I had the good fortune to supervise Genna Rendino for many years. She is highly professional and skilled at establishing rapport with the people she serves. She is able to support them in making the decisions necessary to improve their lives. She is insightful and effective working with people of all ages. I recommend her highly to anyone seeking compassionate care for themselves or a loved one.

Dr. Coren has a unique ability to connect with even the most resistant clients. He makes them feel understood while helping them to make positive changes in their lives. He is exceptionally knowledgeable in the field of addictions, which, combined with his caring and charismatic manner, has earned him the respect of his colleagues, other professionals, and his clients alike. I was fortunate to be able to learn from him when he was my supervisor, and I continue to consult with him as a colleague in the present.

Catherine Jacobsen, MSW, LCSW I recommend Barry Lessin without reservation. Not only have I work with Barry as a colleague for over 10 years, I’ve witnessed his passionate and effective advocacy on behalf of persons living with substance use and their families. His active support of a more sensible governmental approach to this country’s war on drugs has been instrumental in promoting evidence based treatment that is grounded in compassionate and non-punitive care. Barry is incredibly knowledgeable about cost-effective models of treatment that can best be implemented only in the context of a public policy that allows for nonjudgmental, client centered treatment. This knowledge informs his practice. Barry is not only a thoughtful, well-informed professional, but a warm, genuine, down-to-earth practitioner who easily earns the trust of his clients and families. With sensitivity and unconditional acceptance, he has assisted countless individuals and families identify and achieve their unique goals. I have been especially impressed with his skill in working with teens and young adults and their families. Perhaps the most compelling endorsement of Barry’s expertise is the help my own family received when we sought his counseling for substance use. While I know and respect a number of clinicians in the field, there was never any question that Barry’s expertise and sincere caring was what we needed. He didn’t disappoint. Catherine Jacobsen, MSW, LCSW

I recommend Barry Lessin without reservation. I had the pleasure of working with Barry for many years and have continued to follow his practice as a psychologist and his passionate advocacy for his clients and their families over the years. He has been instrumental in making the case for compassionate and effective public policy to address the needs and best interests of those negatively impacted by substance use, and has been a catalyst for families organizing networks of support and self-advocacy. He is not only a thoughtful, well-informed professional, but a warm, genuine, down-to-earth practitioner who easily earns the trust of his clients and families. Over the years, he has assisted countless individuals and families work through their struggles to healthier lives, always keeping in mind their unique goals with sensitivity and without judgement. I have been especially impressed with his passion for, and effectiveness with, teens and young adults and their families. Though I had several colleagues that I could reach out to, Barry was my “go to” when I had concerns about substance use in my own family. There is no-one I could recommend more highly than Barry. Dana Meholic, MS is gifted in creating a connection with clients that is genuine and calming. I have witnessed the transformation of those that may not have thrived in therapy except they were lucky enough to work through their significant emotional challenges with Dana. She is someone to be trusted to say the hard things you need to hear in the kindest way possible. It's just her nature and she can do it with much-needed humor when appropriate. I always feel better after confiding in her and I believe you will, too. Jennifer A. Naspinski, MS, LPC
