Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery

Military cemetery

👍👍 It is a very beautiful place to visit, very calm and peaceful, amazingly well looked after. It does put a lot in perspective and I was truly impacted by how big it is and what it means. It is really worth the visit, I definitely recommend.

Very beautifully taken care of hollowed grounds. This might rival the size of Arlington. Highly recommend if your wanting to walk amongst the hero’s that are here.

What a breathtaking place. First time there and was at a loss for words. Went with fiance to visit family for him, me and then to visit friend. Truly just takes your breath away. God bless all those who served and gave their lives for us.

Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery is a hallowed burial ground located in St. Louis, Missouri. It serves as the final resting place for thousands of brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. It is a place of solemnity and remembrance, particularly on Memorial Day. On this special occasion, American flags are lovingly placed on every gravesite, creating a sea of red, white, and blue that pays tribute to the valor and sacrifice of our fallen heroes. It is a poignant reminder of the price they paid for our freedom and a powerful symbol of gratitude for their service.

This is one of the most beautiful National Cemetery I have had the privilege to visit. They keep it immaculate, which gives a little comfort when visiting a loved one.

Visit every Memorial Day. Always impressive. I've always said I'd like to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery, but Jefferson Barracks continues to woo me. We'll see.

We go a few times a year for placing flowers on a headstone. Always a lovely, well managed and manicured cemetery. Beautiful, quiet and calm.
