ride is also available. The another important thing is the drive in way of light is almost free just they accept donations. Location wise is very convenient, right beside the road. In a word it is amazing.

+JMJ...Lovely grounds, Church and Chapel. Also, ate lunch in the restaurant. Pricing was good, server friendly, and the meal delicious. As a matter of fact, a side dish that I had ~ fried eggplant, was so yummy, I tried to replicate the dish at home. Spent only a few hours, but could have stayed much longer. My visit to this Shrine was very enjoyable because of the many beautiful areas dedicated to prayer. Particularly the replicas telling the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the story of Our Lady of Lourdes. Transcendental reminders of Our Heavenly Father's desire that we recall His loving mercy in the gift of Jesus our Saviour. Please pardon my explanation, but when one visits these places of prayer, there is a need to understand that what one sees is more than natural beauty. The soul should rejoice in the spiritual atmosphere everywhere present.

My husband and I went to see the lights they display during the holidays. I hadn’t been since I was a kid and I was amazed at how beautiful it was. Took about 20 minutes cruising through. There wasn’t much of a wait getting in or out. Fortunately, it wasn’t raining or freezing. I enjoyed it. It’s free but I suggest giving a donation at the end (I was surprised at the number of people who didn’t).

This is the third time we went for the Way of Lights. We like visiting this place during Christmas. Feeding the goats and sheep, pony rides and camel rides are fun, especially for our 4 year old child. Also the Christmas trees displayed are worth visiting. There are other displays too which my family likes.

Awesome display of lights as always! An absolute must see if you're around the area and love Christmas lights. It's a drive thru so no need to get out in the cold. Donations are accepted but it's free so an easy 5 star review!

Wonderful place to take the family! We went on a weeknight. Didn't wait in any lines or have crowds to contend with! Camel and pony rides were $8 each. A little pricey but a fun experience for the kids. Food for goats, sheep, and llamas was $2/cup or 3 for $5. The petting/feeding area was definitely worth it. The animals were so sweet and excited to be fed. Giving a $17+ donation at the lights drive through will get you the cutest Build a Bear lion that is great quality and a fun keepsake for the kids.

So beautiful, serene . Love going there but wish they would serve food again. Couldn't see everything because, being an insulin dependent diabetic, I have to eat on schedule. No time to leave and come back.

The Way of Lights was beautiful. Love the addition of colors. Went inside the gift shop. The decorated trees and wreaths were also beautiful. I also found a few gifts to buy.

As a secular person, my family and I enjoy the lights at Our Lady of the Snows every year during winter and we appreciate this location for it's beauty and helpful staff and volunteers.

We love to see the lights here, that's always great, but this year the guy who ran the pony ride was rude and demanding. I was waiting in line with my kid for a few minutes while 2 other kids were getting on. I couldn't tell if the ride was going to start because people were standing in front of us watching, so I opened the gate and it hadn't started yet. He said rudely that I should never come in without his permission and walked on saying aggressively that he is going to put my child on the pony and giving me other directions. I told him I will put my kid on the pony and he doesnt need to. The guy was really rude and aggressive. It was an uncomfortable situation to be in with my kid. Don't think I'll be back to do the ponies if I see him next year.

A great place to pray and relax. We said the rosary, walk around the grounds, and then had lunch at one of the picnic tables on the shade. While saying the rosary, we visited the shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe, which is a bit out if the beaten path (in fact, there was no one else there). It has nice statues of the Virgin Mary and Saint Juan Diego. It commemorates the apparitions of our Lady in Mexico City back in 1531. It's worth visiting!

Look like quite a change from 1957 and sometime in the 60’s! It is awe inspiring. The visit in the 90’s Mom & I only did a few stations, little long for both of us, we did enjoy the amenities 🦉🦋

We did a weeknight visit of the Christmas lights. It was busy and hopping with lots of families there. It was a really cold night when we went, so we didn’t do the outdoor activities. Drove the light path and got our chili hotdogs to go. Beautiful campus and very well done.
