I cannot say enough negative things about this office. It went to hell after Optum bought NWP. The service is HORRIBLE. The people on the phone are not trained to decide the importance level of the patient. All the best Doctors have left because they were so frustrated with the awful care decisions being made by Optum. I’ve called multiple times where I’ve been sick & they’ve told me to just go to Urgent Care. My husband made an appointment with one of the newer male Drs weeks or months in advance only to have his appointment cancelled the day before. If this corporate kind of health care is what our country is headed towards, it’s not good! It’s very scary. I am so sad that the best Drs ever, Colleen & Kristine, are both gone because of the terrible management by Optum. Shame on them. They took a very good practice & ran it into the ground.

Restating what other recent reviews said: place has gone downhill since it was bought out, the best practitioners have left due to unfair work conditions (overworked and underpaid as my former PCP informed me), the new people seem clueless and just not trustworthy in the way it was before. The front desk people have gossip sessions over the phone with patients in the waiting room. The medical assistants have longer acrylic nails than I’ve ever seen on a licensed medical professional, and the language they use in emails makes me wonder if they are even trained as a professional. The practitioner positions seem to be a revolving door, with new ones coming and going just as fast. I was reassigned 3 times in the past couple months, which makes medication management incredibly frustrating. I’m hesitant to come back here since I am, for the first time, genuinely concerned about the sanitary conditions and medical expertise of this staff.

I've never experienced worse care in my life, this place is a malpractice suit waiting to happen. THEY LET THEIR SECRETARIES GIVE MEDICAL ADVICE TO PATIENTS??? I have never seen a more poorly run medical office. I am so disgusted and appalled I want to save everyone the headache of going to this awful clinic. In fact they should be sued for even calling themselves a clinic. I wish I could have this place shut down. I will be contacting the state. Totally unsafe and unethical!!!!

Ugh - ever since they were acquired by another company, you can tell the quality has gone downhill. My family had 3 generations going to New West, but between doctors leaving, the lack of care, and lack of communication, we've all left. My husband was trying to get care for lung and sleep issues, and the doctor didn't call him for 6 days after he got the results of some tests. We had to call them multiple times, and ended up paying our of pocket for a specialist to get what we needed instead of working with New West. The doctor I saw for weight loss issues prescribed me a drug without hearing my concerns for my heart. When I told my specialist about what she prescribed me, she was shocked, as it doesn't react well with my other medications. I'm sad, because we've been going here for so long, but it's not worth the bad care and doctors that don't have our best interests at heart.

I strongly agree with the recent reviews of Lakeview Family Medicine. Last year, I encountered an issue where I was billed for an out-of-network visit with my primary care doctor, even though I had seen them 20 days earlier as an in-network patient. Importantly, when I arrived for the appointment, I confirmed that my insurance coverage was still in order with that doctor. Over the past year, I've been in a prolonged back-and-forth with NWP regarding this bill, which amounted to nearly $400 for an office visit and a flu shot that should have cost only $20. Unfortunately, despite their claims of "reviewing my case," they have not taken any meaningful steps to resolve this billing discrepancy. In addition to the billing issue, I encountered inaccurate medical advice on two separate occasions. Firstly, when I requested an alternative medication for something I had previously been treated for, I was informed that there was no viable alternative available. I called to make a second request for an alternative medication and received the same response. I knew this was inaccurate and confirmed this when I consulted another doctor two days later. Secondly, I received advice to switch to a different medication if I were to become pregnant, along with an alternative medication recommendation. After further research, I found that there were no disadvantages to the medication I was originally on, and no relative benefits to the alternative provided. Furthermore, I once called the office with a question about a medication but did not receive a callback until more than a week later. The lack of timely response was concerning and unhelpful. I have found that this medical office lacks proper management and attention to detail. Patients may face financial consequences due to their administrative shortcomings. Despite the financial strain on my family, I ultimately decided to pay the outstanding balance on my account, as it became evident that the office was unwilling to provide assistance or resolve the issue. In my best interest, I have decided to seek care from a different medical practice immediately.

Since being acquired by Optum, this clinic's quality and patient care seems to have really suffered. Most of the doctors that folks have come to know at this practice have left and have been replaced with doctors that seem to have a lower interest in providing quality and compassionate care. I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're wanting to establish primary care. It seems whoever acquired this clinic is just trying to pad their wallet.

I am so incredibly sad at how bad New West has gotten. I was hesitant to go back after my providers of 18 yrs left. I had amazing relationships with them. They made taking care of my health a not so scary thing. I've recently had to go back for some health issues and have been treated like absolute cr**! Unprofessional! Attitude! Even being hung up on due to me being upset about how my care is being handled. I requested a call back from a provider I recently saw and was told by a female that they do not allow their providers to call and speak to patients. That she would be my middle man. This is not okay in any way shape or form and have I never heard of a doctor or provider not being able to speak to their patients on the phone. Will not return to this facility!!

This place used to be good after a large staff turn over I have had nothing but issues. My pharmacy has spent weeks trying to get in touch with them to refill a prescription. They never have openings for appointments for physicals or illnesses, they recommend we go to the ER for a physical.
