Great service, it’s a busy place but the food will show you why. Very reasonable prices too. Actually ate all the crust, can’t do that at most places so great job! Recommend the meatballs and almond tart!

Came here with high expectations from a recommendation, and summarily, it exceeded them easily! Everything we ordered - caponata, fig & gorgonzola salad, meatballs, The Stracci with sausage, and The Stracci Blanca with prosciutto - tasted fresh, very balanced, and very flavorful. Food came out surprisingly fast considering the place was packed and all the food is made from the remnant food truck in the back (our wait time was an hour and 45 mins for 4 people on a Friday evening). Servers were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is in a very nice location in Old Town. Planning a trip with other friends already!

I placed an online order for takeout mid-morning on Friday—the earliest available time for pickup was 7:45pm that night. When I got to the restaurant to grab my order I overheard staff quoting guests an hour to an hour and a half wait for a table (insane!). But while waiting for my food, several different parties were leaving and all shared how great their meals were and how well worth the wait it was. I can confirm they were right! This is the best pizza I’ve had in the DMV area.

I’m not usually an appetizer person when I go to get pizza but the rosemary focaccia with the gigante beans is so perfect I order it every time. I love how soft the bread is and how flavorful the beans are. I love the stracciatella cheese on the pizzas and the crust is awesome too. Though the Stracci pizza is not as flavorful or delicate as some of the other pizzas. The Brooklyner is a favorite. Have gone back multiple times and recommended to many people. Inside seating is a little loud and you have to order on your phone, which is convenient if you need more rosemary bread.

We ordered one of their specials, a brussel sprout pizza with bacon and just a little bit of maple syrup. We also ordered the traditional stracci and a pizza with pepperoni and honey called the brooklyner. For appetizers we had the focaccia bread with eggplant, as well as with olive oil dipping sauce. We also ordered the fig and arugula salad as well. Everything was perfect and came out quickly. The tab based ordering system was convenient as well and we were able to eat outside.

Great pizza place. I was impressed with the crunch, flavor, and dynamic salty sweet of the Brooklyner pizza. Unfortunately, on this day, it took over an hour to get the pie. I think they had forgotten about it until our table reminded them. It appears that all of the cooking happens outside in a food truck and then it's brought into the restaurant. The meatballs were very flavorful, but on the cooler side, when they arrived. Lastly, the drinks are in smaller coupes a-la 1950.

OMG, the dough!!! This is legit the best pizza dough I have ever eaten, and I have probably eaten a couple tons of pizza in my lifetime! I discovered Stracci on a Reddit thread about the best pizza in the DMV so I knew I had to try it and I was not disappointed. We started with the chicken liver mousse appetizer, which was excellent. We ordered three pizzas: The Stracci, to which we added pepperoni, the Three Cheese & 'Chovy, and the Johnny 'Za 'Za. They were all incredible. The three cheese with anchovy was super salty in a good way, as to be expected with anchovies. We also got the side of olive oil for dipping our crust. Note that they have red pepper flakes but if you want and grated parmesan that costs extra. We had some of the weird organic Italian sodas they serve, which were strangely unsweet even though they have massive amounts of sugar per the label. I understand sticking with the Italian theme, but some other non-alcoholic beverages, such as juice's or Americanized sodas, would be good to have. The bar was kicking, with the bartender sweating he was so busy. We did not imbibe, so I cannot say how good the drinks taste but they looked refreshing. We were able to be sat immediately indoors on a Wednesday night after the dinner rush, but the restaurant was very full. We would have had to wait 30-40 minutes for outdoor seating. Be aware the the indoor dining room is extremely loud. It was difficult to hear each other across the table. I have found my new favorite pizza place!!!

Can't say enough about this place and the popularity is well-earned. Went here for a date and the wait was about an hour and fifteen minutes. While waiting for a table my date and I enjoyed drinks in the small wine/beer garden located just outside. The atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable. Once seated, we were greeted by our server and he explained the menu and answered any questions we had. We were able to order food through the QR scanned menu and the service was fast! The meatballs were heavenly and the pizza was delicious. They say you can order a pizza for yourself, but it can also be shared between two people depending on what else you eat. Highly recommend!
