Had the crepes here for takeout and was pretty impressed. Great Eastern European vibe when you walk in. Look forward to dining in next time. Highly recommend! Update Came here today and dined outside. Ordered a pizza and it turned out to be the one of the worst that I’ve ever been served. I’m not generally picky but this pizza is pretty horrible.

This place was absolutely amazing! My husband is Serbian and while visiting Chicago I thought it would be great to visit an authentic Serbian restaurant. He loved the idea and so glad we did! The Bourbon Café had the food of his childhood and brought back great memories. Highly recommend it. The staff was incredibly nice and he also enjoyed listening to everyone speaking Serbian as well.

Recently dined there last Saturday. Staff was attentive and personable. They suggested a great beer (can’t remember what it was, but will have to go back again) and dish to order. I had the Cevapchichi, 5 pcs was enough and so good. Wish I had room for some of the desserts with my coffee. Will be returning for lunch next week. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Yesterday I enjoyed a full day of fun with my senior citizen canine friend Mishka. After taking my lovely girl for a grooming we had a long walk and celebrated by enjoying a leisurely late lunch date together here at this adorable European style Cafe. Honestly the charcuterie board here I ordered was one of the most decadent and generously portioned I've ever received! This is a Serbian restaurant and I've passed by many times without taking the time to actually visit and enjoy firsthand all the tempting and reasonably priced dishes. Trust me now when I say I'm so grateful I took time out with my beautiful dog to relax and treat her and I to an excellent and incredibly beautiful charcuterie board called the "Malo". My server was extremely kind and made sure my dog was well hydrated, constantly offering her more water and letting me relax and enjoy my meal without any rush or pressure to leave. I split everything with my dog...and we still have leftovers for tonight. I also wanted to have some dessert so I chose the cherry 🍒 pie which is served European style like a cherry strudel. The outside seating area where we ate is ample with extremely large umbrellas covering the guests, tables and chairs from the rain and sun. I will definitely repeat this experience and I highly recommend anyone visit this extremely charming European restaurant because the dishes are so delicious with a unique menu and beautiful presentation.

Shoutout to the amazing Uber driver, Dalibor, that recommended this place. This was by far the best food I had in Chicago. We got the Serbian burger and boy was it feeling. We were able to split it between the 2 of us. I saved some room for dessert and got a crepe with berries and honey. It was so delicious. The best crepe I’ve ever had. The ladies working here were nice and helpful with the menu. The restaurant is really cool and reminds me of being in Eastern Europe. If you are in the area you need to eat here.

20%OFF today Tuesday. The waiter left and did not introduce the new waiter. The food is incredible Mediterranean Serbian! The new waiter was very friendly. Cocktails were on point! Fresh hot breads were a surprise. Napkins are tiny.

I had a big pizza and it was delicious. I definitely recommend this place for having pizza.

Very nice, no frills neighborhood restaurant. I thought the service was excellent and the food very tasty. We tried the Chevapchichi and the prosciutto sandwich, and both dishes had tons of flavor and a homemade style. The price was fair compared to the portions. They also have a sidewalk patio area, which is nice for warmer months.

Take a step into the Balkans. Food and service are top notch! Authentic and fun.

This was my third time at this restaurant. The first two times, I had two different servers, both were very friendly and welcoming. I had the delicious chicken noodle soup with their wonderful homemade bread. On my second visit, the waitress gave me some butter for the bread, which made the bread even better!!! She was an excellent server & checked up on me several times. As a result, I recommended this café to many of my friends. Today, however, I went there with a friend for a late lunch, and although the food was good, there were some custom service problems. The main problem was the terrible service we received from the waiter. He was curt, cold, inattentive & Indifferent .This was a different server from the previous two. Not once did he stop by and check up on us and asked us how we were doing. Although my coffee was good, it wasn’t very warm, and when I asked him if he could warm it up, he said he could “do nothing” for me and he just stared at me with disdain & indifference. As if he was saying “ too bad to sad”. When my crêpe arrived, and although it was very good, there was nothing on it, so it was a bit dry and I figured a little butter, sour cream, or something else could make it less dry. I asked him if he had any butter or something else to add to it, & he said “ NO, NOTHING”. I told him on my last visit, the waitress served me butter with my bread, and he said “no, not possible “. Then he just stared at me, seeming to be upset. From the moment we walked into the café, he wasn’t friendly, and had a very unwelcoming demeanor. For me, when I go to a restaurant, customer service is even more important than the food . This waiter left a bad taste in our mouths and we were very disappointed in how we was treated.. He never stop by with the check so we had to walk up to the bar to pay our bill. Having worked in the food service industry for over 20 years, I know how important customer services is. It is important to be friendly and welcoming to customers. I was shocked at his lack of concern for us. He just sat behind the bar, looking at his cell phone the entire time, and then he went over and talked with two of his friends sitting at another table. It’s as if he didn’t care if we were there or not. I wanted to return to this restaurant again, but unsure right now. As mentioned the first two times I dined there the service was excellent and the food was good. My friend and I are both friendly people and there’s no excuse for the way he treated us so poorly.
