We stopped into the national park after our visit to Seward Alaska. The drive into this national park is spectacular. The road is paved beautifully. As you come around one of the corners keep your eye out to the left to see the glacier. As you continue on the road when you cross over the bridge look for signs on the side of the road of where the glacier used to be over 100 years ago. The parking lot here is ample. We had no trouble finding a spot. There’s a ranger station on site but it was closed when we got there. It’s kind of crazy to do a hike in the middle of the summer and start at 8 PM! The trail was super easy to find and very well kept. I highly recommend coming to visit here!

One of my all-time favorite trips. Every time I come to Alaska I do something unforgettable and going on this tour was the one this time. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Seward or Anchorage, Alaska.

We covered the Fjords tour on the boat and it was fantastic! I've been to many national parks and this one is unique in its own right. Must see attractions - - Aialik glacier (can do a kayak tour but it's too cold) - Humpback Whales and Orcas - Huge bald eagle nests atop Fjords - Blowhole in one of the Fjords Amazing views of the wildlife including otters, sea lions, seals, whales, bald eagles, and many other species of birds during the tour and so much to explore and see here. Carry a waterproof jacket, gloves, warm beanie cap and layers since the boat tour can get really windy and freezing cold. Pack lunch as the tour provided lunch options are limited and subpar. The visitor center is a short walk from the tour harbour, which is also fun and informative to checkout.

KF is a national park that offers stunning views from both land and sea. Take a tour and explore the aquatic wildlife that lives in the Fjords. The hiking can be made better if you’re willing to explore the glacier itself with a little help of ice climbing. It might not be the cheapest or numerous hiking trails but the KF gives you a chance at some rare animals that make it worth it.

I've been in many NPS and this one is so unique and cool. In addition to visiting it by ship via a tour, we hiked the Harding Ice Field and Exit Glacier. This is a must-see for any park enthusiast!

Free access to Exist Glacier. We seemed to be the first two persons to visit the park when arriving there at 7am, and spent about 1 hour finishing hiking the 1 mile Glacier View Loop Trail and having a view of glaciers. The restrooms at the visit center are in good condition, organized and clean, being frequently sanitized. This place is definitely deserved visiting! Highly recommended!

One of the underrated National Park in US. No entrance fee. Beautiful scenery. Must book the Resurrection bay cruise tour and enjoy the wildlife. A lot of black bears around, so be careful

Whales! Sea otters! Sea lions! Bald eagles! Puffins! Glaciers! Mountains! Rock formations! Coves! I’ve been to 37 US National Parks and this one is in the top ten! We were blessed with clear weather on our tour date. Weather conditions definitely impact the experience. We took the Kenai Fjords tour and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Most underrated beautiful, amazing National park! We did Kenai fjords NP Boat tour with Major marine boat tours and had an incredible experience. We saw many glaciers (Bear, Holgate, Aialik Glaciers in our boat tour & Exit glacier doing a short hike). We also saw many sea animals like Humpback whales, Orca whales, Puffins, Otters, Sea lions, Seals, Dall Sheep and a Black bear which crossed the road in front of our car while entering Seward. (Be careful) Regarding the Exit glacier overlook trail, if you are short on time you can skip it because there is a better view from a overlook along the road before reaching the visitor center from Seward than doing the hike to the overlook area from the visitor center. But take the boat tour for sure. We didn’t do the Harding icefield hike due to a shortage of time but if you have time, do it. There are lots of bears in this area so carry bear bell or spray with you.

Simply amazing place. Pretty much embodies Alaska in one area: whales, puffins, orcas, lots of glaciers, big mountains, moose, bears, great hiking, etc. Nearby town of Seward is my favorite in Alaska. Definitely take a tour with either KFT or Major Marine, hike to Exit Glacier, and/or kayak around Aialik Glacier or Bear Glacier.

My very first national park, and the most gorgeous place I have ever seen in my entire life. I hiked the full Harding Icefield Trail, which really kicked my out-of-shape butt, yet was totally worth it. The pure air and enchanting vistas were absolutely mesmerizing. Do yourself a favor - go there.

Pretty neat place. Close up of moose and bears that I definitely would not want in person without the fence. My biggest complaint is the insane amount of bugs. My car was filled with gnats and mosquitoes just from purchasing our tickets. I was pretty hesitant to get out of my car too often. Bathrooms are nice, and so is the gift shop.

This is an easy hike, roughly 2 miles with very little elevation gain (300 ft). You’re able to see how far the glacier has receded over the last 200 years. You can see that the retreat is accelerating in recent decades. Don’t forget your bug and bear sprays. We went in late May and the mosquitos were very few.

Kenai is one of the most gorgeous national parks. I visited Kenai during the spring season when this entire region turns into a heaven. The lush green wilderness with its snow capped mountain and turquoise blue river created a magical experience. There are several beautiful hikes, fishing spots, kayaking places and some eateries. We had a memorable time in Kenai.

Very SCENIC two hour drive from Anchorage. I am a middle age man in decent shape and I am as able to do the Harding Ice Field hike, 8.2 miles it will take all day. The sight seeing cruises out of Seward are double triple worth it. I saw bald eagles, whales, and an old World War 2 lookout. With kids you would have to be super careful doing the Harding Icefield hike.

It’s really hard to describe how beautiful this park is. Only accessible by ship, in sometime you will find yourself in the middle of the ocean with tons of islands around you. Boat tour is little costly but it is worth. Most of the boat tours are six or eight hours and includes lunch. Many marine animals like whales and seals are the main tourist attraction. Off course they will take you to the glaciers and it’s amazing.

Worth the drive to visit and see the majestic mountains and hike to the glacier. The National Park Service staff are top notch and customer friendly. Subway and Safeway only open places in October.

Absolutely a stunning and literally a breathtaking hike to Marmot Meadows. I would describe the hike as strenuous. Trail is in good condition and there are plenty of places to sit and rest. Do that! Know your limitations. Would have loved to have gone to the top but am glad I didn't push it. Definitely go to the bottom of the glacier for that view and see how far it used to go out to. Global warming is real folks and soon this glacier will be nonexistent.

The glaciers, orcas and humpback whale, seals, and rock formations are amazing! Not a fan of the chicken wrap lunch so bring your own. Seas can get rough so may need Dramamine but definitely worth it!

After doing the Kenai Fjord Boat Tour (7.5 hr), Exit Glacier seems like not too much. Holgate Glacier and Aialik Glacier were a blast, and the scenery was not only impressive, but there were also a lot of porpoises and whales (specifically Orcas). Well worth it!

Wow. Just wow. This is a beautiful wonder of nature. Didn’t care much for the forts during the hike, nothing special to me really. But the nature was incredible. Didn’t run into any bears or other wildlife for that matter other than a cute little grouse.

I'm really not sure why anyone would ever give the Fjords under 5 stars. It's a beautiful place. Very accessable from Anchorage only a 2 hour drive. Seward is also a great little tourist town that nicely accommodates the park. Exit glacier is a great hike, you can go to the overlook point and continue up the rocks to glacier a once in a lifetime view.

Amazing nature experience. Excellent trails for the family. There is so much to do and see, Exit Glacier, kayaking, hiking, wildlife watching... etc. Come here once, will want to come back again and again...

On our cruise in October, almost everything was closed for the season. We did go on a day cruise, seeing lots of glaciers before they all melt. I'm giving it 3 stars because half of what we scheduled was canceled without a discount or refund offered. Anyone walking up paid 1/2 of what we did.

Take the Harding Ice Field trail as far as you are comfortable. There are three main points of interest. If you can, proceed to the top. It is 3200’ of vertical but the views above tree line are worth it. Expect 2-3 hours to get to the top.
