It's an excellent afternoon walk, especially when the surrounding trees bloom.

I walk on this promenade in the mornings. Reverend Martin's words are inspiring. I have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord

A must see in San Diego.. The epitomy of downtown SD lifestyle and all roads lead to the Gaslamp

Beautiful park for some quiet time and to take in some quotes. The sidewalk boarders the train station and isn't a whole lot to look at, but still relevant. Thankfull for the installation no matter where it stands.

One of my favorite places to walk. Never know what you will see. Lol

Great memorial, right along an exciting and thrilling area. You have the convention center, adjacent and across the street. Also easily accessible to the Green line trolley that routes as far as Santee. Encapsulating transportation connections to Old Town, Mission Valley, Fashion Valley, El Cajon and other close townships within San Diego. The famed Petco Park, where the San Diego Padres plays is just a couple of blocks away. The infamous 'Gaslamp District is just a stone's throw away. Easy connection to the Orange line and Blue trolleys (Access south to the Mexico border and La Jolla to the north) are nearby.

I'm neither here nor there about it because there is a lack of true spirit for the lack of art in it. Sure, I love the fountain and the trees, along with the large metal sculpture celebrating the abolition of slavery, but how about a plaque with some important facts about what the man was after? Anyway, it's an airy space in a mostly touristic area.

The promenade is so educative that it has placards buried in the dirt along both sides that showcase famous sayings, statements, adages that came out of the many speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Being blessed with living super close to this spot allows me the opportunity to get a walk in almost daily ☺️ Living Downtown; specifically in the Gaslamp District has easily been Life's greatest change of pace.

Difficulty finding the location, heavy traffic and construction makes finding the location a challenge. Recommend using the trolly and walking.

Used to be clean and had places to sit. Now it's safe to say it isn't so much.

Nice walkway to take long walk or not. However, something kids it stinks because there are no restrooms nearby for padestrians so it stinks like urine most of the time.

Great place for a walk but the locals are not very friendly to tourists and non locals.

The very inspiring sculpture dedicated to Rev MLK Jr is awesome. Along the promenade are his quotes carved into granite blocks. These are must sees for any visitor to this area of San Diego.

Amazing park for all people of the San Diego Downtown community. Multiple trashcans and dog waste trashcans. Don't forget to clean up after yourself! I've seen too many people trash the place and that's why the Hilton Gaslamp Quarter Hotel has to task additional staff just to clean the MLK Promenade, it's disappointing that people have no respect in regards of their waste sometimes. This is an amazing place to remember one of the greatest civil rights leaders to ever have lived in America.

Martin Luther King said this once a long time ago.πŸ™β™₯️ Don't judge a man by the color of his skin. Judge him for the content of his character.πŸ’ͺπŸ’—

It's a wonderfully designed walkway (lit at night) dedicated to a brilliant person who "paved" the future for so many people of ALL colors, to a brighter future. Every ten to fifteen feet there are passages from his many speeches that are timeless in their meanings and are valid in their composition. Although his "dream" hasn't fully come to fruition, its message will be engraved in the hearts of all who take the time to enjoy this walkway and ponder the quotes.

This is a great place to come and walk and chill out. The inspirational quotes engraved into the side of the pathway are fun to contemplate while walking and taking in the beauty of San Diego city.

When is art, historian, Noble Prize winner, social justice leader not a 5*?! And this promenade is walking distance to Seaport Village, and trolley exit. Enjoy.

One of the coolest places I saw in SF. Lots of people there, the flora & fauna are incredible, wish I'd had more time to spend there walking around!

Great place to take the kids for the day . We went to the kids area. There's a merry-go-round and a long bumpy slide. My kids ran up the stairs to go down that slide about a hundred times.

Beautiful here at anytime of the year! The park is huge and you could be here walking around seeing many sites all day.. and still not see it all! Art museums, special events, people watching, ponds, buffalo.!

It's a nice walk and all. Really though; if you're coming to town, & play Pokemon Go, you'll find raiding teams in that area.
