What an amazing experience we had for Valentine's Day last night. The portions were very generous and the food blew my mind. Everything was extremely delicious and while the food was excellent what stood out most to me was how PERFECTLY the restaurant was run. We had welcome champagne at the table before I took my jacket off. Our water glasses never reached the halfway point before they were refilled. Empty plates were removed within seconds and the courses were perfectly timed out. It was busy and while they had a decent sized staff it felt like they had double or triple the staff that they actually had. The hostess was also amazing and got us sat quickly even though we showed up 20 minutes early. Huge Kudos to this place for giving us a perfect experience on one of the busiest nights in the restaurant biz.

Without a booking they will happily seat you at the counter overlooking the expansive kitchen where you can witness the craft of the staff creating these fantastic dishes. The food is rich in flavour. The venison was a outstanding. Cooked medium rare and with mash and rocket, this dish was a highlight. Although not cheap I think this place represents real value for money. I recommend this place especially as you take a breather from Broadway.

My experience at Etch restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary, and I'm excited to share the details: Culinary Delight: Etch is a culinary gem. The menu is a masterful blend of flavors and textures, showcasing a range of options for vegetarians and omnivores alike. The creativity in each dish is truly remarkable. Ambiance: The restaurant exudes a high-end, yet welcoming ambiance. It's perfect for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ready to guide you through the menu. Pro Tips: Reservations are highly recommended, especially for dinner. The place is quite popular, and it's not surprising why. As for parking, there are nearby garages, but you might find it more convenient to use valet service. Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian, I was spoiled for choice. The chefs here truly understand how to make vegetables shine. Don't miss the Roasted Cauliflower, a delightful explosion of flavors. Signature Dishes: The menu is ever-evolving, but some signature dishes are consistently outstanding. The Brussels Sprouts are legendary, and the Gnocchi is a must-try. Etch is more than a restaurant; it's a gastronomic adventure. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply savoring the finer things in life, this place delivers on all fronts. Just be prepared for an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of the city. 🍽️🍷🌟

Amazing service! We sat at the bar facing the open kitchen and we loved it. We were able to see the kitchen and wait staff work as a team, it was refreshing to see. The food was clearly handled with care and beautifully decorated. Glad we chose to try this American fusion cuisine, it was very unique! Our server ensured we had a fantastic anniversary dinner and that was immensely appreciated.

It took 2 years of living in Nashville to finally make it to Etch and I regret not coming sooner. The menu was extremely varied and thoughtful, and the dishes were so so good. Every bite was wow. Highly recommend the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts as a starter / side!!

What started off as happy hour, turned into dinner, turned into lunch the next day. We thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail in the food - all the sauces and components in every dish truly delivers a multi textural, flavor forward experience.

We came in as we’re here for work. The service was impeccable. Anthony waited on us. He provided us some awesome recommendations and was a joy. I highly recommend…. Everything. We all ordered different things so we could share and try it all. It was all so delicious!!!! You can’t go wrong… at all. Just get it all and enjoy!!!! And the dessert… the chocolate mousse is so worth the wait!!!! Just so fantastic.

This was Valentine’s Day dinner and it was amazing. There was valet in-spite of the crazy cold and snow, that guy was amazing. The bathrooms were clean and smelled wonderful(the little things) Everyone was polite and smiling.. service was excellent. Our server was Sarah, she was AMAZING!! Ask for her when you go. Absolutely attentive, informative, funny and sweet. Raven.. the gentleman keeping things running smoothly there, took the time to personally check on us. We sat at a counter where we could watch the kitchen while we ate, it was very cool! The menu, food and wine was amazing! Everything perfectly prepared. The price was a bit on the high side, but I believe you get what you pay for... it was a four course Valentine’s Day with optional wine pairing.

Great experience at the “counter” bar served by Samantha. We ordered the venison, from the sea and chef’s creation for entrees and octopus and shrimp bruschetta and the famous cauliflower for appetizers. Each plate had tons of variety of flavor, each bite was distinct and delicious! Don’t even get me started on the passion fruit coconut sorbet. The pavlova dessert was also a total delight!

What can I say? It was perfection. Best food, great atmosphere (not loud), and best service. We ordered the muscle appetizer. The sauce was so good, we did not want to waste a drop. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Nashville proper.

Food was delicious and they do social distancing well. Took a star off as I felt a little rushed through my meal but servers were attentive and atmosphere was pleasant. Loved the octopus and shrimp salad in particular.

Etch was absolutely fabulous! Made a reservation for the Tuesday of Christmas week and it definitely wasn’t needed. The drinks were delicious and the service was awesome. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and guided us to an awesome meal. The cauliflower appetizer is a must and was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered lamb and I had the scallops. The dishes were so flavorful and unlike anything else we have had in a long time. We ordered the asparagus as a side to share and while it was great I would skip. Overall one of the best dining experiences we had ever not just in Nashville!

We came into the Square Cafe in between their shifts at about 3pm. We didn’t realize they were closed but they still let us stay and have our drink anyway. Thank you to the employees for being so kind and personable!

Made reservations for dinner before a concert. Easy location to walk to from parking. Very nice, modern and clean restaurant. We were immediately seated and able to order drinks. Solid wine collection and good local craft beers (Bearded Iris - IPA). The service was great. Amy T was engaging, funny and took great care of us. Good came out staggered, as requested, and we never had an empty glass. The food was FANTASTIC!! Cauliflower is a MUST have. The bruschetta was great; shrimp was fresh. The charcuterie board was beautiful and full of great flavors & sauces. The plum sauce with salami was my favorite. I don’t think the wife was able to try any; at it all! Will be back next time we venture to Nash proper.

During our visit to Nashville, my responsibility was to choose an upscale dinner destination. I was drawn to the eclectic menu at Etch. Everyone in the group rated it a 10! Their use of seasonings and seemingly discordant ingredients was outstanding! I had the scallops with a side of Brussels sprouts and couldn't have been more satisfied. The atmosphere was relaxed and cordial. Our server was engaging, helpful, and knowledgeable. A great experience I would recommend to anyone!

We had an incredible time celebrating my mother’s birthday here. Our server, Philip, was spot on with every recommendation, not to mention very amiable and helpful with every question we had. It was probably the best food we’ve ever had, and our service was a nice cherry on top on of the whole experience. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Wonderful meal! Make a reservation. The venue is small and popular. Was able to get counter seating for 2 on short notice. Was worried about counter seats but instead was very happy we were seated there. Right in front of the kitchen and prep areas we were able to observe everyone preparing and cooking… it was like a show and dinner! ( and it wasn’t loud or hot from being so close to the kitchen). Elevated and upscale. Good snd beverages all had distinct subtle flavors that blended well. A party for my tastebuds! Tried the roasted cauliflower; very good. The hit were the sauces and spreads that accompanied it. Main course I had the pork chop. Large portion, great presentation, full of flavor….. I ate every bit. The person I was with got the chicken. Same….good portion size, presentation, and flavors! Valet parking available.

Never had a chance to eat here before, but it was so worth the wait! Incredible service, dishes delectable, and well presented. Came in for lunch, no reservations, and were quickly seated at a quiet table for two by the friendly host. Our waiter, Carter, was an informative and attentive server. We decided to forgo appetizers since we are local and had already planned dinner (sorry, too much info), and hit drinks first. The smoked old fashion was delicious and my husband decided on a locally brewed beer on tap. Lunch entrees consisted of the cornmeal catfish and the Argentinian Filet Tips, Excellent Choices!!!! There wasn't much left on our plates by the time we were done. The catfish was light and flavorful with sweet citrus/honey flavors. My tenderloin was cooked and seared beautifully. The tips were served with amazing sauces on the plate along with fried potatoes, something I couldn't explain, but delicious. Lastly we opted to share the almond cake. Another winner! We are now signed up with their rewards program and already planning our next downtown visit for lunch. Thank you Etch for the wonderful lunch 😋

If you are looking for some fine dining in downtown Nashville this a must! A few friends and I had dinner here last week. Top notch restaurant, we had no reservations but they still accommodate us quickly. The bar tender John run his bar and super served us at the same time. I love a waiter who loves food and serving and John was excellent, he knew the dishes and what to wine to pair a real professional. Etch has a really nice atmosphere and the food is great. I had the venison, hot potato salad and fried brussel sprouts. All delicious, there were 5 of us so we had a number of items off the menu and everything was great. If you want a dinning experience this is a top shelf spot. It's not a cheap place to eat but for the level of dinning you are getting I thinks it's well priced. I will be back!!

Every single thing we got was delicious. The star of the show was the "From the Sea" special with salmon. My husband got the scallops and they were perfectly cooked. Fried Brussel sprouts were outstanding. Our cocktails were excellent. We made room for the "Ice cream sundae" for dessert and it was delicious and light, perfect for after a big meal. Service was excellent as well. Our waitress was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. Highly recommended!

Had a larger group that I tried to make dinner reservations for and was too late to book them, so my wife and I decided to make lunch reservations the following day just for ourselves. So very glad we did. Service was impeccable, all the food was well prepared, flavorful, and just the right size. We had the roasted cauliflower and all the sauces that came with it were amazing. The smoke truffle pea puree was astounding. The half size Mediterranean salad my wife had was incredibly flavorful and we appreciated that they come in half sizes. The Korean chicken sandwich I had was perfectly seasoned and well balanced with the additional toppings and flavorings on the sandwich. The old fashioned cocktail I had was well mixed and priced well. The original and completely in house made sundae at the end of the meal was original, and delicious. Can't recommend etch high enough.

Sat at the bar for my boyfriend's birthday. They gave him a birthday card from the staff which was cute. We started out with the Beef Carpaccio, split the Pork Chop since we were planning on hitting up another restaurant late-night, and had a nice bottle of red. Everything was perfect! Our server was amazing. Management was also thorough in making sure there was no cross contamination due to my boyfriend's shellfish allergy. The Pavlova we had for dessert was absolutely divine! I really appreciate chefs that are creative with their recipes but not so creative that the flavors clash. Beautiful restaurant, great staff, amazing food!!! This place is legit!

Pork belly was tender and juicy. Tacos were a little salty for me. Lamb meatballs were good, but I wish they had more flavors. The wrap for wagyu dumplings were quite thick. The sliders were dry and salty (least favorite dish). Prices for this place were slightly higher than what I think it should be, but not too bad. The staff were friendly. Managers came to check on us a couple of times to make sure everything is good.

I have never been to a restaurant like this so I wasn't sure what to expect but I wanted to try something different for my birthday and this place did NOT disappoint!!!! I love scallops and was open to trying the lamb...but went with my waitress's recommendation of the scallops and OH MY GOD. While I may not have the most sophisticated pallet nor was I super familiar with some of the ingredients (confit leeks??), I decided to branch out and I think I've ruined eating out at "normal" restaurants from now on. I ate the meal so slow because it tasted amazing and I truly wanted to enjoy every bite. In all honesty, the rissoto was the highlight of the dish imo, but everything was phenomenal. I'm so happy!! I also love how elevated the atmosphere was....it's just a totally different experience than anything I've had.

I just love how chefs put unusual ingredients together to make an extraordinary dish! We ordered the cauliflower and I get this appetizer every time because it is sooo good! We then split the venison dish and the flavors and textures were a party in my mouth! We also split a side of Brussels and they were tasty and had a bit of a kick! recommend

First time eating here passing through in a road trip and the menu is diverse with some good options for the kids (smoothies and geeek yogurt with granola and fruit). The wife and I got a wrap and sandwich respectively and they were delicious. I also tried the spinach mango smoothie which hit the spot. Their iced mocha was a perfect dessert. High praise to the friendly and patient staff as the place was mobbed with weekend travelers.

We were both very happy and loved every bite. I'm usually an order the scallops because I know I'll like them kinda person but I really enjoyed the venison. Amazing food, excellent service! Highly recommend for a family friendly lunch while in Nashville in a nice place. My favorite dish was the duck foie gras. I guess the minor complaint that I have is that the owners/managers have made the place innovative and artistic but the food lacks the warmth and comfort that more genuine cuisine offers.

Excellent service, appetizers, entrées, and cocktails. Started off with bread and butter—warm and crispy. Then, moved on to the seafood bruschetta. Our entrées were the meatballs for me, the scallops for her, and brussels on the side. PLENTY of food! And everything was excellent. Very rich, a little salty, but certainly delicious!

Delicious food. We had the roasted cauliflower as an appetizer. Enjoyed the sauces prepared with it. Very good, but not the highlight of the meal. For the main course, I had the veal and shitake meatballs, my wife had the scallops. Both were delicious. I think the meatballs were slightly better. Banana sundae was also excellent. A definite return visit is in order next time I'm in the area.

We haven't gone in years - whenever we were seated we found the food and service to be outstanding. But whenever we went to just stand at the bar for a drink or glass of wine, the bartender I always found distant and quite frankly kind of rude. And it was always the same tender. He seemed very attentive to his favorites or groups of women, but for us it was always liked pulling teeth just to get him to take our order. And I'm talking many times of visiting. Very disappointing.

Incredible food and service. Great seafood offerings. The server was more than helpful regarding vegan options and took a lot of initiative to discover more where the menu may not have been so obvious. Definitely returning. The mussels were my favorite. The bread is super-fresh and so delicious.

Overall a nice uality dining experience. But the server forgot a few things for my meal and also for my wife’s meal. We also had to send back her salad as we asked for only a very little dressing and it was sopping wet with ranch. However, they did fix it right away without complaint. The food was super high quality and the ambiance was quite pleasant. Typical issues for any restaurant really, but overall a must try if you love a nice filet.

Phenomenal dining experience! Went here for our anniversary and had absolutely amazing food and service. The decor is peaceful and good for a conversation and the meal was some of the best food we’ve each had in years. Can’t wait to return and try something else!

Great place with great food! We came to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Great service and fantastic food!! Definitely an unusual dishes and flavors! I have had From The Sea - Corvina. It was delicious! It was a little spicy but very juicy food and great balanced! Dessert was great as well! Also, Etch has complimentary valet parking. Definitely will be back!

If I could give more stars I would. Had incredible lunch, dinner, dessert, and drinks. The charcuterie board is out of this world!! Everything we had was incredible but I must say the lamb chops were the best I've ever had. Between the food, drinks, and environment, this is probably the best restaurant I've ever been to!!!

This was the grand finale place to eat in Nashville and oh was it just that. I have previously gone tk the sister restaurant and knew I needed tk check this place out! I will give you a warning, I booked a month in advance for this, but it was well worth it. Atmosphere: Wow, what a beautiful, contemporary place. I love being able to see the kitchen in restaurants, plus, the dining room was great too. Service: They were so amazing, seriously. Not only were they so so sweet from start to finish, but our server was so sweet. She went above and beyond to give us recommendations and make sure we were taken care of. Food: I can’t describe the type of food we got here because it was so good. Roasted cauliflower- (3/5) this was the only dish I wasn’t super crazy about. The cauliflower didn’t seemed cooked all the way through, however, the purées on the plate were great! Lamb Chops- (5/5)Whatever you do, get this. It’s so so good. They cooked it so so well and everything paired so well with each other Almond Cake- (4/5) Now, I will say, I was a bit disappointed since they just changed the menu and no longer have the strawberry cheesecake (p.s. i would do anything for that recipe)! We settled with the almond cake for my friends birthday and it wasn’t my favorite, but was still very good! My friends enjoyed their dishes as well, but I was too busy eating mine to try theirs haha. Drinks: we got a ton of different drinks throughout the night and every single one was better than the last. I got a Topaz one based on the recommendation from the waitress and it was honestly my favorite drink of the night! The chai was good too! Overall, this was by far one of our favorite places that we visited in Nashville and hopefully can come back soon!

Let me start by saying am a major major foodie, and Etch is absolutely phenomenal!! We came her for dinner, and we needed to come again so we came for lunch. Every bite we took was better than the next. We tried the lamb chops, cheese board, steak carpaccio, octopus and steak bruschetta, beef tenderloin, Indian chicken, jerk shrimp... Omg, everything was to die for. Etch is a must taste restaurant!!!!

Along with a place like Bastion, this is a can't miss restaurant in Nashville. The service, food, and ambiance are all top notch. Appetizer not to miss? Roasted Cauliflower - honestly so much better than it should be! Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely outstanding meal. Lovely ambience. Wonderful service. Incredible and perfectly prepared food. Didn’t take a photo of it, but the roasted cauliflower with 3 sauces was amazing. The venison was perfectly cooked with wonderful sauces and sides and the mahi mahi was the catch from the sea. The desserts were also fabulous. The pavlova with poached pear and cranberry was light and the perfect mix of sweet and tart, while the mocha bar was rich and dense and luscious. Really a lovely evening.

Etch has always been our safe pick for taking family and friends out that have not been to Nashville. Between all of us, we had the: Filet, Venison, Chef's Choice (Salmon), and the Pork. All of it was amazing and we would go again, as always. The wait staff was polite and knowledgeable as well.

Good food but pricey. Our group loved the pulled pork sandwich and the charred broccolini, but the Mediterranean salad was a bit disappointing. Based on the ingredient list, one would expect a very hearty salad, but it is mostly arugula with scant toppings. Staff was attentive and carefully carried out special dietary requests. A side note - they have the most flavorful lines I've ever tasted. @anatomy_of_adventure

It was our last day in Nashville and it was my girlfriend’s birthday. The server was amazing and we got a great table with outside view. The place is very warm and great. The food was eclectic indeed and so many new flavors to try on! We also got a special dessert on the occasion. I would have loved to give 5 stars but we did have a bad experience. The restaurant offers free valet, which actually runs independently by a different organization. While we we’re having dinner, the hotel manger informed us that the valet broke our car keys ( key and fob got separated and the fob broke). We were given valet contact but no one responded. The car was not starting with the broken key and we were walked to the parking lot by hotel manager. He gave us contact for Pick a Lock service who came and made new key. Even after reaching out, the valet service says that it was not their fault and they are not liable, which was very absurd. I have used the keys for last 3 years and never once broke them. This delayed our plans and caused us a lot of inconvenience. Thus, if you want to go to the restaurant, its a great one! But please don’t use the valet, because they seem to be unreliable.

We reserved counter seats for our wedding anniversary. They had a card and champagne ready for us when we got there. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly and welcoming and made our anniversary special. We will definitely be back anytime we are in Nashville. We may even have to make a special trip!

Service was 5 stars and amazing, but food was 3.5 at best. I would rate 5 stars for the mussels appetizer dish. It was absolutely killer!! Otherwise, the bruschetta, scallops entree and Brussels sprouts just missed the mark... Presentation and lack of flavor balance (super heavy) didn’t reflect the price point. Friend who ordered entree said it was excellent and the meat was melt in your mouth. Good to try once, but wouldn’t come back.

Been a couple of times years ago before Covid. Loved it then when they had the butter tasting. Had to come back as it was one of our favorite restaurants. Server was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Started with gluten free bread which was really good. However the entrees were just ok. I had the steak and my wife had the scallops. Not as flavorful as they could be. The chai ice cream was good though. Not sure if we would go back.

Food and atmosphere were great. It was a very fast service though, not a wine and dine experience I was expecting. We were seated, appetizers and main course ate in 30 minutes. Guess that's good for some.

This place was recommended by everyone. I thought it was good but not amazing. Service had great southern hospitality. Atmosphere was ok. Ordered Caesar salad which was loaded with garlic and overdressed. Pork chop was very tender but a bit too salty. Ice cream sundae was good but wish it had hot fudge. Overall good not great.

This is a top-notch restaurant with service the way fine dining used to be. The food and cocktails were exquisite, and the service was exemplary. Though we had a slight issue with a gluten-free dish, the staff was accommodating and were able to resolve it immediately. The Etch salad was so delicious and well balanced with the ingredients and dressing. We all ordered the scallops, and the preparation, cooking, and flavors were all perfection. I look forward to returning and exploring more of the menu items.
