Unassuming spot with great food and large portions. We stopped in on a whim and walked out with our own personal buffet which fed us for days. And just because you get a lot doesn't mean they skimp on quality -- everything we got was excellent! Would highly recommend. Also, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They aren't entirely setup for dine-in, but they did a lot to accommodate us and make us feel welcome.

A hidden gem! If you are looking for great local meal near the airport this is your place. Besides the poboys, there are plate lunches and meats to take home and cook (and some products are frozen if you want to take some on the plane with you). Multiple types of sausages and stuffed pork chops and stuffed chicken breast. I had the muffuletta, warmed up, and it was delicious! Heaped with meat, great olive spread, and fresh baked bread. The half was too much for me to finish as a lunch portion. And great prices. Not a lot of seating and you have to keep your eyes open or you’ll drive right past it. Everyone was super friendly. I’ll be stopping by again!

Wish I would have taken a picture of our muffuletta but we dove into it right away! We arrived right about the time the kitchen was closing from our flight into NOLA but Doug and his sister welcomed us in and took great care of us. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food because it was delicious.

Found this place looking for a quick bite before returning a rental car and flying out. First off, the food was great and reasonably priced for the portions. My wife and I each had po' boys and sides of jambalaya. The bread was fresh and light, and flavors were great. But even better than the food are Stephie and her brother Doug. Kind, hospitable, and just all-around great people. Thoughtfully letting those calling in orders know that traffic was bad so to give themselves extra time. The constant stream of regulars—greeted by name—tells you everything you need to know both about the food and Doug and his sister. But even as first-timers we were greeted just as warmly—so much so that we FELT like regulars by the time we left after a quick lunch. So definitely take the time to stop by, and be sure to enjoy this hard-working team while you wait—you won't regret it.

The muffuletta was fantastic. Great cheap place for some authentic southern food. My son got the cheeseburger and my wife got the bbq chicken sandwich. All were winners! Southern hospitality is a real thing at the store. I’m impressed!

My family and I saw this place and decided to stop and try it. Lil Doug's did NOT disappoint! Doug was the best! He was the only one working, but that didn't take away from anything. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We talked to him the whole time he was making our food. We ordered his Cajun shrimp po boys, Italian muffuletta, and some of his own jalepeno cheddar sausage links. We received so much food for the price. Well worth it if you're ever in the area!!! Thanks Doug!

Ms. Stephanie and Mr. Doug were really friendly and great with customer service, as for the food DELICIOUS (everything was fresh and cooked to order) the whole atmosphere vibe was delightful. It’s really nice to know that there are some old fashioned family owned Cajun Markets that still exist…
