GOOD! This place needed to get closed. They took my money for the basic PADI cert, gave me the books then refused to schedule me for the training dives. I've called and emailed over the years trying to get scheduled or get a refund to never have my calls or emails returned. 5 years later I was about to call again and I see they've shut down. Owner Joe was rude, and the store in staff were terrible. I hope the new dive shop there is ALOT better.

I recently went in to ask about local diving and to scope out the store, it was later in the day before they were about to close so there weren't any other customers in the shop so it was hard to ignore me but the owner did seem impatient/burnt out and i had to ask a lot of specific questions to get the info that i was looking for, but he (the owner i assume) is very knowledgeable. the store is fairly well stocked. i was most impressed with the indoor pool, the gear that they have for rent, and changing facilities on site (not all places have that) Its not the best shop I've been to, but I still would recommend it.

I walked in wanting to show them a like new regulator that I recently purchased at a yard sale for $50 they showed me to the owner. I had planned on asking for $150 then taking $100 at the least the first thing I said was do you buy used regulators the owner said yes. I told him that I had recently purchased a regulator at a yard sale I'd like him to look at . He told me we're not interested in some regulator you got stuck with. A little confused I asked again you don't buy used regulators he said no we do we're just not interested yours. I hadn't shown him the regulator it was at my house but I had pictures on my phone I wanted to show him he wouldn't even look at the pictures . So I went home put it on eBay for at auction .99 cents it sold for $387 plus shipping. I'm actually really happy the owner was such a dick.

Totally IGNORED when I walked in, I was going to spend a lot of money after doing research on the gear. The owner Joe was very rude and he wouldn't give me the time of day. I am glad I had a very bad experience with them as it opened up my eyes to Divers Unlimited in Norfolk who the owner Joe and Nancy spent a few hours with me and educated me on what my purchase was going to be and they even have better prices

Went in to ask about scuba lessons for 2 on short notice. Pricing was explained but was told the biggest issue with short notice was having time to read the book. I asked if I could buy a book in advance so if we decided to do it we could study ahead of time. Was told yes but that that the other person would need to buy their own book if we decided to take the course because each student needs their own set of forms included with the book. We did not have the time to take the class but also learned you could do the classroom on line and skip classroom time. I decided to do the classroom online but when I tried return the book since I would be paying for online versions of the materials and forms I was told their policy is to not take the course materials back. So the issues are varied 1. I was never informed that you could do the classroom online even though the classroom time was pointed out to be an issue. 2. I made it perfectly clear that this was a maybe and my asking to buy the book was me trying to solve the "time to read the book" issue that was pointed out, so you would think that the answer should have been yes you can buy the book, but you should know we don't take back course materials even if they are unused.

I came to town recon the area and make contacts for Tennessee divers to come here to wreak dive. I loved the shop thought it was stocked well and nice video monitored pool. Did not like dive quarters service it was the worse. Dont expect a red carpet but I do expect a little local information, and work with me, to be able dive in your area. With +21 years as a padi divemaster Ive learned to ignore tired burtout shop workers, but no help is no help. That's why I recon, that way everyone isn't disappointed. Looking for a different operator to spend my divers money with.

Walked into the store and TOTALLY IGNORED! walked around and after 10 minutes or so NO one had even asked if I needed help. I approached a person (which I assume to be the owner) and he was incredibly rude! I asked about Fin sizing and how they would work if I wore boots. He asked if I was going to buy any, and not being scuba certified yet, I said I was looking into it for the future. Then he basically kicked me out of his store! Stating he only helps customers and that "there is the door, get out". I would never go back AGAIN. he just lost a lot of money since a group of us were going to do it together.

Well stocked shop. Graduated depth to 16' indoor pool. Enthusiastic and patient instructors. Streamlined certification process. They have their own shaded shelter at Lake Rawlings where they perform the open-water instruction and check-dives. Lake Rawlings is ideal since the water is clear and temperate with a large shallow area and many platforms, so that you're very comfortable and stress-free before venturing into the deeper areas. Matt (a superb instructor) went beyond the call-of-duty to assist my son when he had cert-card issues.
