Johnny makes music fun. And helped my son play a song rather quickly. He sure knows how to get points across without making it complicated. That's how good he is! Drums, guitar...song writing ideas. He's amazing. And we love Vanessa the owner, she's so sweet:)

SOR has been fantastic for my daughter. She only picked up the guitar a year ago and she already can play so much! She looks forward to every session and lesson. It’s also fun to watch her explore music that I have always been into, to now see her listening to the Stones, Green Day. Etc. It’s really cool! Plus the confidence it has given her. It’s a great program!

So for a while my 9 year old son was asking me to take him to drum lessons. I have to admit I had a preconceived notion about The School Of Rock. I thought, oh here we go some trendy thing to scam parents out of money. I grew up playing multiple instruments myself and I have a home recording studio. I have four children and never pushed any of them into music. My youngest is all about it. Best decision I made for lessons is take my son to The School Of Rock and we got hooked up with Johnny for my sons drum lessons. My son loves learning from Johnny, he’s great with him, & to top it off the dude is just an all around good guy. No stuffiness, the staff, ownership, everyone across the board is super down to earth and genuine. I’m extremely happy that I found the nerve to finally go through with taking my son to the school of rock, it’s been a fun ride so far and we are lovin every minute of it. :-)

This place is amazing! My son loves to attend. He absolutely adores his teacher Mike. He looks forward to attending each week. Recently he had a one hour session and Mike introduced him to playing the drums and he's obessed. He's completely amazed that Mike is able to play the drums, guitar and piano. My son is slowly building his confidence to one day play in the band. The location is super convenient for driving or taking the Metro North. Your kids and parents will love the vibrant music. Music legends greet you on the wall, along with the colorful paintings.

Fantastic music school, great atmosphere, fun, with plenty of opportunities to perform and apply what they learn. The children are encouraged to give it their best. It is a very relaxed, happy atmosphere while making sure the kids are motivated, reliable and serious about their commitment !!

My daughter has been attending SOR for two years as a drummer and loves it! She is always excited to go and even practice at home. The teachers are so attentive to the kids and they really learn how to work as a group. I have seen such progress not just as a musician from her but also realizing that she has a band relying on her. Their shows are at the end of each session are so much fun to go to and I am so impressed with what the kids accomplish!

Awesome program and highly recommend! Everyone at School of Rock Mamaroneck is friendly, knowledgeable and provides a wonderful learning experience.

my daughter has thrived at School of Rock. great classes and great people. they care about the students, they place is beyond cool and my daughter, 8 years old, loves being here and is learning a lot about music, performing and the overall vibe of being a musician. staff is easy to communicate with and goes above and beyond to accommodate the families and scheduling. highly recommend!

The staff is wonderful, friendly, knowledgable and most of all supportive. The combination of a weekly one on one lesson and 2 hour live practice is an amazing combination (also an excellent $ value) I have progressed more in the last 6 weeks than the previous 3 years
