I
started
Invisalign
and
paid
in
advance
which
I
was
told
by
Dr.
Black
included
the
Invisalign
trays,
the
removal
of
the
old
fixed
retainer
and
the
installation
of
the
new
fixed
retainer.
I
was
told
this
process
would
take
12
weeks
and
it
ended
up
being
a
year.
I
religiously
wore
the
trays
and
only
took
them
out
to
eat
and
drink
like
instructed,
and
brushed
and
flossed
after
every
meal,
and
used
mouthwash.
At
the
1
year
mark
I
was
told
I
now
have
a
cavity
which
was
clearly
caused
from
the
Invisalign.
I
tried
being
patient
and
understanding
allowing
room
for
error.
Towards
the
end
Dr.
Black
told
me
she
doesn’t
work
miracles
and
I
was
being
unrealistic
with
my
expectations.
I
already
had
braces
in
the
past
so
my
teeth
were
already
pretty
straight
with
no
gaps.
I
didn’t
appreciate
being
treated
like
I
was
being
unreasonable.
I’ve
been
coming
here
for
over
30
years
and
never
complained.
All
I
wanted
was
to
straighten
two
teeth
that
were
slightly
crooked
and
to
close
a
hairline
gap
the
Invisalign
caused,
I
don’t
see
how
that’s
“working
miracles.”
Also,
Dr.
Black’s
response
to
my
cavity
was
“you’re
lucky,
I’ve
seen
people
go
through
Invisalign
who
didn’t
take
care
of
it
end
up
with
a
cavity
in
every
tooth.!!”
I
was
in
total
shock
at
this
comment
and
was
never
told
this
was
a
risk
even
with
proper
hygiene.
She
also
claimed
she’s
never
seen
someone
go
through
this
many
refinements,
meanwhile
2
other
people
in
the
office
claimed
a
similar
thing
happened
to
them.
When
I
talked
to
Dr.
Turnwald
about
this
he
claims
he
hasn’t
seen
it,
or
it’s
not
common
but
also
not
unheard
of
for
Invisalign
to
cause
cavities.
Clearly
there
are
inconsistencies
in
what
I’m
being
told.
He
agreed
to
cover
the
filling
for
me,
I
also
told
him
I
now
want
the
removable
retainer
as
well
and
that
I
understood
there
might
be
an
extra
cost.
He
told
me
no,
the
removable
retainer
is
included
with
Invisalign.
He
also
said
he
doesn’t
mind
covering
it
and
the
filling
and
also
offered
to
do
some
type
of
filling
to
close
the
space
I
still
didn’t
like,
which
I
didn’t
end
up
doing.
I
thanked
him
and
told
him
I
appreciated
it.
About
a
month
or
two
later
they
tried
sending
me
a
bill
for
the
retainer.
I
had
to
fight
it
saying
I
already
paid
upfront.
Dr.
Turnwald
left
the
front
desk
a
note
saying
I
understood
there
would
be
an
additional
cost.
I
said
yes
I
said
that
initially
before
I
found
out
it’s
supposed
to
be
included.
Finally
he
agreed
to
waive
the
fee.
About
a
month
later
the
top
wire
started
falling
apart.
I
came
in
to
get
it
fixed
which
nobody
told
me
I
was
supposed
to
bring
my
retainer
which
in
response
Dr.
Black
just
shrugged.
I
asked
her
if
it’ll
hold
and
she
said
she
didn’t
know.
I
went
to
another
hygienist
because
Leah
wasn’t
available.
The
other
one
was
rough
and
in
a
big
hurry.
Dr.
Black
then
fixed
the
wire.
6
hours
later
it
fell
apart
again
and
worse
than
before.
Now
I’ve
lost
all
trust
and
patience
and
had
to
pay
and
make
an
emergency
appointment
with
another
dentist
somewhere
else
to
fix
it.
The
new
place
told
me
I
need
to
get
in
asap
because
I
can’t
eat
like
that,
she
also
said
this
could
have
happened
because
they
used
expired
product
or
didn’t
keep
up
with
the
batteries
in
the
light
they
use
to
cure
it.
She
also
said
“you
didn’t
pay
for
the
wire
did
you?”She
said
both
retainers
are
supposed
to
be
included
with
the
price
of
Invisalign.
I
couldn’t
believe
this
is
how
a
lifetime
customer
would
be
treated.
Now
today
a
few
weeks
later,
the
bottom
wire
came
off
2
of
the
teeth!!!
So
now
for
the
3rd
time
in
a
month
I
have
to
make
an
emergency
appointment
and
2nd
time
pay
someone
else
to
fix
it.
It’s
a
Friday
night
the
week
before
Thanksgiving
and
it’s
so
bad
I
can’t
even
wear
my
retainer
and
it’s
digging
into
my
gums.
I
have
to
eat
soft
food
and
deal
with
this
until
Monday.
I’m
definitely
never
coming
back.
