πŸ‘ It's beautiful. If you have 4 wheel drive you can get a permit to drive on the beach. Plenty of good shells can be found. Roped off areas to protect turtles and beaches. Fishing can be good at times.

FYI…the lighthouse is closed for restorations. How ever, the visitors center is open and the rangers were doing programs including the junior ranger programs. The park is well run and accessible to those with limited mobility. In fact, they have a separate bathroom that is handicap and family accessible. I always appreciate when places this because it is very difficult for be to navigate big bathrooms. This was not our first time here and we will return.

Beaches clean, not crowded. Weather is perfect in September barring a hurricane! Probably one of our favorite vacation spots!

Been doing family vacations here for 20 years. Great place for both the family and adventure enthusiast. Houses have are some of the best for the price. And the sunrises are some of the best.

One of the most quiet, peaceful beaches on the East Coast of NC! You can enjoy the beach without the annoyance of other people, their music, and just enjoy the natural views. At night, the stars are brighter than you’ve probably ever seen!
