My
now
3rd
grader
took
a
hard
hit
during
the
end
of
kindergarten
and
his
1st
grade
year
due
to
Covid.
Online
school
was
brutal
when
it
came
to
him
learning
how
to
read.
He
then
struggled
all
through
2nd
grade
and
had
low
confidence
in
the
classroom.
At
the
beginning
of
3rd
grade
I
met
with
his
teacher
who
informed
me
they
would
be
reading
chapter
books.
My
kiddo
was
nowhere
near
being
able
to
read
a
chapter
book!
He
was
not
confident
in
class
and
was
really
embarrassed
with
his
“early
reader”
books.
He
was
on
grade
level
for
Math
but
soon
that
was
about
to
be
a
challenge
as
well
because
of
struggles
he
experienced
when
trying
to
read
directions
and
story
problems.
Now
this
is
where
Sylvan
comes
in….
A
few
of
my
fellow
educator
friends
spoke
highly
of
Sylvan
Learning
in
Snohomish.
From
the
moment
my
kiddo
and
I
met
Brian
I
knew
it
was
going
to
be
a
good
fit.
Brian,
Dave,
Kathy,
Gail,
and
others
did
such
a
great
job
connecting
with
my
son!
They
helped
make
the
reading
practice
fun
and
motivating
for
him.
My
son
never
complained
when
we
needed
to
go
to
“reading
practice”
as
we
liked
to
call
the
sessions.
Brian
was
always
willing
to
answer
my
many
questions
and
provided
me
with
routine
updates
on
my
son’s
progress.
My
son’s
3rd
grade
teacher
wrote
on
his
1st
semester
report
card
that
my
child
had
made
“commendable
reading
progress”.
My
son
has
also
demonstrated
his
new
found
reading
confidence
by
reading
willingly
at
home
and
to
his
younger
brother.
I
highly
recommend
Sylvan
in
Snohomish—not
just
any
Sylvan—specifically
Snohomish.
I
truly
believe
you
couldn’t
find
a
better
and
more
supportive
group
of
adults
to
help
your
child
make
gains.
