I love the hive and I’m so happy to be apart of it! From the moment I realized Andrea‘s concept of women and collaboration instead of competition I knew this was a place for me. Andrea has worked hard to create a safe space that is not only cute but functional. I love the downtown location, and the fact that it’s locked adds additional safety. It has just about anything that you need from a party/gathering space, a conference room, or a classroom, and podcast/small media room. I’ve also learned a lot from other women that are part of the hive, and the lunch and learns serve delicious food as well as getting great information as well as connection with other women. If you were looking for networking, friendships, a place to get out of your house and work check out the hive, I promise you won’t be disappointed

Since February, I've been a member of this amazing network of people. With small business ownership, things comes in waves. Waves of great growth, great joy, great sorrows, and great stresses. During the calm moments, it's easy to work at my own pace in my own space, but during those waves, it can be difficult to know where to turn and to get overwhelmed and feel lonely or unsupported - unless I go to the Hive. The coworking space is a benefit, but the real value is in the people, the events, and did I mention the people? My business wouldn't be standing without me, and I wouldn't be standing without the Hive. Thank you!

The Hive is the best-known hub to nurture women-owned businesses in Wichita, Kansas. The heart of The Hive is a community of entrepreneurial women who help and support each other as they start or grow businesses. There is a regular schedule of social and professional development events, which regularly run long because members don't want to leave. If you need community for support or problem-solving while doing something difficult, it is the perfect place to be. For women who want to start a business and don't know where to start, there are group or individual coaching options, and a self-paced course in how to establish a business. The video course is taught by women in the city, Lawyers, Bankers, Owners and experts in key disciplines for success. Besides community, half of the physical space is set up for co-working, and the rest is made of offices and event rooms for rent to incubate new businesses, or as an away-from-home office for remote workers. Several young businesses have started here, then grown into bigger offices or venues of their own.

The Hive is one of the most incredible additions I could have done for my business. After leaving the corporate world and becoming a solo entrepreneur, the biggest thing I struggled with was missing that “office” lifestyle and having the office conversations. Enter, The Hive! I can literally go whenever to keep with my office hours and get out of my home office, interact with people and feel that sense of community that gets missed when you work for yourself! On top of the flexibility to go whenever I want, the networking events are a solid 15/10! It gives me a way to meet other bee’s as well as learn from some amazing women! I highly recommend The Hive!
