Nice staff and great horses. Had a nice ride with friends for an hour. I would have liked to trot or run, instead of just walking, but I'm not sure how that works. I'll definitely be back to visit again and maybe get a private ride, if that's an option. There was 5 of us and we all share the same opinion.

My niece really wanted to go on a trail ride while she was visiting us this summer and I found Shadow Glen through a google search. We had a great time. All of the staff members were incredibly kind. They have animals on the farm and said we could stay for a picnic after- we will come back and do this when it is not 105 degrees outside! Our guides were great and it felt really safe for the kids.

First timers here and they made it super easy and fun! We were super nervous but they assured and made us comfortable. We did the one hour ride and it was super worth it, wish we could’ve done the two hour ride instead. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Love love it!!! Best first time experience. If you’re looking for a great first time experience, this is the place to be!!!! Kids had a great time. My nephew was a born cowboy by the end of the trip. Thanks to the staff for allowing us to borrow their horses and trails. #teamhoudini

Shadow Glen Stables is awesome! The horses are beautiful, and the trail guides and staff are very personable and so informative. During the trail ride today, we rode by Lake Natoma, along-side a lagoon, and through gorgeous nature. A special thank you to Wrangler Matt and Wrangler Mars, and all of the amazing staff that I came into contact with. This was an extra special trail ride because it was one the CA State Parks special events for CA State Parks week. I hope that this is an annual CA Stare Parks event because it was so well-orchestrated! Thank you CA State Parks for making this available!

Yesterday was my first time back to Shadow Glen in about 23 years. My sisters and I enjoyed a 2 hour trail ride with Christine our trail guide, and it was absolutely amazing! All staff are super friendly and informative. I will definitely be back again, and I will not wait another 23 years. Lol

Breathtaking experience it was, riding the horses! Will forever cherish this memory. Big show of gratitude towards the staff for their excellent and wholehearted services. Will definitely come back!

This place is Great! Our daughter has been doing lessons here for a while and has done a couple of trail rides as well. The staff is friendly, the space is fun with a bunch of wandering fowl and caged goats. The owner, Terry, is incredibly nice and knowledgable. If you want to go for a ride or learn to ride it's THE place in Sacramento.

Went for Mother's day and 1st timers and they loved it very awesome sceneries on the hour long horse ride, go with a group of people and its enjoyable
