Absolutely trash. Would give zero stars if I could. Only people worthy of any stars are the nursing staff and their aids. Doctors are useless. Their medical degrees were issued by Fisher Price. Don’t go here unless it’s your intention to die because trust and believe you won’t come out any better than you went in. Do yourself a favor and go straight to Duke.

They should change the hours of a child who come to visit someone from 10am -8pm. To 8am to 10pm. We are not from Greenville, NC but my daughter was inducted at this hospital. I had my grandson with me had to leave because he couldn’t stay after 8pm!! I ask if they had a family waiting room. Where I can stay until 10am the next morning because children can’t visit someone until 10am. They didn’t want a family waiting room!! So I had to leave my 23year old daughter who was having her first baby!! The nurses was rude!! On the labor & delivery floor!! I will never comment any woman to have their baby at this hospital!! It’s very important to have a family waiting from in case someone is here from out of town!! I don’t know who is the President or General Manager of this hospital!! They are doing a bad job!! And needs to be replaced!! Period 💯

My uncle's experience at this hospital has been horrific. The response time by doctors, case managers, and hospital administrators was so frustrating. The care was 100% back seat to the hospital getting the most money out of insurance. He went in far healthier than the shape he came out when finally discharged. I would recommend going out of town for serious medical issues. I will give praise though to the nurses, care partners, and lift team. So attentive. Too bad they can't run the hospital.

The surgical department has been great!!! We arrived at 5a.m and didn't wait long before being called back to pre-op, I don't see why they get bad reviews , because they have been nothing but super, kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive. I get hourly text message updates on how my loved one is doing during his 7 hour back surgery. They have free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate!! The nurses, staff, doctors and even workers walking by, are so nice and friendly!!! 10/10 Thank you ECU workers for making my family comfortable during our stressful time. And I couldn't wait to write an awesome review for all of you!!!! SEPTEMBER 19 2023

I am highly disgusted with this Healthcare facility. The staff here at the children's ER are rude and unprofessional. My child was brought in via EMS, because someone sprayed pepper spray at a party causing her asthma to set off. She was diress and the paramedics and Dr and nurses were rude to a 18 year old who struggled to breathe. They aren't fit to care for humans and I wouldn't entrust their services on my goldfish. They will be hearing from a very angry mother come Monday. If you don't like your job, QUIT! Not all college students are drinkers and drug users, my daughter had to be placed on oxygen because she was at a party where people decided to engage in unruly behavior. To treat her as though she is a trouble maker, is uncalled for. This will be handled come Monday!

If you are having a high risk pregnancy PLEASE PLEASE go somewhere else. These people told my daughter who was 27 weeks pregnant that she was not in labor. Told her “you are completely closed” (cervix) She was “just dehydrated” gave her fluids and send her home around 8pm. My Granddaughter was born at 5:33am on the ambulance. You never get a real Dr. you only ever get residents who literally looked like it was her first time taking care of a patient.

On Saturday my friend began passing out and seizing so we rushed her to this hospital and it was nothing less than a disaster. She sat in the waiting room for 12 hours before being placed in an er room. When I tried to sit with her in the waiting room they told me I had to leave when her brother arrived they also told him he had to leave when she was unable to take care of herself and was at a high risk of falling down. We were not taken seriously at all and the doctors and front desk staff couldn't care less about these patients. My friend ended having to get multiple tests and stay in the hospital for a way longer period of time because it took them so long to treat her. NEVER COME HERE IF U WANT TO LIVE A LONG HEALTHY LIFE

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. My friend was passing in and out shaking constantly. She could not even stay conscious for more than two minutes and they made me leave her in the waiting room all by herself. Even when her family got there they were not allowed to sit with her. Other people had family members with them, but the girl who couldn’t hold her head up was not allowed. She was there for 7 hours before she was even checked on and got anything. Like I said this was not a broken arm or a sprained ankle, she was having serious heart problems. Ridiculous. Needs to be shut down or taken over by new management.

Even though the wait time was extremely long I am giving 5 stars for the awesome nurse on G 05 on May 22 night shift and the awesome transporters. The gentleman who did my MRI was sweet and very professional. The security personnel at the entrance of the hospital ER was also awesome. One of the housekeeping staff on G 05 was not pleasant with her attitude. She wore glasses.

If I could give this hospital negative 1000 stars. I would dismiss the worst hospital. I have ever been to in my entire life. Some nurses were awesome. But that's nothing compared to how bad the foreigners are. Most of them Are very, very, very evil and Canaving and Forsful. You will not see me returning back to this hospital ever again. And I hope everyone that raised this has a bliss day

My son is in the er department and was offered an unidentified drug and when I informed his nurse we were told to just throw it in the trash. I asked to speak to an officer they never came. I flagged one down going by my son’s room and he said he couldn’t do anything about it and wouldn’t take the pill or information to investigate the guy who tried to give it to my son. What kind of place is this??? The person who gave my son the pill to take for his pain was another patient not a medical professional.

This place is been going downhill...and they continue to shoot themselves in the foot. One bad decision over another. Having a "hiring fair" while announcing layoffs...explain how this makes sense? I have been to the ER and left from the lobby after 4-5+ hours of waiting MORE THAN I have been to the ER and actually been seen. What was once one of East NC's premier medical facilities has turned into a corporate money grab. You're more apt to make the drive and get seen at Carolina East (New Bern) ER and home again in the time you would wait in the lobby at this ER.

My husband has been in this hospital since November 2. It is now November 28 with a BRAIN BLEED!!! They still don’t know what happened to him because they won’t do test and i have yet to speak with any doctor! Also, they did not get my consent. I don’t know who’s consent they got to treat him, but they did not get mine and I am his wife the next of Kin! This has got to be the worst Hospital ever it needs to be closed down. But that’s OK because this is one deal we will not be Peggy and I will report this to the insurance company so they won’t pay either.

😠 Absolute worst nursing staff I have ever seen in my life. My dad is a current patient, who has been there for 4 weeks now. The ICU nursing staff didn’t feed him or bring him water all day. They think that just because the patients are laying there, that they can’t hear them. They hear every smart co...

🫤 This place does not seem to take people’s health seriously. I arrived with my son who had a foot injury. There were four people waiting ahead of us. We waited 3 hours and Not A Single Person was called back. One lady was in obvious distress and seeked help repeatedly without resolution. Everyone se...
