I had a positive experience with this hotel. The building itself seems to be mixed use: a combination of residential units and apartments that have been converted to "hotel" rooms. Check-in/check-out was easy. There didn't appear to be any on-site hotel staff; you receive a key code both to building and to your assigned unit in advance, and you use the code on security pads at the front door and also on the unit. Regarding the "room" itself, it was clean and comfortable. It was a small 1 bedroom apartment that had laundry, a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, a separate living area, and a full bath with a shower. Unit had ceiling HVAC units which were easy to use in both the living room and bedroom. Hotel staff was communicative and helpful through text message, and unit was furnished with all normal hotel essentials (bath towels, soap, etc). Neighborhood seemed nice in Lincoln Park. I'd stay again; great for a couple of nights for a business trip.

Clean, convenient location, comfortable digs, and freakin COOL. Hosts are responsive, and incredibly generous in their accommodations. Location is PERFECT, walking distance to Zoo, amazing food, and all things Lincoln Park. Quiet, safe, and great for family stay. Will undoubtedly stay here every time I’m in the great city of Chicago, and I will seek out opportunities to stay at other locations of the Neighborhood Hotel across the beautiful US of A.

We had a great experience at the Chicago neighborhood hotel! Our family booked a trip to come to Wrigley field to watch our home team play the Cubs. Our original hotel fell through and it was a very negative experience. The staff at the Neighborhood was warm and helpful. The booking site was easy to use, the communication with the staff was great and the location is perfect for what we were looking for. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Chicago. Thank you!

It really has the comfort of home. Great location and roomy. The coffee grounds were top notch. The TV had a really nice sound bar and all the apps I needed. The bathrooms were fully stocked and the washer dryer meant I didn’t have to overpack. I can’t wait to go back. Even the artwork on the walls felt like a home.

We love the neighborhood hotel! You get a full apartment in an apartment building turned hotel. It's close to the Lincoln Park Zoo so we can walk there with our son or go to many restaurants in the area. There's lots of parking available nearby through SpotHero. We've stayed there twice and had great experiences both times. It's the closest thing to having your own place in Chicago, and with none of the uncertainty / inconsistency in quality of an Airbnb. There's no front desk, just a key code to get in, so if you're looking for a standard hotel experience this is not that. But if you're looking for privacy, space, and comfort, this is a great hotel!

Customer service over email and phone was poor while trying to book rooms and acquire information about booking. We felt they were a little more focused on trying to be trendy than on providing useful information. The rooms themselves and the location were wonderful. We would book again but don't expect much from customer service.

Can’t beat this location - right on Clark! Perfect mix of airbnb feel (love that it’s dog friendly, has full kitchen, more space, easy no lobby checkin with code no annoying hotel keycards) with hotel level service (well stocked, ready to use shower shampoo/conditioner + quality soaps, paper + cleaning items, nice and towels and sheets, attentive staff response via text). Will be back!

A hotel that has the comfort of home! The entire process, from booking to check-in and check-out, was very easy and hassle-free. We opted for the two-bedroom, which included a spacious kitchen, living room, laundry facilities, and more. The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The location in Lincoln Park was prime, conveniently situated near great food spots and in close proximity to the lake. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and are looking forward to returning!

Really enjoyed our stay at The Neighborhood Hotel. Our first room had an issue and we were immediately upgraded to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath gorgeously decorated 2nd floor room. It was roomy, and there was a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen allowed us to make dinner and breakfast…made our trip so lovely!!!
