👍👍 Sylvan has been amazing for our family! Our youngest was really struggling with the pandemic and had fallen behind. He’s now ahead of grade level and loves learning. So thankful for all the effort and support! People often mention reading, Sylvan, grade, year, confidence, read,

My twin 2nd graders were already struggling with reading and were getting extra help at school when everything shut down in March 2020. It became very apparent that we were going to need to get them extra help for the new school year. I spoke with Brian at the Snohomish Sylvan location about my concerns and he reiterated that we were at a pivotal age where the girls were going to be switching from learning to read to reading to learn. The further behind they are in reading, the further they become behind in other aspects because they are just struggling to read the words and missing the concept that is being taught. Brian was great with reviewing what our goals were and what our budget was. My girls have gained so much confidence in the last 9 months. They are almost caught up to where they need to be for reading expectations which is a great improvement from where we began. I have definitely seen a noticeable difference in their reading ability, their testing ability, and their spelling. With this crazy last year in schooling, I am feeling so much better about their 3rd grade year because of the investment we made into getting them up to speed on their skills. I highly recommend the Snohomish Sylvan.

Going to Sylvan or “reading club” (as my son calls it) has been an amazing experience for my first grade son. He started at Sylvan a year ago when we discovered he needed extra support in reading. Going to Sylvan twice a week has been the best decision. My son looks forward to attending and loves all of the teachers. Sylvan has increased my son’s confidence in reading and he is so proud to share the awards he earns.

Sylvan has been amazing for my son. He really struggled thru the Covid setback, they have been a positive influence in helping him gain confidence in reading a writing. We’ll continue to utilize your services for all schooling needs!

My son started Sylvan 1.5 years ago for math. He has progressed significantly in foundational math skills which has resulted in higher grades second semester last year and a new level of confidence he didn’t have before. This summer we started my daughter in Academic Reading to make sure she feels confident in the fall for school. Both of my kids are happy to attend in the summer!

My now 3rd grader took a hard hit during the end of kindergarten and his 1st grade year due to Covid. Online school was brutal when it came to him learning how to read. He then struggled all through 2nd grade and had low confidence in the classroom. At the beginning of 3rd grade I met with his teacher who informed me they would be reading chapter books. My kiddo was nowhere near being able to read a chapter book! He was not confident in class and was really embarrassed with his “early reader” books. He was on grade level for Math but soon that was about to be a challenge as well because of struggles he experienced when trying to read directions and story problems. Now this is where Sylvan comes in…. A few of my fellow educator friends spoke highly of Sylvan Learning in Snohomish. From the moment my kiddo and I met Brian I knew it was going to be a good fit. Brian, Dave, Kathy, Gail, and others did such a great job connecting with my son! They helped make the reading practice fun and motivating for him. My son never complained when we needed to go to “reading practice” as we liked to call the sessions. Brian was always willing to answer my many questions and provided me with routine updates on my son’s progress. My son’s 3rd grade teacher wrote on his 1st semester report card that my child had made “commendable reading progress”. My son has also demonstrated his new found reading confidence by reading willingly at home and to his younger brother. I highly recommend Sylvan in Snohomish—not just any Sylvan—specifically Snohomish. I truly believe you couldn’t find a better and more supportive group of adults to help your child make gains.

My son has been going here for the past year for reading, we have seen tremendous growth in not only his ability to read but also his confidence. The teachers and staff are kind and super easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!
