Snug Hollow is amazing!! The landscaping, the cabins, and the food were first-rate. The best part was the host, Barbara Napier, and the staff. They treated us like we were family. They were very kind, generous, and friendly.

I need extra stars to rate this place. My sisters and 96 year old mother spent a weekend here. We rented the Cozy, a little cottage with a big porch where we sat and watched the butterflies and birds in the valley, read, and talked. We took walks through out the property. This is all lovely but it's the service and food that were standouts. The vegetarian meals were delicious and plentiful. Barbara and her team were gracious and kind. Responsive to any need we had, sending a golf cart to take my mother to breakfast. You will make some sacrifices - it's rustic and limited cell service and WiFi. But these lacks made the weekend better. I can't recommend this place enough - worth every penny.

One of the most wonderful places I have had the great fortune to visit more than once. Some of my fondest memories with my partner we made together here. P.S. Get Barbara’s cookbook! P.S.S. Buy one more room/linen spray than you think you need- it just smells that good.

Relax- Enjoy-Relax Birthday celebration. A wonderful overnight experience. Every accommodation detail was checked. The friendly professional staff made sure everything was right. My husband and I have visited Snug Hollow 7 or 8 times... we've lost count! This visit, we were thrilled to stay in the newest cabin, The Wildwood Studio. The cabin has 3 porches, in the front, back and an enclosed side porch. We had amazing views from anywhere inside and outside of the cabin. When we weren't inside the cabin, enjoying the amazing views, we were spending time on one of the many trails throughout the 300 acres of land, exploring the creek, sitting by the tranquil lake, finding our way through the labyrinth, seeing beautiful butterflies and many colorful flowers. My husband and I would definitely recommend a visit to Snug Hollow! We are looking forward to returning very soon!!

Snug hollow is exactly what you didn't know that you needed! It is a place for your soul to take refuge. There is something different at snug hollow. It's so cut off from the modern world that nothing can spoil the peace and tranquility here. Miss Barbara is a national treasure! Her smile and kindness is like a warm hug to your soul. She thinks of everything!! The beds are COMFORTABLE!! The food is INCREDIBLE!! It's beautifully decorated, imagine an applachian Martha stewart.. that's snug hollow the stuff that most people (including myself) look for in reviews, is on point.. all that is great!! So don't worry about all the details those are exceeded above and beyond! I don't know how to describe the feeling you get out there which is the most important. Everything is fresh and natural. Spring water literally comes from the sink!!! Beautiful foliage, natural herbs growing everywhere!! Also, if you are not a vegetarian, miss Barbara will have you rethinking your thoughts on the matter after eating her food... you'll want to smuggle that gravy in your hand bag!! You will definitely want to reserve dinner for at least one night for sure! It's worth every penny!!!! If I could sum it up in one phrase "Life in it's purest, most authentic, form" If you are looking for a intimate romantic getaway, need to heal, if you feel lost, a ladies get away, a family that needs to bond and heal, need somewhere to make a big decision, need a place to write a book or music, take your kids somewhere where you can bond with them and slow down bit from this fast paced world... whatever your reason for going is, GO!! But be warned when you turn off that gravel road when you leave, you won't be leaving the same as you were before you got there. ❤️

Had a wonderful time at Snug Hollow. Amazingly friendly staff and guests. Delicious food!!!!! And well tended grounds and trails. Definitely will be going back
