Love this place for fresh meat! Gerwig's has really good meat. They have a ground pork sausage that we buy in both bulk and sandwich sized patties. This sausage is very flavorful but is not too salty. Most sausage is extremely salty so we gave up on buying it until we found Gerwig's. The staff here is always very friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Gerwig's also carries Mush! I do miss seeing Kevin at the meat counter though.

A gem in Ashland County. Not many towns can say that they have an independent, family-run, grocery store. Love the pictures and history seen on the walls that honors the owner’s previous generations-whom I’m sure are shining down smiling! Best meat department and produce selection.

We've been shopping here since I relocated to Ashland in 1998. The meat department is the BEST in Ashland. Great family owned business, and 3rd generation of family now at the helm with the sad passing of their folks so close together. We look forward to continuing great food and meat for the coming years. Give them a try, you won't regret it

The store inside is great! Items are still in the same place. The clearance items have moved but to a better location. I love this store. Always clean and always greeted with smiles! ☺️

Nice, cozy country grocery store. Local produce. Best homemade hamloaf oven ready!! Great deli and meat department. Nice greenhouse for plants and flowers. Small selection of hot food available in the bakery!! BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN TOWN AVAILABLE IN THE BAKERY!!

Very cool store will be back. Pretty good prices for a store in the middle of nowhere.

Usually don't have an issue when I go to Gerwig's. But today I went in this morning and asked for 12 1/4 lb burger patties. Got home and was ready to grill for a get together and realized I was only given 8. So I drove back out there and asked if you had anymore more burgers and lady the in the deli said "nope, we're all out " This is frustrating because I wasted time and gas to go back out to fix someone else's mistake and was told there wasn't anymore. The lady at the counter didn't care whatsoever which is what i get usually running into retail. So in the end I had to go to two other stores to try and get burger. If i have a good experience in he future i will change the rating but i feel its necessary for now.🤷‍♂️

I love the small town feel of this store but the huge variety of product! I particularly come for the tub of Philadelphia cream cheese cheesecake mix. I don't make cheesecakes out of it, I just eat it right out of the tub. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else!! So I hope they keep stocking it! 😋😘🥰❤️
