Probably the third time I have been here. Beautiful place. Perpetual adoration. Holy water fountain that you can fill whatever containers up to the brim! Satan get behind me!!!! 😂. They were polishing the doors when we were there, beautiful place. Priest offered to bless any bracelets coming necklaces, items at the end of daily Mass (Friday starts at 11:30). Great gift shop, you can leave a donation there if you don't have money to put in the collection plate. Although no mariachis this time, it was very awesome to spend an hour with our Lord!

I go every month! The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful! I walk the perimeter saying my rosary. I go inside the magnificent church and sometimes I get to hear the choir or they will play hymns…the room of candles is exquisite and something to be seen! It is such an overall special place. I go to keep myself grounded and keep perspective. I go to remind myself that there are things larger than myself. I go to connect to my family who have gone on - I feel so close to them here. I luv the drive from San Antonio. I’ve been doing this for years, just as my parents did. It is a marvelous little pilgrimage that I cannot live without. I hope you enjoy it also. The gift shop is something to see also and it is where I purchase my candles & you can purchase your containers for holy water here or just bring your own- the fountain is right outside the front door. ❤️❤️❤️

Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle is a wonderful shrine to come and worship and leave all your worries behind. You can feel the inspiration and tranquility as you enter. However, my visit yesterday was so my cousin Antonio Cruz from San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato (Mexico) could visit the shrine and Our Lovely Lady of San Juan and give her thanks for the many blessings. I highly recommend that if you are in The Valley you stop by and visit. Doesn't matter how f you are Catholic or not. I know you will enjoy the experience

I grew up in Brownsville but my mom would make sure to bring us all to San Juan for mass every Sunday. Now I live in Dallas but I make sure I visit every time I come. Love the mass and el mariachi singing. The gift shop it's a good size to find any religion artifact you want as a gift or for yourself. They also have a CAFE & a HOTEL most people don't know about only if your from around. The Cafeteria service a different good home made meal for a very economical price as well for the the Hotel.

Spiritually healing for one’s self and loved ones. For years we have made the trek to the Basilica Of Our Lady of San Juan to light candles and pray for loved ones in need. With modern technology we send photos so loved ones know we are thinking of them. It is a small act of love to be passed down through generations. The Basilica is beautifully adorned and the grounds are well kept.

I dearly 💕 all the Saints in this church. I'm a believer of God Our Father and Jesus Christ his only begotten Son & the Holy Spirit. I Love the stories that are told to us by Father Juan Nicolas and when everyone rises to clap in the Love that is shared by the congregation is AWESOME. I enjoy the stroll of the passage of Our Jesus Christ sacrifice for our sins, this is the most beautiful sight that we can teach our Young generations that all the Love that GOD Our Father has for us. Thank you also for the gift shop we enjoy looking for items that we need in our every day life. Thank You to all of the priest and people involved in this church, BLESSINGS to everyone. I love you ALL

Church every day every hour, a mariachi band, confession going on the whole time it seem like, but a long slow line 🙃. after every mass throughout the day the priest blesses anything you bring up lots of people but it goes by fast, there is a room of saints you can pray to, a room you can light up small candles that are there for $2 or you can bring your own candle & there is a spot there for that too they have a shop where you can buy saints, rosary’s, books, candles, empty bottles 4oz - 1 gal. To fill up at church of course no charge for Holly water.

It's so beautiful here. I love the church and the grounds are always neat and green and pretty! Even though it was still kind of cold everything was a lush green. We went early March 2022, drove in from San Antonio and were able to attend the 3:00 pm Mass. It was very beautiful with fantastic Mariachis that sounded like Angels singing. Afterward we enjoyed visiting all the different alters filled with personal items and gifts for Our Lady. We enjoyed leaving our prayer requests and going to the gift shop and of course getting Holy Water to bring home. Brought our Grand daughter with by us this time and she really enjoyed everything as well.

I've been coming here since I was little. My grandmother is very catholic and she had been going before we were born. Since she passed away almost 8yrs ago, I felt it was about time I brought my kids and take them to a special place that ment alot to her.

It's so beautiful here, the church and the grounds are always clean and very green. Be it whatever weather, the plants and greenery is a lush green. We went this past weekend and it was very beautiful experience. After the Church we enjoyed visiting all the different alters filled with personal items and gifts for "Our Lady." We enjoyed visiting the gift shop, here you can also purchase small containers or cartons to get Holy Water to bring home. Everyone is super friendly and it's big grounds, a lot of parking spaces and a lot to see.

Beautiful shrine in the deep south! Great priests, beautiful music, and awe-striking interior and garden trails. Masses in Spanish, English, and bilingual. More info by visiting their website for confession and mass times as well as religious callings info. Even if your not of the catholic faith, it's a beautiful place to visit to learn and appreciate the history of the Basilica and its structure. There's also a gift shop on site. I recommend for any outside visitors to make this a stop during their travels.

It's a beautiful shrine, my Mom loves to come here. I go there for mass and to clear my head when I'm stressed. The pathway with the statues is a must see as well as the mural in the back that faces the expressway.

I am thankful for the opportunity to visit it and feel the blessing to see many of us that go with so many necessities. As I light a candle in the candle place, I see such faith many of us visitors have in our Lady of San Juan and her image is Astonishingly holy beautiful! The miracle room is another holy and blessed place with many statutes of miraculous Saints. I am able to get holy water from their fountains. The Basilica is huge and very pretty!

Different experience every time I come here. You are able to bring your own candles and water containers for holy water and bouquet of flowers as well. Bilingual mass on Sunday is the best. Don't forget to bring your items to get blessed at the end of service.

Very beautiful service. We got there a little late but we were able to enjoy the mass. To be honest I was a bit out of it as i was morning the death of my service dog. But from what I remember it was beautiful and comforting. My family was lost as they were not raised the Catholic ways. Which now I'm going to be going back to church to find comfort. I'm from out of town so it's not a church I will visit often but everyone was very kind and friendly.

I fell in love with the Basilica on my very 1st visit. My higher power brought me there, and I'm so grateful. My 1st candle in the candle room led to another the following Saturday. I love the free holy water fountain outside. I now have my holy water on my bed stand for prayer.

Beautiful church; the mass I went to Mother's Day mass that had a Mariachi choir, so awesome! There is a big gift shop, they sold small flower arrangements at an affordable price. The campus also has a small cafe that sells hot & cold sandwiches, breakfast tacos, menudo. That hit the spot!🙂
