I was really excited to come to this location. We called ahead of time to make sure that it was okay, being that we had initially tried to donate at the location in Columbus a month ago but circumstances had changed. The person on the phone was incredibly nice, and told us to come in. I went in with a really positive attitude. The waiting area was very clean. I was told to come back in an hour because there were already new donors registering, so I left and came back. I then read through the donor information binder and filled out all of the information. I waited 2 hours. The nurse called me back, and asked when the last time I donated was. I explained to her the situation, and that whoever answered the phone told me to come in and it would be taken care of. She told me that they tell people to come in over the phone because ā€œpeople lie.ā€ She told me that she couldnā€™t do anything because Columbus ā€œdeferredā€ me, which I understand. My problem is that the Columbus location said that I couldnā€™t donate due to a couple of medications that I was on. (Those medications were NOT listed on the list that shows what medicine you canā€™t take to donate.) They didnā€™t give me any paperwork to give to my doctor or anything, which this nurse asked about. I told her they didnā€™t give me anything, they just said that I couldnā€™t donate. Iā€™m now off of the medications, which is why I was trying again. She said that she couldnā€™t do anything about it and I would have to get it resolved with Columbus. I asked her what I should tell them and she was kind of rude. Incredibly unhelpful. I understand that theyā€™re busy, but to wait two hours just to be told I have to go to another location is ridiculous. I was told I could come there. They have no respect for your time, and I hate it because I really do want to donate. They make it very difficult. Expect to most likely be frustrated.

I go to BioLife now because talecris is not very professional. They ignore you and are very rude. Every time my husband goes there they mess his arm up. I don't think they know what they're doing. BioLife pays more and they are very friendly and professional. Go BioLife!!!!!

Be sure to ask if they paying you as a new or returning customer. Even if you haven't donated in over 30 years in a different state. They say your a RETURNING customer and won't pay the full amount. šŸ˜ž

I appreciate the evolution of this center. They've sped up the intake/questionnaire process by utilizing the app, which I'm very happy about, as there were few kiosks, which were always malfunctioning, or the line to use them was long. I appreciate the cleanliness of the whole place, including the donation stations, waiting areas and bathrooms. I also appreciate the staff, as their personalities and professionalism MAKE this whole experience! I want to acknowledge Cale, Glo, Aziah, Cornelius, Aaron, Sarah, Dylan, Daschia... (and others as their names come to mind). Thank you all for being highlights of my day whenever I come to donate.

This Plasma Center is so quick and professional. I couldnā€™t have asked for a better experience. My first time charmed me into coming back three more times. I had an incredible experience with Mr. Cale. Heā€™s kind, calm, reassuring, and an absolute sweetheart. He made sure I knew what the process would be like before I went back, made sure to check on me throughout all my donations. He would make sure my machine was just right for me and my arm was comfortable. Heā€™s was comical and compassionate when I had anxiety. Thankful that he was so empathetic. He is the only reason I came back. Forever thankful to meet Mrs. T & Mrs. Ray as well. These three are a power team. This is hands down, the BEST Plasma Center that anyone could ever go to. If and when you come in, you wonā€™t regret it. Thankful for this experience.
