👍👍 Solid little campground. It says there's a check in area but when we went to check in there was nobody there. There are parking slips cut into the trees that provide some privacy and seclusion although they are decently close together. Coolest thing is the views, there are waterfalls right in front... Solid little campground. It says there's a check in area but when we went to check in there was nobody there. There are parking slips cut into the trees that provide some privacy and seclusion although they are decently close together. Coolest thing is the views, there are waterfalls right in front of you. And a short walk toward them leads you to a easy trail you can walk along the rushing water. Going one way on the trail takes you upward to a great view of Whittier and the sound. The trail stops at a certain point with a barrier saying the trail is under construction. Also in the morning we saw a bear right outside of our RV! It was super cool, but also keep in mind for safety. Also walking distance to the town, overall good location for dry camping.

Excellent Campsite and fun for kids. Next to an ice cold creek. The weather is often rainy in Whittier, so plan accordingly. Campsite is rustic, so don't expect modern amenities. It is fun to take the pedestrian tunnel under the train tracks into the oceanfront side of town.

This campground is Awesome. It brought me back to the basics. There's no water and there are Outhouses for bathrooms. The hiking trail is right next to the campground. And its beautiful and only $10 a night.

Creekside is a great, no frills campground. Access to beautiful trails right at the campsite. Outhouses available but you can take a short walk for ample public restrooms in town. Plan for rain and be bear aware.

In August, it was a busy campsite, the campsites are very close but at least have tree dividers, there is a stream with rapids that run along the trail next to the campsite with trails to hike around so it creates great white noise for the campground. We met very friendly neighbors and hung out for the night.

Not a lot of interest in structure here, but I'd definitely come back. My girlfriend and i do a lot of traveling out of the back of a vehicle, "Vanping", so we just need a place to park over night. This place has many spots to do that and there were very few people there relative to capacity, so it was kind of our own camp ground. It only has portapotties and a waste dumpster for infrastructure. Right up against the creek, however, with a well groomed trail that takes you upstream.

Campground is OK. Dry. Host is inattentive and guests have generators going 24/7. Noisy and not worth the stay. I'd suggest boondocking

Town is great and the view is spectacular! The restaurant inside the hotel needs work though. Got treated like I was from a third world country. And the customer service sucks! But the China Sea Restaurant always is a favorite.

I think this is your only 'in town' camping option. We stayed one night. You're in the trees behind a large parking lot. It was a bit buggy when we were there. Your next to a river and about a 5 minute walk into town. Two portable toilets, both clean. Can't beat the location for convenience, but we also stayed at the city campground down by the tunnel and the views there are hard to beat.
