Went to Wendy for shockwave therapy for some knee and hip pain (I'm a runner). I wasn't sure what to expect but she has a really thorough in-take process so that she can really understand what might be going on and make sure that you're selecting the right treatments. I had 4 total sessions and was very pleasantly surprised how well the therapy helped my knee and hip. I assume some people would need more than 4 sessions depending on the injury or damage but I was super happy in 4. Plus, Wendy and her whole team are super nice and super smart. It is always a pleasure to see them. Would highly recommend for athletes having joint pain.

Before I was fortunate enough to meet Wendy Wiggs of PRP Regeneration Specialists; I was facing a Left Hip Replacement due to it being bone on bone and both knees and the other hip were painful and arthritic. I booked an appointment and made the trip to Jonesville. I was barely able to walk into her office and was using a cane. Wendy was extremely thorough and professional, suggesting that I get a Stem Cell Injection in my left hip, and Focused Shockwave Therapy in the other 3 joints. After a practically pain-free session, I walked out and I was CARRYING my cane with a huge smile. I asked Wendy how could I feel this improvement immediately and she told me the the inflammatory process had been worked on and more improvements would be coming in the following months. Wendy & her staff are a first rate professional & knowledgeable healthcare team who are absolutely dedicated to helping & caring for patients. Notwithstanding, when one walks through their door, one is met with sincere friendliness. An accident 12+ years ago put my right side in torsion; beginning a journey of revolving doors of doctors, physical therapist, MRI’s, X-rays, counseling, psychologist, pain meds, acupuncture, dry needling, ASTYM, massage, IASTM, Class 4 Laser, Chinese Cupping et al. A surgery early 2018, due to accumulated scar tissue & muscle atrophy required to release & retract the right side piriformis tendon, a trochanteric bursectomy & right hip sciatic neurolysis. This brought some relief but deep unexplained pain persisted; especially walking. In 2019 discovered regenerative procedures of prolotherapy, PRP, & stem cells. However, this path was difficult as numerous medical groups in the southeast considered these modalities experimental. In early 2022 received stem cells w/PRP to the right side gluteal-hamstring region, providing substantial pain relief. However, a deep ache “somewhere” in the right side gluteal -hamstring region persisted. Then I discovered FOCUSED Extracorpeal Shockwave Treatment. Again, a modality not accepted by the general orthopedic profession, as it too, is considered limited in effectiveness. Early 2023 I met Wendy; did not take long to know that I had found the right person & place. Wendy spent quality time with me to understand exactly what & where the chronic pain persisted; guiding her in setting precise levels & areas for shockwave treatment. Her extensive medical background experience, & with Focused shockwave treatment, there WAS finally relief. Each session, either with Wendy, Ashley or Lilly provided instrument feedback, taking into consideration my verbal feedback as to the location & severity of pain generators. This is the advantage of the Focused shockwave over that of Radial shockwave. The deep persistent ache has finally subsided substantially & practically gone; now able to do extended “normal” walking & daily gluteal strengthening exercises. I expect to do a few more shockwave sessions & expect full pain relief. I experienced a horrible slip and fall at work and tore up both of my knees beyond repair. Over 18 months after the fall, I was still being sent to various doctors and physical therapists; but, the pain in my knees and legs was not getting any better. In fact, the pain was worsening. The steroid injections that were supposed to relieve the pain for 3 months only gave me partial relief for approximately 3 weeks; them I had to wait 3 more months to get another shot. I am so grateful that I found PRP Regeneration Specialists. I was in a car accident a few years ago and my recovery hit a dead end. They are absolutely wonderful and want to help you. I had a baby this past year and was hit head on 7 weeks later. It shattered my lumbar and after the spinal surgery my body was just broken from all the trauma. I had no energy and was in a constant fog of pain. I was not functioning normally at all and had no quality of life. We discussed shockwave and testosterone to help with my autoimmune issues. IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I can care for my baby while working full time. I am able to do things that before would have me in bed for days recovering. I cannot say enough good things about them. My wife had a treatment by Wendy. When I asked about what scientific studies there were to support the efficacy and validity of the ESWT, she said that she didn’t know of any, but that she was “Doing my own research here at the clinic”. That is not a valid scientific, randomly selected study, but an obviously biased one. She also tried to upsell us on $1,000 per treatment of amniotic fluid & PRP. Not only did the treatment have no beneficial effect, but it put my wife into a pain crisis in all her joints by the following day. Wendy’s explanation of the basis for technique was illogical and reflected a lack of the bodies immune & inflammatory processes. I also am a nurse practitioner with over 40 years of ICU, ER nursing as well as 30 years of teaching in nursing programs including pathophysiology. While small studies exist, none were of a size that that reputable doctors and scientists would deem reliable.

Last April, a MRI revealed that had a medial meniscus tear and osteoarthritis in my left knee. I am a very active 55 year old who teaches group fitness, runs, walks, plays PickleBall and enjoys all types of water sports. I am a competitive tennis player and pickleball tournament player. I came to Wendy Wiggs and PRP regeneration Specialists after many failed months of physical Therapy to help me recover from my severe Achilles tendonitis on one ankle and a small Achilles tear on my other ankle. I only had a few months to recover from my injuries in order to compete in the National Pickleball championships I had qualified for back in June 2023. PRP Regeneration Specialist was a great experience, the office is very professional but yet relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful, Wendy Wiggs was very thorough in her explanation of the injury and then the procedure before and during the injection of the stem cells on my knees. I officiate college football and my knees felt almost 30% better on my next game 2 weeks after my injection and almost 50% my game the following week. So, for that I am very thankful. The office offers many different types of procedures to help with pain, injuries or just to help you feel better as we continue to age and to help slow down that process or feel as good as you can while getting older. I would definitely go and visit PRP for any type of alternative medicine or procedures, I really appreciate the care that I received there.

Wendy and her staff are amazing. I was having major knee pain (torn meniscus and arthritis) and had tried everything. I was for sure a candidate for knee replacement, but was trying to avoid it as I own my own business that requires me to be on my feet and active. Time off from work meant I didn't have the ability to work. I got to the point I could barely walk my dog without pain and limping.
