The Phoenix Way is an incredibly positive and safe martial arts school that I have been training at for 18 years. The camaraderie between training partners is superb, the technique and conditioning taught in each class is engaging and knowledgable, and the Phoenix community is welcoming and encouraging for each individual to rise above. Anthony Codispoti is legendary in the fight game and is disciplined in numerous styles. I highly recommend anyone that's searching to learn a functional skill, become fit, and train with the best instructors to join The Phoenix Way!

Joining The Phoenix Way as a brand new adult karate student was one of the best things I could of done for myself. My experience so far has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to attending every class I can. The community of students and instructors are amazing!

I looked at several karate schools and picked The Phoenix Way simply because Sensei Anthony is a great role model for my son. He genuinely cares about the children and emphasizes important values such as confidence, focus and kindness. My son is learning karate and self defense and having a lot of fun in the process. Within minutes of meeting Sensei Anthony I knew I picked the right place for my 8 year old. It's like being part of a small family that makes sure to cheer each person on as they gain new skills and further develop old ones. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* 🥋

I have 3 boys (11, 9 & 7) and we have been at The Phoenix Way since 2018. I can honestly say they have learned so many skills beyond the martial arts training. It’s not just about the physical skills - they have learned a tremendous amount about mental health, respect for others, respect for themselves & social skills. Their confidence has grown, they are physical + mentally stronger because of the training and it transfers into other aspects of their lives. I’m so grateful we found Anthony and The Phoenix Way.

The Phoenix Way is a unique school for training in Karate and mixed martial arts. Shihan Anthony is a dedicated teacher who channels the strength, discipline and values of Kyokushin Karate into his students and the surrounding community. As a new student with some training in other styles, I am tremendously impressed with what is being delivered to students here. There is respect for the formality of traditional martial arts within the structure of The Phoenix Way. At the same time, there is a contemporary approach, integrating traditional kata with real world applications for self-defense. This standing, striking martial art has enormous power, cultivated from hard training and proper technique. The space is impeccably clean, organized, and fully equipped. The students here are dedicated, friendly, and very helpful to beginners. The kids here are shaped into strong leaders. Check this place out, it is the real deal!

When my dad signed me up for The Phoenix Way I was a bit nervous on how my first class would go. It ended up being great! The community and people there are so kind and welcoming and the instructors are amazing! And I met some new friends my age that I now normally talk with everyday even after class! I totally recommend joining The Phoenix Way. It's filled with great people and a amazing community. Osu!

Phoenix karate is a great experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get fit, train in martial arts, or build confidence in their abilities. I’ve been going to the Phoenix Way for 12 going on 13 years now and I wouldn’t give up that time for anything. The Phoenix community is incredibly welcoming and full of nice, well natured people. Shihan Codispoti and Omar are great teachers, always attentive and adept.

My children started training at Phoenix in 2019. Their abilities have developed tremendously over that time. What I find even more important is that the confidence they have gained has translated to other aspects of their lives. This includes academics and team sports. Shihan Codispoti and his team provide top notch instruction. What I have always admired about his program is that his students who started their training when they were my kids’ ages still come back to train even in their 20’s. I’ve always thought that this was a real testament to the relationships that Shihan Codispoti builds with his students. I can’t imagine my kids’ lives without Phoenix now. As a parent, if you’re looking for a fun, safe environment for your kids to learn a great skill and make friends, I highly recommend Phoenix. As for myself, I have always enjoyed being active; weightlifting, kettlebells, basketball, etc. When the pandemic shut everything down Shihan Codispoti invited me to train with him over Zoom. I took him up on the offer and have been training with him ever since. If you’re looking to challenge yourself physically while being with a great group of people then this a wonderful opportunity for you too.
