This public beach is well worth the trip! There are a couple of hidden gems here. As you walk down from the parking area, the path ends to a secluded beach. A little bit of paradise. The large rocks on each side make for great pictures.

This is a wonderful beach to spend the entire day, or to just drop by for the beautiful sunrises/sunsets. Beach access is steps away from parking. I have only visited during the off season, which pretty much offers you your own private beach.

Best spot in Cape Henlopen - amazing views, trails and a dog friendly beach. What more could you ask for? They also have a Rita’s truck now. Make sure you bring bug spray though! The bugginess will ruin your time if you’re not prepared.

Loved this beach! Kids thought it was great for skim boarding and boogie boarding!

This beach area is near 2 large parking lots and offers separate access for cars to drive onto a car-beach area. When we visited on a weekday there were no lifeguards on duty. There are benches on a lookout area if you enjoy sitting and watching the tide, like I do. This location includes the ruins of Herring Bunker which you can view from the outside. It was a lookout with artillery during WWII as well as the cold war era in the 1960's.

Great state park beach. $10 a day for out of state residents, which isn’t bad considering you pay to park at the other beaches. Note: no lifeguards, no concession stand, no beach rentals. Also, ‘main’ parking lot is very small & fills up super fast, so be prepared to park further away and walk a bit if you don’t get here early enough. But the beach itself is huge and the waters seem nicer than main Rehoboth/Lewes area beaches. Worth the effort, cost and drive… just plan accordingly.
