Consistently amazing elevated Italian comfort food! I rarely order salads in general but their grape arugula salad is one of the best I’ve ever had. The focaccia bread appetizer is baked in-house and comes with tasty fixings on the side. Pizzas and pastas are always fresh, even when delivered. I’m also a fan of the tiramisu and gelato for dessert when dining in. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate and remember food allergies and dietary restrictions, so perfect spot for any group!

We came for lunch and had a great time! Their pizza was incredible and the drinks were definitely well made. Even the space was perfectly casual-elegant with impeccable service. I could see this becoming a fancier spot for dinner. Our small selection of food blew us away and we’ll definitely be back to try more.

Pizza was good. Pasta was good but the sauce "Casarecce" was too salty. We split pastas in half. The meatballs were dry. Nobody offered a children's menu until I asked. No one adds water, the waitress asked the taste of the pasta before I tried it. After that, as I tried, I could not find the waitress for 8 minutes. This time we ordered a little, but this does not mean that I should receive less service. Of course I leave zero tips. P.S. for G.M. SARAH. Regarding my review, I said everything, and I don’t need to call you, I have nothing to add.

Highly recommend this Italian restaurant. Service was outstanding -- especially since these days it's spotty. The food was excellent. Hand the focaccia with the whipped ricotta -- to die for! Had the margarita pizza (thin crust) -- especially good and had the rigatoni ragu with sausage -- spot on. 😊

I had such an exceptional experience during my visit. I can’t think of very many times when a restaurant’s service has been the wow factor for me. I had a corner seat so I was able to see the entire floor and I was so impressed with how efficiently and smoothly the entire staff worked to attend all its diners. It is a well oiled machine! My waiter and bus staff were friendly & welcoming and food came out quickly. Every single bite was phenomenal. One of my most delicious meals in recent memory. Three different people told me goodbye and thanked me for coming in on my walk to the door, including wait staff who weren’t assigned to my table as well as managers. Wow! Hoping to return soon.

We were celebrating our anniversary, and Italian food was an option. After some research, we figured Coda would be a winner! What I can say is that the staff would customize your dining experience. For example, I mentioned it the occasion when making reservations on their website. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess and presented with the menu with our names on it. That was a cute touch. Our server was sweet and noticeable. Speaking of noticeable, I saw something VERY interesting. After our menus were returned to the hostess, I literally saw her rip it in half and trash it. Granted, they can not use it again. They should have let use keep it. I didn't like the energy behind her smile while trashing it either. Let's move on! The food was okay. Nothing special. I would say the ambiance is cute.

I’m glad this place is down the street from where I live! They do great cocktails (especially Negronis) and have a nice wine list. There’s something for everyone. Star of the show is their Amari selection. Their food is great and the menu is versatile. I always find myself really liking their trad. dishes like antipasti and entrees. Their pizza is pretty good and focaccia is nice. Nice and attentive waitstaff. It’s a perfect spot to be on a SLOW night like Monday or Tuesday. It gets very very hectic and busy on weekends.

Coda di Volpe in Chicago offers a delightful Italian dining experience, highlighted by its delicious food and excellent service. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance that set the tone for a wonderful meal. The standout dishes of my visit were undoubtedly the pizza and the pasta special. The pizza, with its perfectly charred crust, was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. Topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients, each slice was a testament to the authenticity of Italian cuisine that Coda di Volpe prides itself on. The pasta special was equally impressive. It was expertly cooked to al dente perfection, with a sauce that was both rich and nuanced, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs. What truly elevated the dining experience was the exceptional service. The wait staff were not only friendly but also incredibly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of the meal was to our satisfaction. Their recommendations were spot on, adding to the enjoyment of the meal. Overall, Coda di Volpe stands out as a gem in Chicago's culinary scene. The combination of delicious, authentic Italian cuisine and top-notch service makes it a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The pizza and pasta special, in particular, are dishes that should not be missed.

The strawberry budino is great! I'll try something other than pizza next time. Didn't even eat the crust. Underwhelmed by everything except dessert. Outdoor seating.

had a great experience at coda di volpe! we sat outside on the patio and really enjoyed the food and ambiance. we had the tuna appetizer and it was delish! also enjoyed the branzino, ragu pasta, and spicy sausage pizza. the pizza is served with scissors to use for cutting it into slices which i think is unique. would definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends!

Amazing gluten free options - pasta & focaccia. Ask for the chili oil!! Great service & outdoor patio was beautiful for a warm fall evening.

We’ve walked by Coda di Volpe for years, however we’ve never stopped in for dinner. Friday night we did and we found our new go-to Italian restaurant! The minute we walked in the door we were greeted by smiling faces at the host stand and immediately seated. As we walked to our table we commented just how warm and welcoming the decor and lighting felt. Our server Emma immediately greeted us with a big smile and gave us the rundown of the menu etc. Within minutes we had our drinks and the delicious Pork & Beef Meatballs. Shortly after the reservation manager Walker stopped by our table and greeted us making sure our table was perfect. He was so kind and has a very welcoming personality! Throughout the evening, we had several servers and other staff walk by and say hello. EVERYONE was so friendly and it was evident they love working at Coda. Our entrees Rigatoni Con Ragu and Spicy Mafaldine Di Granchio were some of the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had! The texture, flavor and temperature were perfect. We ended the night with the Hazelnut Caramel. Do not make the same mistake we made by waiting so many years to try Coda out! I guarantee you will walk out of there already planning your next visit. Thanks to all of the staff for making our night perfect!
