We have a male cat who has unfortunately had a few visits to MedVet over the years, and in the past month had a couple of urinary blockages that required emergency attention and surgery. He is recovering quite well, and we have the wonderful staff to thank for that. It’s clear that everyone who works here cares deeply about their patients. My cat is usually pretty anxious about the vet, but seemed to really like the staff, which gave us some peace of mind when he had to spend a few days in the hospital. Of course a trip to the emergency vet is never a fun time, but knowing Greg was in good hands made a stressful situation at least a little less stressful. Special thank yous to Mandy and Dr. Rupani for the extra help after his surgery. Even on a day that the clinic was very busy, they showed us the same amount of care and kindness. It was nice knowing that everyone was rooting for his recovery just as much as we were. Including a picture of our boy who is feeling much better!

BIG RED FLAG 🚩 Upon arrival everyone was very friendly, the staff was overjoyed with my Bengal as he’s quite the charm. An hour or so into arriving we went over the treatment plan. I then had to go get the money for the procedure and I asked if I could leave him here as car rides stress him out and they said that I had to take him with me. During that ride he was so stressed he began to pee in the car, and if you know anything about cat pee, let alone my bengals pee, whewwww. Let’s just say that’ll be another couple hundred dollars to have the car detailed to TRY to get the smell out. However as soon as I returned with the $600 they said I was free to go until they called me back. 🥴 When I returned the vet began to tell me that they did further treatment (without my consent, not even a phone call to confirm) and it was going to be almost $300 more than what the initial plan was. When I expressed my concerns and stood my grounds with the initial plan and price she became very nervous retracted her statements and said they would comp that since they failed to communicate that with me. When they brought my baby back I noticed the wrap was extremely tight, however I’m not an expert so I trusted that it would be fine… OH WAS I WRONG. The next morning his foot was triple the size it should have been, literally busting out of the extremely tight wrap that they put on him the night before. Crying worse than he was when I brought him in the first time. Not only did I have to call off work to get him back in there, they did confirm it was wrapped too tight to begin with. WITH THIS EXPERIENCE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 👎👎👎

About a week ago I had to rush my dog to MedVet due to being stung by a bee on his snoot. Even though we immediately removed the stinger and administered Benadryl within minutes, I wanted to be sure he was going to be okay and not have an allergic reaction that could be fatal. Upon arrival, I advised the staff what happened and that I just wanted to be sure he wasn't allergic or have a delayed reaction later, due to my dog's history suffering from allergies. They said he could be seen by their triage nurse/tech and then inform us how his vitals were and give an opinion if we need to go the entire route of a full exam and testing, etc. We waited for just a few minutes even though it seemed a little busy at the time, he was evaluated in the triage at which the nurse/vet tech informed that he was stable, all normal vitals, health and that we did the right thing. We discussed and decided to monitor him throughout the night since we were going to take him home. I figured they would charge just for the triage exam, and by the looks of facility I assumed it would be pricey, but they did not! This place treats animals better than humans have it at emergence facilities (seriously I'd go there). From a friendly staff, decent response time, sanitary and clean environment, and showed attention and kindness to my dog, Manning. Thank you very much for putting our minds at ease, especially when you fear the worst. Thanks!

The staff were incredibly kind and understanding! Super calming, super clear and informative, and incredibly fast. They took my cat back before I could even tell the receptionist my name! They gave me every detail about what they did, what they found, and even offered additional testing just in case. My cat turned out to be totally fine, but I'm so thankful for their incredibly fast and thorough help!! Worth the 45 minute drive there with an angry, howling cat in the backseat!

4 stars because I didn't get to bring my puppy home, but no fault of theirs, she was hit by a car and her injuries were too great. They were great and helped me through this rough time.

I was very impressed with the professionalism I experienced when I was there yesterday with my dog, Xavier. Did we have a long wait? Yes but when it was our turn Dr. Ellis sat down with us and explained some possible issues and resolutions. She was attentive and very caring. She took her time with us to explain things and didn’t try to rush us. Unfortunately my dog was not able to come home but when the time came, again Dr. Ellis was amazing. She was sweet, soft spoken and comforted us while we were saying goodbye. I am thankful for her taking her time to really help us with possible treatment options and assuring me the choice I was making was in the best interest of my dog. Thank you again for caring for my dog and your extreme professionalism.

First off, the lady that answered my call was extremely kind. She was patient and recommendeded some coat saving options, suggesting ton make an apt for the next day since my case wasn't emergent. They were very helpful and answered all of my questions. When asked about if an x-ray was needed they were actually honest and said it could wait and see how my dog was doing in 2 weeks. They didn't push unnecessary treatments. That being said, an x-ray would have been about $400-$500!! Seems outrageous. Their consult and vet check was $110. Not bad at all! The vet was so kind. The nurse that helped us was very kind too. I wish I could remember their names. The front staff even got my puppers a bowl of water. The waiting room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended!

This was our third experience with MedVet but just the second time at the Dayton location and the first time with the dog we needed care for. It was early in the morning so they were not busy. We were promptly greeted; the dog was taken in and within minutes the process was underway. The front desk staff, the techs and the attending veterinarian (Dr. McAuley) were all top-notch. I am sorry but I did not get the names of the others involved. A diagnosis was promptly made, a treatment plan was discussed with us and treatment began. Our dog was discharged and appears to be on the road to recovery. This was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to use this facility again when needed. Thank you!
