Cozy Canadian restaurant! The atmosphere was super fun and the staff was super friendly! The burgers were absolutely delicious and massive so definitely share size. My only complaint was for the dessert. It was delicious but we had to wait around 30 minutes for it which was not worth it in my opinion.

Great burger place close to a lot of the Marriott hotels nearby. We entered and quickly got seated and our waitress did a great job of directing us to the best dishes! We got pierogi’s and the Memphis best and damn was that an impressive burger but the icing on the cake was the large selection of drinks and the drinks are large as well!

Great atmosphere! I had prime rib soup and maple bread pudding! Yummy!!! Excellent! We had a great time. The waiter was wonderful. He informative and funny and courteous. Great time.

Great place for the family. Food was really good, it took 45min to get but we DID order a 4lb burger so the wait time was understandable. Desert was good too. The wait staff was quick and on point. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.

Visiting for a wedding and staying close by, the chicken tenders are some of the juiciest I have ever eaten. The food is amazing I did a pickup order and the staff was lovely. We joked and in the short time I was there picking up my food they made the experience fantastic. Thank you guys so much for the absolutely delicious meal! Much love from the Mitten state!!

We had a group of six. We had a Great time and met the owner. The staff was very nice food and drinks were good. Their Happy Hour and 34oz cocktail special are great‼️ I would recommend and will come back too!

The portion was a good size- actually really large but the total came to almost 20$ (Grubhub) I specified that I wanted REAL whipped cream to replace the ice cream. There either wasn’t an option to make a note or I overlooked it so I called in and spoke with a member of the staff who told me they had REAL whipped cream. It arrived and it was cool whip which is acceptable on a broke struggle meal but absolutely inappropriate on top of a 20$ peach cobbler. The cobbler itself was pretty tasty but wayyyy to much cinnamon and sugar on top- it was a thick coating over the top and there weren’t very many peaches in the cobbler mostly filling instead. All in all not bad but for 20$ (or even the 11.15$ or whatever it was on the menu) was pretty steep for a dozen peaches and some cool whip. Oh- I also ordered it at 445 and it arrived at 6p so that’s not too fantastic for Sunday night and me being only 5 min away.

From up North in Montreal to the mid South of Memphis, they've brought the Great White North Flavors and flair to the Bluff City. It is conveniently located in downtown Memphis, between the Riverfront and Beale Street area. Hop off the trolley and stroll up Union Avenue, and find them by the Peabody. The atmosphere had a Northern Lodge feel, but the food was out of this world good. Everyone can make a good hamburger, but their bacon blue cheese burger was something to rave about. The quality ingredients, along with a seasonings and the way it was prepared wad the perfect symphony flavors to your pallet. The brown gravy for my fries was practically a new food group in itself. I won't even begin to describe how good the home made beef stroganoff was. You will have to try it for yourself. While you are at it, challenge yourself to the Kookamonga Burger. Eat it all in a certain time, and become a local legend. Join the others on the wall of fame. When Shawn Danko the president sat down to visit with me, I should have had them take our photo. Well, I guess that's just another reason to stop in. They are staying true to what they do best, and that makes food lovers like myself, Kooky Happy.

Four of us visited for lunch. The waitress was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable and cheerful. We ordered burgers and macaroni and cheese ended with peach cobbler topped with ice cream. The food was on point and service provided was stellar. We had a great time and food appeared on time and hot. Order was sent out as ordered and at the proper temperature the fries were crispy and both sweet potato fries and fresh cut potato fries were delicious.

I went here on a Sunday during lunch with a party of three. The food was very delectable the environment was very nice. The mimosas where the best part. Definitely a spot to check out.

Kooky Canuck is famous and what Memphis is supposedly known for, for its kookamonga 7.5 lb burger but that's not what we got. I got a Memphis influenced BBQ burger and it was good. The price is alright and our fries were a bit soggy but over all a good experience. I'd recommend it but not the best spot in Memphis, unless you wanna try a 8lb burger, then it may be the only spot!

I was debating if I wanted to do the food challenge, but still left with a full belly eating just a normal meal. The Pimento & Fried Green Tomato Burger was delish (although I'll try another burger next time) and my fries were crispy and fresh. I also had the Chocolate Chip Cookie dessert which is served inside a skillet. I think if it had 2 scoops of ice cream, then it would've been absolutely perfect. My server was Jessica and even though it was busy she made sure to not forget about me.

Last meal of 2021 at Kooky Canuck. We always enjoy the classic burger and chicken fingers. It wasn't too crowded and service was good.

My family and I were in town from Houston and wanted to try this place since we heard about and saw it on TV. Big mistake! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! The service is TERRIBLE!! I do not recommend it at all and I would never go here again! The waitress was very slow, forgetful, and rude! This place is over rated and the food wasn't that good.

I was rather disappointed with this place. I ordered the Maple Sirloin and while giving my order to the server, I specifically asked that my steak be cooked extra well done. Less than 10 minutes later, the server brings me out a mini skillet with a few green beans and cut up pieces of steak sitting on top of the green beans. The mashed potatoes were missing and I had to ask where they were for the server to let me know that they had run out and then he proceeded to ask me what I wanted in place of them. The steak was pink and it was practically mooing so I asked the server if he could please ask the cook if he would throw it back on the grill. He brings it back and it was still pink even after already sending it back for the same reason. I then asked for a manager and he did take my meal off the bill but it was still a disappointing experience because I had read such great reviews of this place. My friend ordered the Maple Bacon Burger and she was satisfied with it. I don’t think I would visit here again.

This place was on my bucket list for a while, and it was worth the trip. The poutine was delicious, and now I know why Canadians are so crazy about it. The burger I got, the Canadian, was good but seemed over cooked and like it had a little too much going on. The fries that came with my burger were the definition of deep fried, and seemed more grease than potato. Could've lived without them. I didn't catch the name of our server, but she was a tattooed girl with dark hair. She was pretty awesome, and gave excellent service. The music that was playing seemed like a drunk person managed to hijack the jukebox. Not sure what that was about.

Had a good time. Sybil took really good care of us. Customer service seems to be really good all around. Food was quick and very presentable. Pleasantly surprised by how yummy my South western salad w fried chicken was! Bathrooms are nice and clean. Only complaint are the animal "trophies" all over the place. Personally a little offensive so I would've liked the option of sitting somewhere without it. Just a warning in case for those who also don't care for it.

Service was great! Sat pretty quickly. Server came over and introduced herself. Was very entertaining. The beef and potato soup was delicious. The mash potatoes were delicious. That's where the good ended. The catfish was from temperature and soggy. The vegetables were unseasoned and almost cold. The chicken looked dehydrated and unseasoned. Not sure if I'll be back to eat. May go to drink...

Early afternoon visit, at 3pm. Plenty of tables, so seated quickly. Ordered buffalo chicken sandwich, Holy smokes burger (yes it is hot), & Kooky club. Everything was hot & delicious. Fries with all were tasty Also had a beer and strawberry mojito. Also excellent. Drinks & food came out timely. Ordered the deep dish brownie, for the 3 of us to share. Yummy! We took a visit one early evening late afternoon. It was not crowded around 6 PM. The ambience and décor, Let's just say there are a lot of antlers in the place. Fried green tomatoes was the appetizer of choice for the day. A house burger and fish and chips was ordered. Our sides were fried green tomatoes, macaroni and cheese and greens. The appetizers were so so. The hamburger appeared to be of a frozen variety. Even though it was ordered medium, It appeared to be drier than normal. French fries were house cut and a bit greasy. The fish was beer battered. It was not ligh and crispy, Is was rather dark and crunchy. It had a weird taste that's undescribable. The Mac and cheese and greens were soso. 10 years ago the food was different, and I'll leave it at that.

The hubs and two kiddos were in Memphis for a few nights, stayed at the Peabody Hotel, and ran over here to grab dinner on the first night. The food and service was so awesome that we came back the next evening! We had the prime rib sandwich, the club, a few of the burgers (monte Cristo, Yonge Street, Memphis' Best) and chicken fingers, as well as the BBQ egg rolls. Everything was delicious and served hot! We ended the first meal with the Avalanche dessert and it was incredible. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The atmosphere is nice and the menu had a nice variety. However, our burgers were so greasy that the bottom bun was almost inedible. They tasted good, but were very sloppy. Thankfully the service was very good. If we come back, we'll try something different. EDIT: I appreciate hearing from the president in response to my review. Understanding now that "the mess is (intentionally) part of the fun" I'm changing my review from 4 to 5-stars. I can tell this is a well-run establishment, and the attention to detail (like getting a response from the president!) demonstrates that they deserve 5-stars!

It was surprisingly good

The food was really good. I have never in my life heard of blue cheese mashed potatoes but I’ll be dreaming of them from now on! Staff was friendly and helpful. The food is delicious.

My fiance and I visited Memphis this past weekend and gave this place a try. I must say I was absolutely in LOVE with the food. My fiance had a burger but I got the fried catfish! It was hands down the best catfish I've ever had!!! On top of the friendly service and wonderful ambiance! I will most definitely be returning upon our next visit!

I ordered food to go. The bartender was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere seemed to be very family oriented. Food was just ok. Burger was very dry and fries were good but not hot and fresh. My moms food was very under cooked. Streamed veggies. They were barely cooked. I was very disappointed. It was very cold outside so I didn't drive back for them to re steam them. I ordered a margarita and it was just to much liquor which took away the taste of the drink. Don't know that I would return to give them a second chance. I won't recommend.

First time eating here and we were with a large group. Reservations were called in but still waited an hour because others were using half our tables. We weren't offered drinks while we were waiting at the open tables. There was one waitress for our group and she had a hard time keeping up with demands and orders. The food was okay, had a simple hamburger and fries. Burger was just like any other burger just big, I took half home and the fries were greasy. They had many specialty burgers with maple suryp and bacon, spicy burgers and 12 pound burgers, I'm not into sweet or spicy burgers. One guest had the sirloin steak dinner and it was served on a 6 inch cast iron and the steak was cut up into strips, not worth the 12 bucks. Variety of food and reasonable prices.

Me and my husband came here because it was featured on food networks man vs food! All of the staff was really nice and friendly. It appeared to be a really fun atmosphere. The food however was mediocre. I got the bbq egg rolls which were pretty good. I got the Memphis Best Burger. I added bacon lettuce and tomato to it and the egg over easy. When i got my burger it was missing all the additions and the white of the egg wasn’t cooked all the way. Every time i order an egg over easy the white part is cooked but the yolk is runny. When i bit into the burger it was unfortunately dry and bland. Probably cause the burger was cooked well done (we were never asked how we liked our burger cooked) The fries were good. My husband had a similar experience with his meal with his burger being dry and bland and he was brought the wrong side. He ordered sweet potato fries, but was brought regular fries. However our waitress was really nice and worked to promptly get us everything we needed. I would say that i wouldn’t come back to kooky Canuck, but I’m glad i checked it off the bucket list!

We stopped in looking forward to trying this famous spot. We sat in the bar area and the waiter was helpful, not busy at all , as to be expected during this unfortunate time frame. I would assume though that with so many additional employees, there were what appeared to be a lot of waitresses, some working , some just stopping by , masks half off running in and out of the kitchen area and bathroom, standing in groups out front...it was to bad that we ended up waiting far to long for a simple meal, which ended up not being cooked right. We were highly disappointed . The waitresses, never a hello , nothing , just running around like they could care less that there are customers waiting for food. Funny thing is besides us there were only, 3 other tables with customers, appears to be more of an employee and friends social hour than a restaurant. It was a shame . There are so many restaurants suffering , if customers are coming in and trying to support local businesses the only thing needed is a kind word, warm welcome and some good food provided with decent service. If your looking for that right now , I would NOT recommend this location at the moment. Hopefully the owners will be able to fix this and the location will be worth the trip to try in the future.
