What a nice sewing center with a good selection of high quality quilting fabrics! They have a nice selection of widebacks. Their sewing machine selection is very nice, ranging from super rare featherweights in superb condition, to modern fancy embroidery machines and longarm systems. They also do repairs. I sure enjoyed my visit with Paula, who is a gracious woman, a real blessing to me! They are professional, well organized, friendly, knowledgeable, and go the extra mile for their customers. You can really tell they love what they are doing! This shop is well lit,easy access, has great parking out front. They have a wonderful selection of threads, notions, patterns and have lovely samples on display. Well worth the trip, highly recommended!

My wife brought in a older singer sewing machine for repair. The repair man, Loren, was so knowable and kind, he generally wants to teach people about the machines and how to maintain them. My Mother in law is planning on visiting him for her old machine, but his wife, Paula was quite rude. When we went to picked up our machine, my wife wanted to pick up a few sewing thingys. As Loren was explaining what he did, Paula ask me to pay right then cuz “I’m busy with customers”. That kind of put a stop to my wife spending more money there. Repairs 100% recommend Sewing supplies 50-85% guess it depends on who you are.

I began searching for sewing lessons in the Sioux City area and decided to stop into the Tristate Sewing & Quilting store. I did not have sewing experience prior to coming to Tristate. I walked into the store and explained to Paula what my interests were. Paula was extremely knowledgable and helpful. She recommended a wonderful Pfaff sewing machine for me to begin my sewing journey and I love it! After purchasing my machine, I began lessons with Paula. So far we have made coasters, hair scrunchies, an infinity scarf and a pillowcase. I highly recommended Tristate Sewing & Quilting for sewing lessons, sewing machines & all other sewing necessities.

I had not used my Singer sewing machine for a while– – And did not recall when I purchased this singer from Tri-state sewing and quilting. Found out I purchased it almost 5 years ago and it did need cleaning. I also continue to struggle with learning to use the automatic threader. Tri-state staff were able to complete the work within a few days, and spend adequate time with me in their store so that I could definitely use the automatic needle threader. I highly recommend this business as friendly and knowledgeable!

I always take my sewing machines to Tristate for repair and cleaning. The prices are fair and Loren and Paula know exactly what to do. They are efficient and generally get my machines running again before the promised date. I enjoy the shop it’s full of interesting and beautiful work, sewing quilting, classes and information! Loren is never too busy to answer questions and Paula is a skilled quilter, seamstress and teacher

I generally take care of all my oiling and basic machine maintenance. But after I did what I could and it continued to make the same awful sound and the hand wheel didn't turn as easily as it had, I called Tri-State Sew & Vac. Several of my friends have bought machines there and recommended them. I was able to get in the next day and had my machine back in several more. Their service was wonderful. No more clackity clacking and smoother sewing than I ever remember. I now too recommend this business!

They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and take the time to explain everything to you. Paula listened to what my needs were and matched me up to the perfect machine. Loren is very good at keeping it running for me. Excellent service!

Paula was very helpful when I first walked in the door with my machine to be repaired. She asked many questions to let Loren know how to go about repairing it. She also gave me advise as to what she has found to be the best piecing quilting thread which I did appreciate. When I picked up my machine Loren was there. He helped me out with his advise as to what machine I might be trading my current machine in for. Paula does such beautiful quilting work. I hope to spend more time there the next time I go.
