This shop showed me some love. I bought a brand new long board that was beautiful. The day I rode it, it was beginning to crack. I brought it in again just to get a new board and salvage the trunks. But they stepped it up, they gave me a whole exchange and i got a new board fully equipped. That is quality assurance at its best!

Customer service at its finest. Slim was super helpful, knowledgeable, listened to our needs, and answered all of our questions. He made sure that my son was getting what he wanted and what was suitable for him. Great shop. So glad we shopped local.

My 9 year old grandson is getting into skateboarding. He got a hand me down board from his uncle and the trucks were shot. I thought he could use a new board and found First Gear in Berwyn so we headed over and let him pick something out. They have a great selection of boards, trucks, wheels and hardware. The guy (sorry I didn't get your name) showed us all the goodies that would work great with the Santa Cruz board he picked out. He put the grip tape on the board for us and we decided to bring the rest home and build it ourselves. We built the board and he took it out for a ride. Two hours later he still had a smile on his face. I think he is sleeping with it now. The shop is so nice and organized and has everything skateboard you would want. I think we are heading back for some shoes and gear soon. Thanks First Gear Skateshop!!

This shop is definitely dope. Good people, down to earth and good products.

The person working was very helpful and not overly aggressive on what to purchase. My daughter was very happy with her selection.

wandered in there with my son, who is nine years old to build his first custom skate board. The shop did a fantastic job of helping him make the right choices and understand what he was spending his hard earned money on.
