This is truly a hidden gem inside Vancouver Mall. The food is delicious and authentic and the people are so friendly and warm. Even though I’m not from Ukraine, I do enjoy a good cabbage roll and this were the best ones I tasted in 5 years traveling all across the USA.

Wow! I really can't say enough good things about Banderyky. I wasn't sure what to expect since it was in the food court, but this is a must-try for anyone. The food was absolutely delicious and well seasoned. It tastes like they are family recipes cooked at home, not in a mall. The owner was so sweet, friendly and helpful. We tried the varenyky, holubtsi, and both the pork and the beef pyrizhok. All are worth a try.

I would be so happy if the owners ever opened up a food truck or a restaurant outside of the mall. I usually wouldn't do a review for a food court restaurant but this place deserves praise! Everything we've had has been extremely delicious and fresh. This last time we ordered the varenyky which I highly recommend. We've also had the pyrizhok in the past which we also really enjoyed. All of the food is homemade and reminds me of the yummy food my best friend's polish mom used to make growing up.

Great food, fast friendly service. We got 3 items off the menu, and everything tasted home cooked in the best possible way. If you've never had Ukrainian food, definitely give it a try!

Delicious. What a treasure to have this right in the mall. You must have the holubtsi and banderyky. We just kept eating and mowed down another three items from the menu. 🙂

Having few options for traditional slavic food in Vancouver, our hope was high to have a new place to try. Unfortunately, this is a far cry from what Russian/Ukrainian food should be. The borscht had no beets and little flavor, the baked goods were made from frozen filo dough rather than homemade breading, the rolls tasted store bought and day old and the cherry filling was jelly and not sour cherries as is traditional - nothing even like what they display on their pictures. And to make things worse, the name of the restaurant is that of a nationalist group who are known for committing atrocities for decades. As a whole, an offense to our culture.

This might be the best food court meal I have ever had! We tried a variety of food and loved everyone! And the owners are super sweet! Can’t wait to come back. This is worth a trip to the mall for a meal even if you aren’t planning on going to the mall.

The service is great. They treat you like you are a guest in their home. I try something different most of the time I visit. If I'm in a rush I just get the chicken zupa. My whole family loves the food
