I found a staple in my food. I had ordered Grill Trío Entree, the beef and chicken kufta kebab and the beef sharwama. The food was good but by the time I got to the last cube of chicken in the Grill Trío Entree, I felt something in the chicken while I chewed. I took it out thinking it was a bone but horrified to see it was a staple. I called them to let them know and asked for a refund and did offer me a partial refund for just the Grill Trío Entree. I do not like demanding stuff in situations like this since we are in a middle of a pandemic but I do feel like I should've recieved a full refund. Please be careful when getting food from here.My kid also ate some and only hope he did not swallow a staple.

Super clean, prompt service, most important: authentic, DELICIOUS food. What a gem to discover accidentally! Location is not visible from the Route 9 side. It has been a long time since I've enjoyed truly authentic falafel and... pure heaven, actual Arabian coffee. My shukshuka was perfect. Prices are very reasonable. I'm very pleased and looking forward to returning.

The food was fresh, good and plenty. I'm not local, but won't mind stopping in again when in the area.

Excellent meal. Authentic, homemade Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food. The staff and owner are excellent people, very friendly and attentive. I've had Turkish/Arabic Coffee in many other places, usually in a small demi-tass cup. But they give you a full mug! And it taste great 👍. Located close to Marist College. You must try ths place!

We went to Falafel Town for the first time, and it was a great choice! From the start, our hostess, Ashley, was very friendly, explained the menu, and kept checking to make sure everything was fine, which it was. You can tell their interior was recently done and the music made our experience even better. I ordered a combination platter and my friend something else. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The other diners seemed very please too. It was a trip well worth it. We are definitely going back for more delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and great service!

You can never go wrong with ordering from falafel town. The food is always outstanding and the employees always go above and beyond to make sure everything is just how you like it. One of my favorites to order is the falafel sandwich the works. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing.

Just ordered delivery and found a cockroach in one of the food items. Like someone else who left a low review, I was only originally offered a refund on that one food item even though I threw out the entire order after my wife and I lost our appetite for this meal. I was communicating through Seamless so I insisted on a full refund and luckily they obliged. Having worked in the service industry for many years, I am always hesitant to leave a bad review as I know there are good days and bad. But serving food with bugs warrants a heads up to other folks looking to order. No photo for proof, we acted too quickly to remove the bug from our home lol.

The worst gyro I’ve ever had. The tzatziki tasted like sour cream. The onions tasted like lettuce, the lettuce didn’t tase at all. The meat wasn’t seasoned hardly enough and the pita bread was raw. ALSO, I found a piece of silver cardboard mixed in with my gyro meat… The baklava looked promising but the second I bit into it I knew I made a mistake. The crunch was a very stale crunch of phyllo, the flavor tasted like an oily old diner floor. Would not recommend eating from here unless you’re getting the food for free; because in the end, it’s not worth your money.

Falafel Town is Great food. It's been since the 90s in NYC since I've had a falafel. These were even better than I remembered. Portions are good sized. I'm leaving with leftovers which is saying something. Can't wait for my friend from the city come visiting, I'll be ordering from here. I know they will love this place too. I can't forget I like the decor to Falafel Town too.

Visited a friend and tried this place. Deliciousness Mediterranean cuisine. The server was kind enough to be patient and explain us the menu. Generous serving! Ample spacing between tables. Accepts credit/debit card. Ample of parking space. Bathroom is clean.

This place is more of deli and grab and go place. The food is good not great. The drinks are good but not excellent. The alcohol drinks not good. It' s not tasty or strong. There no in between niether. The waitress and waiters are friendly but not attentive. It's a small place. I wouldn't recommed this place for familiar. This is not greatest place to get authentic greek food. This place is good if your hungry and need some food quick. it's fair in price

Hudson Valley Falafel is the place to go for excellent greek and middle-eastern fare.  We dropped in for lunch (2 people) and ordered the Dolmas (6 grape leaves) and the Mezza (tabouli, humus, baba ghanouj, falafel and a bowl of tzatzaki for dipping the more than ample basket of pita bread. Waiter was attentive, service was quick, and the owner asked how we were doing. As I understand it, all the food is prepared using family recipes. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in thre mood for good middle-eastern food.

For a party of 50 we ordered the always delicious chicken, taboule, dolmas, hummus, babaghanoush and mountains of pita chips... All fresh and tasty. A great crowd pleaser. Thanks to Joey and his falafel family for helping us put it together.

Hudson Valley Falafel is one of my favorites places for lunch. I have tasted many dishes, but the falafel sandwhich and fries was lunch today. The food is always excellent with just the right amount of seasoning. Since they remodeled I want to come after work as well. The staff is really cordial and so top notch, it’s like they are only taking care of me. Every time i eat there, it’s like the owner takes a personal interest in my dining experience. That been special and has gotten my attention. I Love Hudson Valley Falafel! Thank you, LD

I have been coming here for a couple of years and absolutely love the food. Now that the renovation is completed with a full service bar and plenty of cozy tables,I will be dining more often with friends at this fresh location.Did I mentioned that everything is home made every day? This is what sets Hudson Valley Falafel apart from all other restaurants.... period.

Even while under construction, the cook and staff remain very friendly and super attentive. The food is very high quality and freshly made. Portions are enormous. Eat well and bring some home too. Baba ghanoush is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Delicious, homemade and authentic. The people are nice too! I've been there twice now and the food and people were just as good the second time around. Also, on Fridays they have buy 1-get one on falafel so it's a great time to try it if you haven't been there. They also have a full bar!

Was craving some Shawarma and boy did I come to the right place. The meat is extremely flavorful and seasoned as well as the rice, the French fries are crisp to perfection and seasonsed well, and the pita bread with the shawarma is amazing. I wish I could have this every day, it’s so good. Everyone working at the restaurant was super friendly, and the amount of food you get for the price is wonderful. Highly recommend and I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here more often!

Literally the best blend of food, service, price, and ambiance in Poughkeepsie. Consistently friendly staff (a rarity in the HV) and flavorful food make FT an awesome spot to have a meal.

Great new renovated space. Perfect for families or work lunches. The food could not be better. Hummus made daily will be the best you’ve ever eaten. Gyro and Falafel sandwiches are to die for.

Few days ago, we ordered two Chicken Shawarma wraps. A complex and unique flavor that's tangy and spicy. It was well-marinated chicken, layered on a vertical rotisserie or spit where it's slow in its own juices and fat--until perfectly tender and extra flavorful! Order was a company with hot french fries . Very delicious 🤤

Amazing food. I look forward to dine in the future. Lamb dishes are very good, and the seasoning used in their food is very rich.

Lots of space, and pretty decent food. I've been going here for over a year and the staff is almost always friendly. Easily one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the county, at least of the ones I've been to.

Loved this place! The falafel was delicious and the best I've had. Had the Yum Yum falafel salad and the Falafel sandwich with the Works. They were both amazing,. The staff and service were great, professional and very friendly. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean. Will be coming back every time we are in the area!

The food is always outstanding and everyone who works over here is very professional. I always eat here whenever I am in the area. They are also very friendly and the bathroom is very clean. I have been to many places and it's a hit or miss but this place hands down is amazing. Fresh and Healthy options with a large variety to choose from. I will be back without a doubt.

I tried Falafel town and the staff is nice but the food was okay. I got the burger, falafel pizza. It fell apart while eating it and was kind of bland. Judging by the reviews i thought it was going to be better. Overall i rated 3 stars for staff and location.

  • 5/5 Talal J. 2 years ago on Google
I love going here for shawerma or falafel sandwiches, but they also have a sit down menu with a number of other items as well, including desserts. And i recently discovered "falafel fridays" where you buy one sandwich and get the second free. If you like spicy, get "the works", it's got a small zing to it!

Absolutely the worst med food I have had anywhere ever. The carb free dinner which is just double meat with no rice was literally inedible. It looks and tastes like the charred scrapings from the grill pan. There is not a piece of beef in here larger then my my thumbnail and yet it is somehow dripping in grease. 90% of the meat is actually crunchy like burnt bacon bits. My husband got the NY platter with lamb. The small round tin container was filled to the lid line with bland rice; there were 5 small cubes of lamb and 2 falafels squished in on top. The lamb was over cooked and dry. Literally the only thing edible and and actually good we’re the falafels…In my opinion the only thing they should serve.

The food was just ok from what I experienced, however, my friend said the falafel he had was great. The service experience was bad... the initial conversation over the phone was aggravating because of the lack of communication skills the girl had, and it was NOT a language barrier issue. Simple things were made difficult. At the restaurant, the service wasn't great either. Maybe she was tired because we were their last customers of the day, who knows. All I know is I wouldn't go back, ESPECIALLY because the hair in my food I pulled from my mouth was most definitely not mine, and the waitress tried to tell me it probably was. She gave me a free rice pudding for the trouble (which was delicious) but there's no chance I'm dealing with that place again.
