Love the vibe here! Only stopped for drinks so food review may come another day. What's important is that we got hang with a VIP, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and loved every minute of it!! Excellent service, helpful suggestions and an awesome atmosphere make this a fun party spot on any visit to Mount Dora.

We loved how it made us feel back in England again. The food is spot on and delicious. I was grateful they made a vegetarian Bangers and Mash for my husband that was amazing, as I loved the Shepherd Pie!!

Ok, at best. Nice atmosphere, but the food was just so so. We were pretty disappointed overall. I had the Sheppard pie, and the mashed potatoes tested like instant ( watery) There wasn't much flavor at all in that pie. The waistess was very friendly and attentive. The prices were typical of today's restaurants. Would I recommend it? No! There are too many other choices in the area that got to be better.

TWO WEEKS LATER and I am still raving about the incredibly underrated GEM that is THE Magical Meat Boutique in Mount Dora, FL. As one of the few (if not only) restaurants open past 9pm on Sunday, safe to say I wasn’t thrilled with our limited dining options. Although, after skimming some online reviews, my demeanor began to shift. Deciding what to order from a menu filled with traditional English pub grub wasn’t easy, but we relied on the feedback of the staff and a few others to make final food decisions, (reviews from Google and Yelp specifically). sidebar — i have never liked shepard’s pie. while I do love each ingredient in the dish, it is not something i would even consider ordering for dinner. never have i ever ordered shepard’s pie, simply because i thought i never really liked it?! THE SHEPARD’S PIE was EASILY THE MOST DELICIOUS THING I HAVE EATEN IN YEARS — jam-packed layers of flavor, every bite being better than the last. Their staff is professional, hospitable and knowledgeable. The owner and staff have built something truly ‘magical’ in Mount Dora. They successfully exceeded expectations and this place is undoubtedly worth another visit. Do yourself a favor and order the Shepard’s Pie, TRUST ME, you won’t be disappointed! 😉

Loved the fish and chips! Emely was super attentive and super sweet. We came during the Christmas season and we were able to get outside seating! You can enjoy all that is happening in that busy little street while having a great meal! Definitely coming back!

The service was great. The portions were more than generous. I ordered the fish and chips and not only did my husband eat some of mine, but I still had a whole meal to take home. He ordered the shepard's pie and raved that it was like no other. Don't forget the beer cheese and pretzels. The drinks were on point and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. We definitely recommend and will be back.

Excellent food!! So tasty. Steak and ale pie, and shepherd's pie were amazing!

Service was prompt but curt...like she was miffed she had to serve us. Still gave her a great tip since she still did a great job. The bloody Mary was mild so I would ask for it to be spicy. The Full Monty Breakfast hit the spot and was nicely done. The only complaint was the black pudding was over cooked and rock hard. The outdoor seating was comfortable. The bathrooms may be difficult for anyone with a handicap to go to as they are rather long and narrow.

The cod "fish and chips" were just ok, the Shepard's pie was really good, and the lamb burger was excellent. The service from the older woman was abysmal. Wrong bar drinks, waters never refilled, never brought out the missing tartar sauce, never asked if we wanted dessert (we did!) And had to hunt her down to pay the check (we watched her standing by the service bar just talking, and talking, and talking... I would have expected that type of service from a spoiled teenager whose college was being paid for by their parents and not from an older person who should know what quality service is.

Plenty of seating option. Fun environment. Very nice and attentive waitress. Had to try the as advertised fish and chips (cod) and absolutely loved!

We fish & chips along with Bangers Mash. It seemed that the fish had been refried more than once. Mashed was lumpy. The condiments needed cleaning badly!

My husband had an early dinner here while visiting Mt Dora to shop and see their beautiful Christmas lights.
