The pickup time for this was super quick (<5 minutes)! I got the original vegetable jianbing with some meat floss and it was so tasty - super flavorful and had amazing texture contrast with the wonton chips. We also got their lemonade which was really unique in that it had a milkier color and it tasted great as well. Really good spot for quick high-quality Chinese street food 👌

Holy cow! This place is YUMMY! We tried the fried Shrimp jianbing, egg & cheese crisp pancake, original bubble waffle & Thai iced tea. The fried shrimp jianbing was the star of the show… loved the unique texture & flavors. So fun to have new places like this in Skokie. Will definitely be back soon!

My go to breakfast item in China. This is the first Jiangbing location near me so I was hopeful. The Skokie location is brand new and very clean. I ordered the fried chicken jianbing and asked for it spicy if possible. I was impressed by the chicken, they seasoned it well. It reminded me of fried chicken cutlets I would get in Chinese food stalls. The rest was pretty standard for a jiangbing which is great and tasty. Left an outstanding impression, I'll be back. If you haven't tried a authentic jiangbing before I recommend it, and this is a great spot to try one.

Super tasty jianbing, brought me right back to my favorite breakfast item during my years in China. I would highly recommend the original veggie jianbing with extra crisp and Chinese pickled vegetables for the tang + some spicy sauce. I will be back ;)

My favorite Jianbing! I’m so glad I finally get the Jianbing (Chinese style crepe) in Chicago! Still remembered I drove to Canada one time just to have the Jianbing which disappointed me a lot! High recommended Monkey King JianBing and worth the try! With your choices of filling, the fried chicken, fried shrimp, minced pork with hot dog are so good.

Soooo good. Tried the food in their original location, and was so happy to hear they opened in Skokie! Made fresh to order, unbelievably tasty. And unique, there's nothing else around like this! I'll definitely be back.

I like this Asian pick up spot. Came here for a pick up but they also deliver. I tried the combo plate with ham & egg crispy crepe-like waffle and the crispy cracknel gave it some great texture. The medium spicy was not spicy at all but when I added some Sriracha it was perfect. It came with their own lemon drink that had a creamy texture and wasn’t too sweet, so perfect for me.

Clean and bright little shop. All counter service. No regular tables. Courteous and friendly staff. Delicious food! Not your everyday Chinese fare, but so yummy! Loved the crispy shrimp sandwich and the chocolate bubble waffles!

I saw the excellent google reviews and drove to Monkey King. You must enter a building and go up one floor on an orange staircase. Then go through a corridor, and there is a large sign for Monkey King. I was hesitant about the place because it was not easy to find. But it smelled good and looked clean. The attendant was prompt and recommended the shrimp. It was well wrapped in a cardboard container. The food had great flavor, texture full filing. I will be back for sure to try the other options.
