Food was so good and the store manager was super nice and friendly! We tried paneer tikka masala(medium), butter chicken(mild) with mango lassi and garlic naan. All are 10 out of 10! Glad to find a good authentic Indian food in a walkable distance from campus! Must try :)

Saffron Indian Cafe is inviting and cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests to relax and savor their dining experience. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. Most importantly, the food is delicious and the spice has the right amount of kick if that is what you seek in your meal. I absolutely LOVED the Chicken Chettinad Sauce, and the Chicken Korma, I recommend both. Do keep in mind that the venue is a bit smaller. All though there is seating, it's more of a pick up and go environment.

I enjoyed my trip to Saffron. My friends and I have visited most of the Indian restaurants around town and this was really good. I tried the Chicken 65 and my friend had the Chicken Masala. Both had a good amount of spice and flavor. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. 😃 I’m looking forward to visiting them again.

Got the veggie express combo, which had great flavor, spice, and a nice variety of items. It was also a good value with a lot of food for 11.99

Food has a lot a flavor. Compares favorably to other Indian restaurants in the area. We had chicken vindaloo, spicy, and it delivered. Everyone loved the grilled baingan bharta we ordered. It was something we don't see often at other places. The lunch box combo we ordered came out of the kitchen very quickly and was also very good.

We ordered the Gobi 65 and Chicken Vindaloo. Both were absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The service was great and the food came out quickly. So glad this is in the area and I will be returning soon!

Pretty good new Indian place that opened up off Erwin road cross from Duke. The food was solid and I appreciated that its cooked fresh for each order. The paneer was a little rubbery, but the aloo gobi was fantastic. medium was the perfect spice level for me, very pleasant. It was definitely on the pricey side at $25 for an entree and appetizer. You can eat probably more at the Indian place in the duke student union for about half the price. Also I did dine in but received take out containers, and it was a shame to have to throw it all out. I'll be back, solid healthier dining option near the duke research buildings.
